The experience was dissapointing overall. I tried the Vietnamese coffee and found it to be way too sweet, which masked any actual coffee flavor. The espresso isn't great either... I had to dilute it with oat milk. The service is a bit awkward. It has a self service kiosk but I had to ask someone to order.
Stopped by Robu Coffee and tried the Vienna matcha latte. It was a bit too sweet for my taste (I personally don't love overly sweet drinks), but my friends actually liked it, so I think it just depends on your preference. The cafe itself is pretty small but cute, with some outdoor seating which is nice on a good day. I'd come back to try their fruit sando next time!
First time here... Service 3.5/5 The workers (2 of them) were busy making orders so we really were not greeted. You can order via the kiosk there so we did. Ambiance 3/5 Very small location with a few tables inside. They do have tables outside Decor for shop was ok. Nothing popping out at you. Coffee 4/5 Very decent Vietnamese coffee. We orders just Traditional Vietnamese Coffee and a Egg Coffee. Both were orders with 50% sweetness which is their default but I would probably ask for 25% because the 50% was a little too sweet for me. Overall the place is 3.5/5. I would go back but would not go out of my way if I was not in the area (I live in San Mateo)
I'm sorry, but this place is a no for me. They have amazing reviews, so it's possible I went on an off day, but my sister and I really did not enjoy the drinks we got. We ordered the strawberry calamansi fizz and a strawberry matcha, and neither was a winner for us. I can see how people would like the calamansi fizz, but we just didn't. The strawberry matcha, on the other hand, tasted a bit oxidized and bitter/grassy. I wish we had a better experience, as it's a very cute spot with a lot of variety. Hopefully it was just an off day & maybe I'll try it again one day but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
Another day, another banana matcha latte. This wasn't my favorite latte, I think it has something to do with the matcha smell/flavor. Maybe too earthy for me? BUT the banana pudding was so good. I love that they use fresh banana and Nilla wafers. Points for presentation too. I got oat milk and less sweet. Less sweet is the way to go. It's a little on the pricey side for a matcha, $7.95, plus $.80 for oat milk. They have lots of options for drinks and to eat. The sandos looked delicious. They also have their banana pudding canned and I'm sad I didn't get one. I ordered on a kiosk and it was made very quickly. Workers were polite. The parking is tricky if you've never been here. It's a small drive way next to the convenience store so don't miss it (like I did). Parking was easy, but the garage is very dark. Lots of indoor and outside seating so bring your furry friends.
Came here around 2:15 pm with my girlfriend on a Tuesday. Was not really packed at all, few people. Some bakery & sandwiches were already sold out but there was plentiful left, I imagine everything would be empty on the weekend. You can grab the sandwiches in the open fridge, the rest will be brought out when they call your name for your order. You order on the kiosk and the menu is pretty straightforward, lots of option. Chicken salad sandwich: pretty good, I love sliced almonds so this was good. Tuna salad sandwich: average tuna salad sandwich, nothing too fancy but pretty okay. Garlic bread bun: we got this heated and I'm not too fond of heated cream cheese but it was good overall. Banana cream in a can: super flavorful and delicious, I actually really liked it! Coconut Ube Vietnamese coffee: super strong and I would say it is more strong than flavored if you want something sweet you should get the regular coffees they have, not phin coffee. Matcha nitro: super good, not bitter at all and honestly tastes really well for nitro. I used to go to the pop up in Sunnyvale and this place was really good, I wish they had black sesame again, I used to get that all the time and it really balanced out the phin coffee. Overall, it was really good, I recommend for a good nice coffee shop!
I've had my eye on Robu for months and finally made my way there! The colorful photos of their coffees and yummy treat selection was enticing. Echoing others, parking was a bit awkward to find. I think I ended up parking in a smaller lot I wasn't supposed to, didn't find the garage others have mentioned. The shop is very clean and bright inside with lots of lighting. Not a lot of tables inside but there are some outside, and the outdoor are looks nice. Ordering was easy via a kiosk and staff brought items out quickly. I got their seasonal brown sugar banana latte and an egg salad sando. Both were delicious and I left no crumbs/drops! I loved the caramalized banana on too given with a little spoon, but I stirred it in to get yummy banana bits while drinking. I'll definitely be back to try others!
Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Free parking in the retail parking spots in the garage next to the store. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. Pretty small inside. I ordered the Vienna einspanner matcha latte, Korean garlic bun, and egg salad sando. The Vienna einspanner matcha latte was pretty good, not the best matcha I've had but good level of creaminess. I got whole milk but I was tasting a vanilla flavor similar to soy milk. Not my drinks but tried some of the banana pudding matcha latte which was solid, and the matcha latte (preferred the einspanner personally because I love cream). Korean garlic bun was unique, creamy, and flavorful and reminded me of stuffed bagels. Egg salad sando was good too, no complaints. Overall I think worth checking out!
Such a cute little drink spot in Mountain View! My friends and I came here after a workout session and it was the perfect pick me up. We were so surprised to see that they sold sandos here and had to get some. The drinks were all delicious and there's a good amount of choices. The staff were friendly and helped some of us with our drink choices. The only downside is that the interior is small so it has limited seating but if you're just looking to grab and go, then it's not an issue!
My boyfriend and I went here to try Japanese sandos, we wanted to try the egg salad and the strawberry sando. We got to try the tuna salad sando and egg salad, unfortunately the strawberry sandos sell out very early due to the popular demand. Good and filling! Especially on a weekend! The employee was nice and attentive. The sandwiches are packaged and put in the little fridge next to the registers. Seating available inside and outdoors. We sat outdoors for the calm city scenery. Parking is tight in a small garage on the side of the building.
Stopped by Robu to pick up drinks for some friends who are big fans of this matcha spot near our church, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Parking was a bit tough. The shop is located inside the Verve apartment building so I just parked nearby and walked. We ordered ahead online, which was super convenient for a larger order. The service was great! Everyone was really kind, and they even gave me boxes to help carry everything out. We tried the Vienna Einspanner Matcha Latte and you can really taste the quality. The matcha had a smooth, rich flavor that reminded us of the matcha we had in Uji, Japan. We also grabbed the egg sando, which was good and made for a quick, easy bite, but probably not a must-try compared to the drinks. The egg coffee, on the other hand, was surprisingly really good and came in a generous portion. Overall, a great spot for high-quality matcha and drinks. We'll definitely be back!
When we walked in, we were greeted by the worker. Their menu is really big and I love the options. It was so hard to choose between their phin drip coffees or their einspanner. I do love vietnamese coffee so I went with their salted coffee. It was perfect, the strong caffeine taste with the salted foam was delicious. I would definitely return! Lots of seating inside and outside.
New coffee shop in MV. Place is located on the main street, w/ parking available either in front (limited) or an underground parking structure just right before it. Go slow otherwise you might miss it. There's a few tables outside and a few inside. Aesthetic and ambiance is nice, pretty modern. I've tasted so many egg coffee, ube coffee, and pandan latte that I didn't really wanna try those here. Instead, I went for the cherry blossom latte and that was really good. The flavor was subtle so it's not too heavy when you take a sip. I really liked it and would get it again (minus the coco cream but that's my fault since I asked for it). There were a couple of other things on the menu that I would like to try so most definitely will be back to try something new! read more

Came here on a Tuesday around 2pm it was fairly empty there's a lot of out fore seating but only a few tables inside. We got a tuna sandwich a chicken sandwich and a Korean garlic bagel. The chicken sandwich was okay nothing crazy I'm not a fan of cream cheese so the garlic bun was not for me but my gf loved it so yay. The tuna sandwich was my fav out of the three but I mean it was alright nothing amazing but also not bad. We also got the banana cream thing I love banana cream so it was so good for me it wasn't too sweet and also the packaging was so cute I got the coconut ube latte and gf got the matcha nitro. The matcha nitro was so good I wish I got it. The coconut ube late was good the coffee was so strong. Overall the ambiance was nice the music was very calm I'd see people doing work there. I'm a little behind on posting this review, this post is for my visit from early Jan 2025. I'm happy to support an Asian women owned business! I came across Robu Coffee through Yelp because my boyfriend and I were looking for a matcha cafe. Even though Robu Coffee obviously specializes in coffee, we were happy to see their menu had matcha drinks available! I was intrigued with the Vienna Einspanner Matcha Latte and my boyfriend ordered the Yuzu Matcha Fizz. The Vienna Einspanner Matcha Latte was unlike any other matcha latte I've tried, the house-made Vienna Einspanner cream made the matcha taste creamy without being too sweet and the dust of matcha powder on top was a nice touch! The matcha powder was of premium quality, a true ceremonial grade matcha which gives the vibrancy and earthiness of the matcha drink! I didn't hint any bitterness or matcha granules at all. The Yuzu Matcha Fizz was sweet and refreshing! It's similar to a Matcha lemonade but with a twist of Asian flavors from the Yuzu. You can find bits of Yuzu from the yuzu fruit puree, it added a nice texture to every sip. This drink was finished quickly! The service was friendly and our drinks were ready in 5-10 minutes! The cafe itself is small, with only a few tables. However, the side tables did have a few power strips to help charge your phone or laptop which is a plus! Robu also serves baked goods and sandos which we didn't get to try at this visit. We'll be back if we happen to be in the area again! :) read more
This place used to be located in downtown Sunnyvale but now moved to Mountain View, where parking is somewhat easier. I've been parking on the street, but I think they're adding the bus lane or something, but there is retail parking that I have yet to checkout. Drinks here are incredible. They are sweet, creamy, and addicting. Whether it's their phin or their house flavored cream, the amount of sweetness mixed with the coffee is excellent. My go to the past couple times have been the Vienna Einspanner Latte but the Cherry Blossom Latte or the Ube Latte are also good. Just recently, I've noticed they added some Asian-style sandwiches in the refrigerated section that appealed to my Mom so we might try them next time. Inside is pretty small, with about 10-15 seats and nowhere to move. Staff is super friendly. Overall, this place is being included into the daily rotation of coffee places because they've got a great, unique selection that's worth coming back to. Go check them out! read more
Robu coffee was at the Sunnyvale lantern festival. I saw the photos on social media and it looked amazing, so made a stop here. Ordered the egg salad sandwich , Vienna coffee einspanner latte, and my family got the black sesame latte and coconut Pandan latte. The egg salad sandwich came in a decent portion and was flavorful. I split half with my husband and we each got our own coffees and were full. I read on the reviews that the Vienna einspanner latte was lighter than the other ones so I got that one for me and was pretty satisfied with it. It wasn't too sweet but had a decent amount of caffeine. My family really enjoyed their lattes too. Overall a solid spot and would eat again read more

Einspanners arrived and are here to stay. A friend got me Robu's Vienna Matcha Einspanner from the Sunnyvale pop up for my birthday back in August, but a coworker accidentally spilled it all. I got to try a few sips though! This required redemption; another friend and I drove over the day before Thanksgiving to find them closed, oh dear. Lesson learned, check their Instagram! Also, it says they're permanently closed on Apple Maps but that's a lie! Finally went back the next week after preordering online. I met owner Tammy who is the sweetest! She was so apologetic about training a new chef on the sandos and not having them be up to standard. She not only gave a refund but also gave us the famous Korean garlic buns on the house! Order these! They're so warm, fluffy, and stuffed with smooth, sweetened cream cheese filling, all surrounded by buttery garlic and Parmesan cheese. It looks like a hefty bagel inside. Drinks: *Vienna Matcha Einspanner *Black Sesame Latte *Cherry Blossom Latte Oat & almond milk available for an extra charge. The Vienna cream was amazing! Thick & luscious sweet cream layered on fresh matcha & milk. I got 25% sweet & less ice. They have a few toppings: crystal boba, coffee jelly, lychee jelly. The coffee shop is quaint, a bit more compact but the high ceiling and bright white interior with marble design tables both inside and out make up for it. Street parking or a few garage spots available behind the business. Can't wait to come back for the einspanner & try their egg salad & strawberry cream sandos! read more

Very chill place to study and a have a quick bite. I got the ube coconut coffee and it was not too sweet. It definitely had me up the rest of the day. The sando were really tasty but I noticed the bread was a little denser than other sandos I've had. Usually the milk bread is really soft and plush. Out of the three, tuna was definitely my favorite! read more
Robu finally has their own space in Mountain View and I am loving this new location! I knew them from their pop-up days but I'm glad they've established their presence to open up this shop. The owner, Tammy, is the sweetest and most personable individual ever. I always enjoy chatting with her! I actually went to their soft opening and I was one of the first few to get their free egg sando and drink. There is an ongoing trend of Asian-inspired drinks and Robu definitely hopped onto it! One of my favorite drinks on the menu is the cherry blossom latte, which has a cherry blossom cream layer on top that is aesthetic for photos. Another Asian-inspired drink I've yet to try is their pho coffee. They do have alternative milk options like almond or oat milk, but some of their drinks, like their ube latte, already have pre-mixed foam with dairy. There is seating inside and outside for the perfect coffee date or catch-up! There's also parking in the parking structure right before the shop or street parking, too. Overall, check this place out because there aren't that many trendy coffee places in Mountain View. This may very well end up being your new favorite coffee spot! read more
Strong cherry blossom latte -- has a strong coffee flavor in it and the creamer tastes more like strawberries than cherry blossoms but delicious otherwise. It is very fluffy but really sweet so be sure to dial down the sweetness if possible. read more

Robu Coffee is a craft coffee shop that offers a variety of great options such as Vietnamese coffees, special craft lattes, and non-caffeinated drinks to choose from. They opened back in May 2024 but recently moved to a new spot in Mountain View. I tried them back when they were in Sunnyvale and again once they moved to Mountain View. Personally, I think their drinks have improved since they first opened and I would definitely recommend people to give them another try! ORDER: |-| Egg Coffee ($7.25) - Vietnamese phin-dripped milk coffee topped with egg foam & cocoa powder. A classic strong Vietnamese coffee option with a foamy eggy topping that's creamy and delicious. |-| Vienna Einspanner Latte ($6.95) - Signature double shot espresso, fresh milk topped with house-made Vienna cream, and cocoa powder. Super creamy but doesn't wash out the coffee flavor. Although this is supposed to be a normal latte, it still had the flavor of a Vietnamese coffee which I enjoyed. read more
New Coffee Shop in the Bay Area! @robu.coffee is an Asian-inspired fusion coffee shop located in Mountain View, CA. They have a variety of drinks from matcha, Vietnamese coffee, and einspanner but it doesn't stop there! They also have delicious Japanese sandos and pastries. When we arrived some of the things like Korean garlic bagel and Pho Coffee (how cool does that sound!?) was sold out so you know it must be good and we will be back soon to try out those items! The drinks here at Robu are eye catching but also very well-made! We stopped by to grab a couple drinks. There is free street parking up front, or a small free underground parking garage right before the building, so it's very easy to pop in and out to get a drink. The inside is pretty small but still enough seating if you want to hang out. There are also some outdoor tables too. Service was great! They were very friendly. My husband's egg coffee was good, wish the egg cream was a little bit thicker, but the flavor was there. I loved my matcha strawberry latte! I saw them properly prepare the matcha also. I added on the Einspanner cream on top too which made it even smoother! I would just recommend grabbing a straw for this drink to mix in the thicker strawberry puree (love that it's real strawberry!). I usually don't get the straw if it has a sip lid but then realized later I could have mixed it better with a straw. read more

I've been here multiple times, and it never disappoints! One thing I love is how Tammy, the owner, always recognizes me when I stop by. She takes the time to ask how I've been or where I've been, which really shows how much she values her customers. This time, I ordered a few drinks: my go-to Coconut Ube Latte, a Strawberry Matcha, and one of their new seasonal drinks, the Coconut Pandan Latte. I'm usually not a fan of Vietnamese coffee since it's a bit too strong for me, but they were happy to adjust it to a regular latte with two shots of espresso. Both the Ube and Pandan flavors blend perfectly with the coffee, balancing out the espresso just right--I'd definitely order them again. The Strawberry Matcha? Always a solid 10/10! I love the little strawberry bits, and the flavors are perfectly balanced--neither the strawberry nor the matcha overpowers the other. What I really appreciate is how accommodating Tammy and the baristas are when it comes to customizing drinks. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back and will continue to support this women-owned small business! read more

So excited to finally try Robu's brick and mortar since I never got to stop by their pop up in Sunnyvale. There's street parking that's free, but the interior is pretty small so I'm not sure if it's somewhere where I'd stay and hang for a while. There are only a few tables inside. Drinks-wise I was under the impression that it was a coffee place that just had Asian flavors, but was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of viet coffees on the menu! I ordered the iced vietnamese coffee (normal one without toppings) with their default sweetness which is 50%. It was great! I loved that the actual coffee flavor shined through and it wasn't too sweet from the condensed milk. Would 100% order again, but I think next time I come back I want to try even more things from their enticing menu! I first tried Robu when they had a pop-up in Sunnyvale and knew I had to come back now that they have a permanent location! I'm a huge fan of their Vienna Einspanner Latte--it's rich, creamy, and has just the right hint of sweetness to balance the coffee. I hadn't planned on getting a pastry, but after eyeing the Mango Coconut Danish, I couldn't resist. I'm so glad I gave in because it was absolutely delicious! Parking can be a bit tricky since it's on a busy street (El Camino Real), but it's 100% worth checking out. I'll definitely be back! read more

Experience (4/5 stars): *Food: Egg sando and ube donut were ok. The chocolate donut was good - not too sweet and had filling in the middle *Drinks: Espresso tonic had more coffee flavor. Egg coffee was yummy! Sad they ran out of the Pho Coffee *Price: ~$12 for sandos & ~$7 for crafted phin *Service: great. We were debating on the pasties and the cashier helping us was very confident that we'd like the chocolate donut that she'd give us a refund if we didn't - confirmed she was right! Went for Breakfast Food - 5/5. The garlic bun was an absolute treat! The garlic butter provided a delicious savory aroma, which paired well with the sweet cream. Cream was not-too-sweet, with a fluffy texture that made a perfect fit with the soft bite of the bun. Matcha had a strong earthy flavor. Despite it being an einspanner, with all its sweet cream and milk, it was very matcha forward, with the sweetness helping to smooth it out. The signature latte was sweet and creamy with the rich, roasted flavor of the coffee to finish. Coffee jellies were fun to eat, offering a satisfying bite that soaked up the latte's flavor, making the drink feel reminiscent of bubble tea. Service - 4/5. Cashier was friendly and the ordering was quick. It was a very busy weekend morning, so the order took a moment, but still came out at a reasonable time. Value - 5/5. Drinks were $7 with the oat milk substitution adding $0.80 and the bun was priced at $7, which is quiet standard. Drinks were creative, delicious, and offered a large variety. We visited on a hot Saturday afternoon and luckily found parking in the street in front of the shop. We ordered the chicken salad sando and it was light and refreshing for this hot day. It had a good texture with the creamy mayo chicken and almonds and sprouts and celery with the soft white bread. I also ordered the strawberry matcha and once mixed taste the perfect balance of sweet strawberry and matcha; I would get it again if in Mountain View. The staff was nice and fairly fast for how long the line was. The ambiance was a cute, trendy, and chill aesthetic. Perfect place to cool off on a hot day. read more

A quick grab and go coffee place that has street parking. The menu is very diverse and had asian flavors that caught my eye. I got a regular vietnamese coffee and the ube latte. The vietnamese coffee is a bit more tamed than other ones I have tried but it still did it job. The ube one was the one I mainly wanted to try and it did not disappoint. The cream was the perfect consistency and gave it the coffee a nice ube flavor. Very smooth and flavorful, I definitely would come back to try the other flavors. read more

This time I tried their cherry blossom and black sesame cream lattes and they were both so delicious. 25% sweetness was perfect and their flavors were prominent. The coffee is lightly sweetened & flavored as well so it's not only coming from the cream top. The garlic cream bun has great seasoning and toppings but the brioche bun itself was a bit dry. Tammy the owner is friendly and welcoming. Glad to see that they have their own space with more seating. Great place for Vietnamese phin drip coffee! read more
