Super cute patio was the only thing that was nice about this place. Tables were dirty and took 10 mins to have someone come and clean the dishes off in order for us to sit down. You must go inside to the front counter to order with an automatic tip before you can see how the service is. The food was cold when brought out to us. The waitress forget to come by to ask you how you are and how your food is or to bring you what you asked for as in extra plates or silverware. Never ever coming back here and highly would not recommend this place. For an out of towner it put a sour taste in our mouth. read more

I have ordered $60-100 of food to go here most Sundays since they opened. I always tip well. This morning I was missing part of my order, so I called and asked for a credit because I didn't want to drive back there for one item. They said no! They said they were not going to offer me any kind of credit and I could only come and get the item. I asked to speak to the owner. The manager said the restaurant was very busy and they would call me back. The restaurant was not busy at all when I picked up my food. I asked if she could direct me to a voicemail to leave the owner a message. She hung up on me!! I called back to ask for my tip to he removed from my credit card slip. She hung up! I drove back there to have my tip removed and hopefully let the owner know of this employee's behavior. I walked in and they were not busy. The owner started yelling at me in front of all of her customers! I couldn't believe the level of terrible customer service... I told her to remove the tip from my slip. She did, and I left. I will NEVER order anything here again. I have also seen the employee who hung up on me not wearing a mask multiple times in front of the owner. read more

I ordered a GF corned beef hash and eggs and was served GLUTEN bread and a gluten heart shaped biscuit heart on top. I only have a severe reaction if I actually eat gluten so I removed the biscuit and ate the bread. I had a severe migraine and was sick for 8+ hours. I called to verify that the bread was in fact gluten and they told me they served canyon bake house GF bread which is square shaped and I've had before. I did not in fact get that bread and verified that I was gluten they served me. The manager actually told me to go "roll around in mud," that they didn't give me gluten because he didn't see it happen and that I was wrong. I would never eat here again. read more

We visited Sunday morning, September 13th about 9am. First the good - food was good (recommend the Salida omelette) & the creek side dining on the patio was pleasant. Now the not so good - wait to Oder was 25 minutes. Then we waited 40 minutes for the meal. They were likely short of staff. In spite of assertions otherwise, there was absolutely no social distancing in the order line. Customers were shoulder to shoulder. The waitresses wore some kind of alleged face shield attached to their chin that barely reached the nose on one waitress & was completely useless on another. I HATE leaving a 1 star review. I believe I've only done it one other time. But I do not see how I could possibly give this place anything but, given my experience there today. We arrive around 9:45 and the parking lot was packed. There was literally no where to park. Good sign right? So we said let's go run an errand and come back. We do our thing and come back about an hour later. The parking lot had thinned out some. The restaurant itself is in a stand alone building. It doesn't look like a restaurant at all. But not in a bad way. It looks very nice. Anyway we walk up and it's lined out the door. Ok still a good sign. They have a walk up counter to order, pay, AND TIP. We wait inline for about 15-20 minutes and we're next in line to order. The order taker/cashier/hostess comes out and says we're sorry there will be at least a 10 minute wait. We just sat a big table and the kitchen said to stop taking orders! UGH! So we reluctantly wait because we figure we've waited this long, what's 10 more minutes? She comes back out and starts taking orders again about 15 minutes later. My wife order the salmon Benny, I ordered a meat lovers omelet, and our 2 small kids split the old fashion breakfast. Total came out to $54ish and here's that bad idea of tipping before meal/ service we tip 20% and it came out to $65ish. So we are then sat by the order taker/cashier/hostess. It's took about another 20-25 minutes to come out. By this point I'm thinking this better be a pretty epic breakfast. Food arrives and for the price I was expecting a bigger portion. Still not a huge deal. The wifey takes a bite, COLD salmon Benny!! I take a bit of my Meat lovers omelet, COLD! We were starving by this point. We stuffed our frustrated faces and bolted. Moral of the story. I think this place is better than this. I am assuming they were short staffed or just had a very off day. With that said it was a terrible dining experience and at that price I felt I needed to share. read more

Great place for breakfast! Stopped there on our way through and loved the open and inviting atmosphere. You walk in and order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Made things quick and easy. I had the Corned Beef Benny; highly recommend! The service was horrible, no exaggeration. We stood in line for 40 minutes at the counter, yet there were only four parties in front of us. One person at a breakfast place Saturday morning?!? The counter person also seats guests, clears tables, and would simply disappear from the counter for several minutes. Finally, it's our turn to order, and the hostess/busier/counter person was very nice; however, be aware that there is an up charge for maple syrup to go w/ your pancakes, etc. For maple syrup?? Wow - this place is great! Tasty and cooked perfectly (I had the eggs Benedict.) We were passing through on a road trip and did take out. Robin catered our casual camping trip wedding this spring and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience! The food was delicious and very plentiful! Everyone was really enjoyed the BBQ, brownies and vegetarian plates. Robin and her husband were super easy to work work, very friendly and loving! We really enjoyed having them there. Set up was quick, easy and the food was hot despite the remote location. Due to Covid, our original wedding had to be rescheduled but Robin was able to pick back up seamlessly when we did reschedule. They went above and beyond for us and for that we are really grateful! We went to the restaurant the next day and it was adorable! Great concept and really good benedicts and juices. Terrible experience. 5 tables came after we did. 3 of them received their food and were finished eating. My husband went to the front to check and was told we would be next. 2 more tables received their food who were after us. I went up front to ask what was going on and to ask if we were skipped (we had been here for 40+ minutes) and was met with a red haired server who explained to me that it takes 7 minutes to make poached eggs and that's why it was taking so long. I said it had been 40+ minutes, and I saw poached eggs come out since we ordered. My husband's Reuben and my daughter's chicken tenders and fries came out immediately. Took another 7 minutes for my Benedict. Another server brought us boxes and comped our check without asking (much appreciated). If you forget about a family of people, just own up to it. It's amazing what a simple "I'm sorry" can do to avoid a very poor experience for a customer. Don't make it our problem that we waited patiently for an hour before we received our full meal, after at least 5 other tables ordered, because we ordered standard items off your menu. Don't blame your kitchen, either, when they're able to turn out other orders quickly. And this is coming from a husband & wife duo with combined 35+ years of food and beverage service. read more

The seating options are endless which, is a rare commodity at weekend breakfast time in Salida. We prefer the outdoor patio with the view of the South Arkansas! The ordering process is easy--stand in line and order and they bring the food out to you. This means things move quickly! Don't be fooled tho, the food is mindfully prepared and tastes amazing. No more simply settling for a scorched waffle and dried eggs...and the service is excellent!! Robins is absolutely amazing! My husband and I were traveling to Salida for the first time from Nashville, Tennessee, and we saw that this place was newer as a restaurant on Yelp. We decided to scope it out and see what it looked like before making a decision, and I am so glad we did. It was quiet and so beautiful! We ordered at the counter and then sat on the outside patio, where there is a stream rolling by the tables. The food was great, and the service was as well!
