The car was ready a day earlier than expected (Rapid they are) and saved me a day's rental. Nate is professional, courteous and explained everything in detail. Price was very fair. Many years ago my wife was involved in an accident. And our insurance company recommended Rapid Collision. Through the years my car has been there once and my wife's car has been worked on there four or five times. We have never had an issue with their work or estimates. We have had dents repaired and our cars painted. Bumpers repaired and replaced. They have even replaced our window regulators at our expense. And the price was reasonable. And the regulators were installed the same day the parts arrived. Through the years we have spoken mostly to Jeff and Nate. Both have been nothing but professional and efficient. I needed some damage repaired on my vehicle and I took it to Rapid for a quote. I spoke with Jeff and he was very informative and up front about the costs and the time frame. I ended up using Rapid for the body work on the car. They did an amazing job! I had some issues with the insurance and they told me I would have to pay out of pocket for the additional days for a rental car due to the insurance dragging their feet on the review/ payment. I spoke with Jeff several times thru out the process of the vehicle being repaired as well as the issues with the insurance and he (the shop) offered to help pay for the rental car if the insurance took longer than expected. I was in an accident in Jan. It's been a jumbled mess dealing with insurance and this shop. Basically my car was considered "totaled"because my seatbelt is backordered for a year. The car is fixed it's missing the seatbelt. At that point, The car should have been towed away to salvage, or taken with me but through some sort of miscommunication between the shop, me, and insurance the car never got taken to salvage or home with me as it should have. Because it was not taken away. The shop decided to start charging me storage fees without any notification to myself or my mother. One week ago the storage fee for the shop was $2400. The very next week it's $4900 for this car to be stored there from June. $168 a day? So my naive mom has this genius plan to give them my title and car to the person who owns this shop for the "inconvenience" of having my car stored there because the storage fees are so high.. absolutely not. Here's the kicker. This ENTIRE thing could have been resolved the first month of my car sitting there if ONE PERSON FROM THIS SHOP CALLED HONDA HEADQUARTERS OR TO HONDA NATIONAL TO CHECK ON MY SEATBELT. Here's the number for national 866-864-5211. Here's corporate (310) 783-2000. A simple google search got me those numbers. But no one did that not the 1st month, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... did we get into a 6th month without you calling corporate? I think we did. In between my complications and nearly dying from a surgery from the car accident(hence the car getting fixed) I somehow managed to do your job for you and call in JuneTo check the seatbelt, it took ONE HOUR OF MY DAY. Not one ounce of this was supposed to be my job. Yes. It's sucks that my car sat there for months, it also sucks that no one took the initiative to call on the belt. If I had known that no one from this shop had actually called headquarters, or any other number besides whatever one shop in Tempe you kept calling while getting no results. I would have months earlier. That's just common sense when a part has been backordered for so long..no? Yet not one person could manage to get that done. You were never crunched for space any of the times I stopped by. So it's weird that the fees jumped so high. I overheard a part of this conversation (about my car title) that you were saying you wanted to give the car to one of your mechanics daughters. Is that what kind of shop this is? You try to keep peoples vehicles that have been in accidents to give away because they aren't going to pay your storage fees? Is that why the fees went up so high? The correlation is there for me. How about you? The math isn't mathing for me, but perhaps you could explain it to me? I just want to reiterate one more time that this could have been resolved the first month or two on your part as the mechanic and shop owner WITH ONE PHONE CALL to either corporate or national, you called the same place in Tempe checking on the seatbelt. I was the first person to call and check into Honda. They confirmed that. What should have happened is the shop owner should have seen his lazy mistake, lack of follow up, and due diligence in all of this, acknowledged it and given me my car back for free. This has been drawn out for 7 months now.. They're trying to charge me for a storage issue that they quite literally created themselves. Nothing has come out of your pocket. Instead you're trying to charge me 5k so you can keep the car. I had no control of this entire situation from beginning to end. I shouldn't be charged anything. I noticed that you like to reply back to reviews. What can you possibly say to explain your lack of initiative, common sense and now greed. What's the reason that no one called headquarters/national from Jan-June? Why should I pay a storage fee for your mistakes as well. I'm the only one held accountable when your mistake made me not have a car for the past 6 Months.. I'd love to you try to come up with a decent reason or response to why any of this has happened. read more

Our vehicle was involved in a parking lot accident in late December. We had very good service at Rapid Collision Center in regard to the needed repairs which involved total bumper repair, a new taillight, and taking care of a few dents, etc. Their work totally transformed our older Toyota Highlander into a very attractive vehicle. All of the people we worked with throughout the process were courteous and professional. They explained what would happen and so forth. Think twice before trusting your car to Rapid Collsion Center 9816 E. Main St., Mesa, Az. I took my Mazda Miata for an estimate to repair a minor fender scrape. Nate Dafoe, their estimator said they could sand out the scratches, fill them, and repaint for $200 to $250. He said it may show a little where they blend in the new paint. I agreed to the work and left my car the next day. Two days later when I went to pick up the car, all they had done was spray paint over the damage. No sanding or filling. Nate said their body man decided he could not blend in the paint so the just shot a quick coat right over scrapes. Nate said they would not charge for the repair, but I owed them $50 for a two ounce bottle of touch-up paint. Nate said he felt bad about it. Well, nothing like what I felt. I had some damage to the rear left side of my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that removed paint from it's bumper. Estimate was reasonable so I went ahead and scheduled a time to get this taken care of. A couple of days after I dropped off my vehicle, when I picked it up it was repaired perfectly and restored to its original beauty. They even completely detailed my vehicle so it was cleaner, inside & out, than when I purchased it from the dealership. Bottom Line - Rapid Collision Center 1.) Performed work to vehicle without prior approval 2.) Lied about receiving approval from my insurance company for the additional work 3.) Failed to communicate needed information to me in a timely manner 4.) Failed to communicate with adjuster about additional repairs in a timely manner 5.) Poor work done I brought my vehicle to Rapid Collision Center for repairs from a front-end collision. They properly had an adjuster from my insurance company come out and approve certain repairs to my vehicle. While they were preforming the work, they discovered additional repairs would be needed and decided to preform the additional repairs WITHOUT having prior approval from the adjuster. I hadn't heard from them by the date they originally told me my vehicle would be ready, so I called to find out how things were going. This is when they told me that they needed to complete more work and would need additional time. A few more days pass with no communication from them. I again call them to find out what is taking so long and I am informed that my vehicle has been completely repaired, but they are waiting for the additional work that they had already done to be approved by the insurance company. I called my adjuster at this point to see how long it would take to get approval. My adjuster informed me that he hadn't even heard from Rapid Collision Center about any additional needed repairs!! I called Rapid Collision Center back immediately and they said that they were about to contact him. A few more days pass and I call again to find out if the repairs have been approved yet, at which point Nate tells me that yes, the insurance company has approved the repairs. He suggested that I come in and pay for the additional repairs and have my insurance company pay me back instead of them since the repairs had been approved. This was a LIE! My insurance company had only approved part of the additional cost, not the total. I called as soon as I found this out, and they apologized and told me that they would be glad to refund me the difference if my insurance company didn't reimburse me after they submit it to them again. Well, they submitted it again and again, and they were denied again and again. I sent a letter requesting the promised refund - no response. It doesn't rain very often in Arizona, but when the next large rain storm came through water leaked in and completely soaked the passenger side of the vehicle. At this point there was no way I would go back to Rapid Collision Center to address their poor workmanship. I found a different repair shop down the street and explained my dilemma to them. The man took a look at my vehicle, told me what he thought the problem was, and fixed it for me. He charged me for parts only! Please, please, please, do not use Rapid Collision Center! When I was speaking to my adjuster he even told me that this company was one of the worst he has ever had to deal with! read more

Took my car in to have hail damage repair on my roof and hood of 2013 Ford Edge. Pick the car up after repairs completed. Next day tried to use sun roof and it would not open all the way or shut completely. Took the car back in and Jeff the repairman said they never opened the sunroof before or during the repair so it wasn't their fault. Unbelievable as they pulled all the hail dents from the top surrounding the sunroof and now all of a sudden it doesn't work. They basically took no responsibility. I do not recommend this place as they just basically blew me off. read more

I was referred to Rapid Collision Center by a friend, and although it is quite the trek from my house, I am absolutely thrilled I went. From the second my car was dropped off, Jeff was very accommodating and was also very honest, something you don't always see from an auto shop. I immediately felt at ease. He helped get me into a rental car at a very competitive price and kept me up to date with the repairs and insurance interaction. Through the claims process my insurance company was very difficult, Jeff made sure to keep in contact with them and move the process along quickly and efficiently. Even with a minor hiccup in a replacement part, Jeff delivered within the time frame quoted, and I swear that car has never looked better. I am extremely happy with both the service I received and the completed repairs on my car! Well here is what happened to my truck at Rapid Collison Center in Mesa, AZ. Got the truck back on a Friday after 3-weeks for a minor rear fender repair. The Fuel injector was clooged and i had to baby it to the dealership. The Gas Fuel line was not properly attached to the body, i found it out when i went to get gas. Getting ready to wash the truck and the molding screws were not even installed on the rear right fender. The Body work on the Tail Gate was only painted and the dings were left alone. Now a couple days latter i was getting ready to go when i decided to check the Camper shell Clamps to see if they had tied them down correctly, Boy glad i did cuase the entire cap with six clamps were loose. I would not recomend these guys for repairs. My troubles could have been worse after words. No follow up calls and unsupervised workmanship. the truck should of been in perfect shape ready to go and double check. I hope i don't find anything else. I would not use this shop for all these reasons. read more
