I have an older Lexus which has been an exceptional automobile for years. I had an issue with the radio which was not the first, I might add. Had it fixed a while back by someone else only to have the same problem pop up again. I took it to Mike and he knew exactly why it was not fixed correctly the first time. He took care of the problem and it has been great ever since. That was two years ago. Another issue came up recently which took out my in dash screen. In this particular Lexus, it operates everything. The radio, the heater controls, the GPS and more. He took the challenge and did not get the car back to me until he had it licked. I gave him as much time as he needed as electrical issues are sometimes worse that a major overhaul of the engine. The fixed the problem and I am more than pleased. Gotta luv Don..he's a very knowledgeable weasel. He will get the job done (and ya car will sound good, eventually) but just expect the following: 1) a history lesson on how he and the owner of JL audio used to play golf together 2) your pockets to be emptied (and God help you on his labor costs if you buy your own equipment elsewhere), 3) your car to be scheduled out 2-3 weeks later, 4) your car to then be gone for another 2+ weeks once the work begins (due to his employee turnover and constant desire to take on more appointments despite ever-changing technicians). 5) Possible dings to your car as it sits outside cramped with 20+ other cars 6) an "unforeseen" price increase when your car is ready (especially if you left a large deposit). He doesn't like to see anything less than a $1k balance owed after the job is over (even if its a $7k job). 7) Extreme gaslighting if and when something goes wrong (it will always be your fault) and an expensive fix will be suggested/recommended. And for sure believe that aloootttt of people have bad experiences here but the pansies that live in arizona will almost never leave a bad review for mom/pop shops like this. They wont even tell you that a problem occured, especially if it was eventually rectified (even if it was rectified 8+ months later). Avoid this place unless you got small shit to do like a headunit or carplay install or some shit read more

I bought a 1993 Jaguar XJS with a stereo, alarm and powered door locks that were not working. I had a particular head unit that I needed that Don did not have, but he had no issue with me buying it and bringing it in. I also asked that he install the backup sensors in the back bumper that came with the unit. Long story short, the job turned out to be way more complex than he could have known. There were wiring issues with the car. The alarm system was shot, the door lock actuator was broken. Only a real expert can solve these types of problems. Instead of up charging me, Don just asked for more time which I was happy to give. The car turned out great. The stereo sounds amazing. The door locks and backup sensors work as expected. These guys are technical masters that have a real passion for this work. Don treated my car the same as the Ferraris in the shop. I'd recommend these guys all day long. Don and his team are absolutely the most meticulous, diligent car audio / camera / screen shop you can find. Over the years in my off-road rig (4runner) they helped me fix some problems with my after market pioneer stereo, installed a video rear view mirror, a front and rear view cameras, remote start, repaired my stock JBL speakers, and most importantly identified and repaired a parasitic current draw that was draining my batteries, something no car mechanic or dealer would take on. The root cause was ridiculously difficult to identify. You know they have a good rep, by looking at all the luxury super cars stopping by their shop. Took in my 1991 MR2 to have an overhaul of the audio equipment and modernize it while also keeping a clean aesthetic. Talked to Don, who reviews all my options, and talked me through the whole process. After working with the quote and making it work, we scheduled an appointment, as they are very busy. Once the install was done, everything worked and sounded amazing. Absolutely incredible job. A few days after install I had some work done and had issues with some of the audio, but took it back the same day and they fit me in and fixed it up in 5 minutes. Awesome guys. My heads up display in my Corvette had gone out. I took it to inMobile where a quick Google search indicated the job was around 3 hours and I left the car for the work. As they got into the project in detail the short job required cutting apart hoses and vents and taping them back together. He honored his original commitment even though it took nearly three times the work. A lot of aftermarket product developers and installers are loud cocky bunch and I have no problem with it but then you meet someone like Don who does an amazing job, works on cars worth more than I can make in a year and still takes the time to talk to you and treats you like his only customer - now that is something else. Don installed a back up camera after my original one was blocked out by the swing out tire carrier and he did such a good job of it it almost looked like it was a factory install ! ****UPDATE!!!! (Sept 2014) I was unable to go back to Scottsdale for the repair, as it did not fit into my tight schedule. Another Yelper messaged me to tell me to "dispute" the charge on my credit card so I did. Don contacted me and, as consistent as he had been, he was pleasant and respectful and eager to resolve the issue even though me and my car were now in the Bay Area. And to his credit, he did everything right...he never got angry, he arranged with Marin Lexus to remove the navigation system again, he arranged for a reputable repairman to travel from Sacramento to Marin to do the repair and he followed-up with me. I understand that things can go wrong in every business. I also very much appreciate when a business owner handles those problems fairly and kindly. FIVE STARS EARNED - WIN :))))) PREVIOUS REVIEW posted July 2014... I may update this after tomorrow when I go back there to have them repair the damage they did to my dashboard....but they will certainly need to earn it! Here's the story... Yesterday (July 2014) I called to have them repair the navigation system in my Lexus is350. Don, the owner was courteous and was able to get me in the same day I called. This place is 30 minutes away from me (and I'm visiting from out of state) so I drove right over and made special arrangements to get a ride since they needed to keep my car for several hours. When I picked up my car, they charged me $525 for labor...ok....but then $26.25 for MISC....I have no idea what that was for, plus tax too! I didn't say anything about the extra charge but when I got in my car I was rather annoyed by them not understanding that you return a car the way you found it. Had to reset the clock, change my radio station from BLARING RAP back to country, turn off the a/c seat they had on high (I don't use it), and hunt for my phone charger they took out. Any one or two of those things is no big deal but I believe in a service industry you leave other people's property at least how you found it! But here is the REAL issue....they damaged my dashboard with a huge gash and never said a word! I'll post a picture. I called them and then turned right around and returned to the store. Don was very pleasant and said this happens all the time....SO BE AWARE. He made arrangements for me to come back on Friday to have it repaired. But he made no other concessions. Now I'm having to take another day out of my five day trip here in Phoenix and pay the gas to drive 30 minutes out of my way and back again in order for them to fix the damage they did to my car!!!! I purchased an after-market Apple CarPlay interface on AliExpress for my 2014 Porsche Cayenne. After watching a few YouTube videos on installing it, I thought it best to have the professionals handle it since it involved opening up the pcm and adding pc-boards to the unit. Don was familiar with similar products and said they could handle it without any problems. I dropped the car off, picked it up the next day after paying a very reasonable amount to have the complicated device integrated into the Porsche system.
