    Kids Menu

Saw it had been several years since a menu had been posted so wanted to share the kids/breakfast/lunch menus! We love Robins patio - it is nice and secluded!

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. We had a party of five and tried quite a multitude of things. Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful setting (we were there in November and I imagine it's amazing in the summer) with outdoor seating There is also a path to walk down to the river, which was really nice after stuffing our faces! You can't go wrong with eating here. If you live in Salida, staying in Salida or driving through, stop in.

Nice brunch joint. I had the Corned Beef Hash and I loved the. Corned beef part but the diced potatoes weren't my favorite. Next time I want to try the Fish n Chips. My wife had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and thought it was good. It was nice to sit outside on the patio on such a beautiful Fall day in Salida.

Don't let the unassuming outside fool you, great food and amazing customer service is waiting for you inside! I absoutely loved the collage style decor. The menu is pretty big with lots of great options. We got some tasty things! The bacon and biscuits and gravy were really stand outs. I would def bring family here, plenty of seating and space!

Ordered two,two and two,but only received one pancake and it was unevenly cooked on both sides. Eggs were average, but bacon was better and fresh jam was also a hit. Skip the eggs here. Nice river out back too.

Typically I'm not a fan of counter service restaurants because I like to look over the whole menu before ordering, especially if there's a line of people behind me I'll just take a seat and order when I'm ready. That's not on Robins though, just my personal preference. We luckily went at a slower time where it wasn't busy and could take a moment or two to look. They had a huge menu full of breakfast and lunch items and I was pretty impressed. You order, grab a number and you can sit inside or outdoors on their nice patio overlooking the river nearby. Ordered breakfast and the food was hot, fresh and well seasoned. Everybody was extremely friendly working there especially the lady that took our order at the counter. I can see this place being super busy and crowded on the weekends. Also if you are staying in downtown Salida you will either need to drive or take a Uber/Lyft over there as it is not walking distance from the things to do downtown. I also loved the "wash your hands" sign that was in the bathroom, it was a funny touch. Very well kept and nice restaurant to visit, will definitely go back to try more of the menu next time in town!

Robins sits off State Rd. 50 in Salida. It's not near the Main Street area and is tucked away in a space that seems odd for a restaurant. With that being said, I left full and content. And isn't that all we really want? For the type of food that is served you'd expect table service as opposed to ordering at the counter. Welp, it's their house so they make the rules. Get in line, order your food and staffers will bring it to your table. Service was prompt and the line moved quickly on a fairly busy Saturday morning. One thing that was a sticker shock was the $5 coffee. Yes, it's bottomless. But c'mon now, are we really getting craft coffee from this place? Absolutely not. Other than that I found the prices to be appropriate considering the massive portions and the times we're currently living in. I'm a creature of habit. Even though some specialty dishes sounded intriguing my eyes locked with the corned beef hash. This plate of food was F-I-L-L-I-N-G. I felt like a lumberjack after making my way through this plate. Potatoes were cooked right and the eggs and toast were to my liking. I think I enjoyed my food more than my wife enjoyed hers, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Though we didn't sit outside because it was pretty chilly, the patio is great. I'd imagine it's popping during the summer along the creek. Overall a solid place for breakfast where you won't leave hungry.

Excellent food and lovely ambiance on the patio next to the river. Cannot recommend stopping in enough to try the place. Really cute.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.

Pulled into the parking lot and electric vehicle chargers were like towers of hope for the power-deprived traveler. The menu looked limited. Was there for lunch. Breakfast menu looks extensive and good. Ordered a burger and turkey club and iced tea. Overall it's great. There were so many people with dogs or multiple dogs that sitting peacefully in the exterior seating area wasn't that peaceful as bickering alpha dogs tried to act dominant by whelping and arguing with each other. Wasn't a fan of the barking and screeching and loudness that lasted the entirety of the meal while observing the dog owners either oblivious to the mayhem or ignoring it while swiping on their janky iPhones. I won't dock points in this review due to the dog drama. It is what it is. Salida is a wicked dog-friendly town. I will return for breakfast. You should also. You'll be glad you did.

The breakfast menu has many items to choose from. Food was good. Typical fare for breakfast with some twists. Husband had 2 egg breakfast- all good. I had biscuits and sausage gravy and eggs but the sausage was green chile and the biscuits were cheddar-garlic. I didn't love this twist, honestly- cheddar biscuits yes but the garlic was not great for a breakfast dish. (I think my mind registered the biscuits as cheddar-chile when I read the menu- those would have been better with sausage gravy.). I will have the pancakes or French toast next time! The menu has a ton of options--it can feel a little overwhelming at first--but honestly, you can't go wrong. We've tried quite a few, and every single one has been great in its own way. Pro tip: during the summer, the line can wrap around the block. If you don't want to wait 30-40 minutes, ordering online is definitely the move. Also, don't skip their bars--they're absolutely amazing. Perfect to grab for later if you're heading out on a hike, or just enjoy it right there. Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich and taking it down to the river--that's honestly the best part of the whole experience.

Combine that everybody-knows-your-name feel of your local dive-bar, with the earnestly eclectic comfort of your favorite independent coffee house, then hide that under a wooden carport, and you will have the vaguest impression of the dining room. An order window faces into the humbly hip dining room, and a bright white sign, looking for all the world  like an oversized tri-fold pamphlet displays the menu.  I know exactly what I want from the pictures on Yelp, but I have trouble finding it.
