Rob's Auto body really came to the rescue! Body shops are normally busy in this season due to winter visitors. But he answered our questions and concerns with only patience and reassurances. He suggested a tow company and they came right away and billed the body shop. Rob gave us a realistic time line and told us what to expect with the insurance company. It was a front-end hit, so there was a bit of back and forth with the insurance company and the body shop; but Rob handled all of that for us! I am a recent widow and the accident with my car was daunting. When a friend and I went to Rob's for a repair estimate, Rob was in the back working and Dusty was working at the desk. Dusty was welcoming, courteous, and very helpful. He explained the damage to me and also pointed out indications of possible further unseen damage. He was thorough, reassuring, and respectful. Oh My! Where do I start? This Body Shop is a 5 STAR business! I went through a bank drive thru that I was unfamiliar with and scraped and dented the entire side of my driver's side Dodge Ram Laramie. I asked my regular repairman, Mesa Auto Works, for a referral. They suggested Mike's Collision. Mike's Collision is owned by a husband & wife team, Mike & Nora. One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I brought my truck in for an estimate. Mike & Nora gave me a friendly greeting when I arrived. Mike thoroughly explained to me everything that needed to be repaired. Nora emailed me the estimate within 24hrs. Nora even extended the offer to drive me to my rental car company. A very nice gesture. During the repair Mike found additional damage to my vehicle. They contacted my insurance company and communicated with them about the supplemental repairs. Both Mike & Nora kept me in the loop of what was going on with my vehicle. When I picked up my truck I was completely amazed. It looked like a brand new truck fresh off the lot! I have had the unfortunate experience of being in an accident. Initially I took my vehicle to another body shop. They kept my car just over two weeks and never touched the car. So I had to relocate the car to another body shop. I found Rob's. Spoke with Whitney. She seemed quite nice on the phone and said she would need to speak with Rob the Owner, to see if he wants to take the job on. So I sent pictures of the wrecked vehicle and some links to parts that were on the car. After a couple of hours, passed, Rob then told Whitney to tell me to bring the car over and he would take it on. So we had my insurance company tow the vehicle to them. Wow, was that a huge mistake. After a day or two, I get a call from Rob, the Owner, clearly by the tone of his voice, he don't want to work on this car. He apparently does not have the skill level that he displays on his website. He was worried about this and that during the call. It sounded to me, like he needed to speak to my insurance adjuster about his concerns, not me. So the next day, I am then told that they don't want to work on the car. In essence it was towed there for nothing and sat for a two or three day period, because it sat there over the weekend. They didn't happen to let me know until a Friday they didn't want to work on it. So then we have to scramble to find a 3rd body shop now. Pretty tough thing to do on a Friday afternoon by the way. This is surreal. This industry has severe problems. Now here is the real kicker folks: Rob the Owner of this company told me on the phone this: " I don't think I can meet your expectations, so I don't want the job." Have you ever in your life heard a business say they can't meet your expectations? I never even provided Rob, with any of my expectations, so how can he even say that? They clearly are not confident in their abilities. Folks, if I were you I would think more than twice, about taking your vehicle here for any kind of work. With their confidence as low as it is, I am not sure now I would even allow them to buff my vehicle, let alone fix any structural damages. Not to mention not even caring about the inconvenience they were putting me through. UPDATE and REPLY: The car was in fact totaled that is the truth. And if you would have just put forth the effort the other shop did in fact do, you would have found the vehicle was going to be a total loss as well. But see Rob, that is the problem, you didn't put forth the effort. My insurance would have paid you for your time and storage fees, as they did the other shop, who did in fact put forth the effort. It is called communications. My Insurance Carrier paid me quite a bit more for the car than what I paid for it, so I am sure you would have been paid accordingly. And yes, Whitney was well aware of how the accident occurred, I spent over 45 minutes or longer, on the phone with Whitney going over everything with her, how it occurred with the WOT situation and the like. If she failed to communicate that to you, Rob, that is not my fault as a customer. Nor did I ever express to anyone, after accident condition, I was expecting a SHOW CAR! But yes, I did expect 4 wheels to match! And if you would have looked closer you would have seen the rear wheels were damaged as well. It was not Barrett Jackson material when I bought it. Yes it was clean and straight. I said I would be taking the vehicle to LOCAL car shows for enthusiasts such as myself. You are twisting everything to fit your narrative. Not a good look. I find it IRONIC to say the least you reached out to the other shop, after I towed away from you to find out what happened? And let's not forget you and I's one and only phone call Rob. You were talking to me about all these billable hours, you were going to have to charge me for, because my Carrier would not pay for you to get the car up to my specifications, which I never gave to anyone. I began thinking, what am I paying insurance for??? This man made it sound like they won't pay for anything! You opened a hood and seen a Supercharger and thought CHA-CHING!! Gold mine! Just because a car has a Supercharger on it, does not mean the car is any different than how a Manufacturer/Ford built it . It is the same as any other Mustang GT, just more powerful. 16 Year old car or not, you should be able to fix it. You mention that alot in your rebuttal. There are 50 year old cars running around that are in great shape too!! You gonna turn them away as well? And as far as all of my other reviews.......THEY ARE ALL TRUE, just as this one is. And if you take a hard look at my reviews, you will also see I leave plenty of good ones. Plenty when they are due one. And this review Rob, should be expected. I've used Mikes Collision for several years after the referral from my neighbor who races and operates a Viper shop recommended Mikes. They do all his body work for him. Since that referral, I've had them work on 2 of our vehicles and also my brothers car. Just recently they worked on my truck after a rear ending hit and run accident. Mikes did a thorough inspection after the insurance review since there are areas that the agent couldn't see. They were in contact with the insurance carrier often with additional items for claim and repair, updated me often on progress, hold ups, etc so I was in the loop always. I didn't get any work done by Rob's but I called just 2 hours prior to closing asking about a estimate due to some recent damage and he fit me in same day and was very friendly and honest. He laid out my options for me. He is someone you can trust and won't give you the run around, something I always worry about as a young female with cars.
