The mojo at Mojo's Eatery is strong. Cruising into Salida and did a quick search for some eats and the nearest establishment appeared Mojo's Eatery. Pulled into the parking lot and electric vehicle chargers were like towers of hope for the power-deprived traveler. The menu looked limited. Was there for lunch. Breakfast menu looks extensive and good. Ordered a burger and turkey club and iced tea. Overall it's great. There were so many people with dogs or multiple dogs that sitting peacefully in the exterior seating area wasn't that peaceful as bickering alpha dogs tried to act dominant by whelping and arguing with each other. Wasn't a fan of the barking and screeching and loudness that lasted the entirety of the meal while observing the dog owners either oblivious to the mayhem or ignoring it while swiping on their janky iPhones. I won't dock points in this review due to the dog drama. It is what it is. Salida is a wicked dog-friendly town. I will return for breakfast. You should also. You'll be glad you did. read more

We went in September after a medical appointment and were very pleased with the food. The menu has expected and original items. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. My husband had the Short Rib Melt and said it was wonderful. I had the Caprese Sandwich and it was also very tasty. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to visit the restroom and read the walls - you'll leave with a smile! We will be back the next time we're in town. Went back this morning for breakfast. The breakfast menu has many items to choose from. Food was good. Typical fare for breakfast with some twists. Husband had 2 egg breakfast- all good. I had biscuits and sausage gravy and eggs but the sausage was green chile and the biscuits were cheddar-garlic. I didn't love this twist, honestly- cheddar biscuits yes but the garlic was not great for a breakfast dish. (I think my mind registered the biscuits as cheddar-chile when I read the menu- those would have been better with sausage gravy.). I will have the pancakes or French toast next time! The food is delicious! We've stopped here multiple times, and loved it every time. I love the classic breakfast burrito with avocado, my husband had the veggie burrito, and my daughter always gets their French toast. The service is friendly. Seating is very limited but the patio is nice on sunny, warm days. read more

WHATEVER YOU DO, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DINNER AT MOJO'S. Andy and Misty have hit another home run with their evening offerings. Simply superb meals. Of course, the side salads were massive, absolutely fresh and held a variety of healthy veggies. The chicken oyster appetizer was a new taste experience. Shareable, it had a wonderful crispy crunchy coating with a thoughtfully executed sweet heat chili sauce. Our main course choices were the two pasta dishes offered tonight. Both on pappardelle pasta, one was the short rib ragu; the tomato based sauce was deep, rich and appropriate to balance the short rib. The alternative was the shrimp in a complex, light yet creamy, bechamel sauce. Both were delicious, made with skill and beautiful in lovely bowls. Touches of micro greens added to both the visual and taste appeal. Of course, the delight and excitement shared by Misty as she helped us choose our meal made the whole experience even better! LOVE this place! The food is incredible... lots of great choices depending on when we're able to stop in. You can tell the owners/cooks really care about their food and how they prepare it. We always plan our breakfast or lunch stop here as we're passing through. Biscuits and gravy are my favorite for breakfast... and we always grab one or 2 of their delicous cinnamon rolls (some of the best we've ever had!). For lunch we get the turkey club, the pork belly BLT, or one of the chicken sandwiches. Every thing is seasoned perfectly and you can taste all of the good ingredients. Great people.. great service. Found Mojo's on Yelp before our Sunday ride to Salida. Truth be told, we used to love stopping at Wallbangers, which is now closed. Though we miss them, all of us really enjoyed our lunch today! Hmm...hours here are updated but on your website they are not. I called to see if you were in fact open for dinner and inquire about your menu. Rudeness prevailed...I was told extremely abruptly "The hours are updated on Google and we are open". Then she hung up...never giving me a chance to even ask about the dinner menu. Some of the best breakfast I have ever had. Had the half veggie burrito and banana pancakes. Burrito was stuffed and everything was so flavorful and fresh and their house made hot sauce was delicious! Pancakes were fluffy and full of bananas and so delicious. Vibe as so cute inside as well. Warm and friendly service greeted us upon entering, and thanked us as we left. The portion sizes are fairly generous. I ordered the classic French toast and my partner ordered the breakfast combo. Mojo's is the best breakfast in Salida. Salida is a very small town with minimal food options. However, if you're looking for a breakfast spot, Salida has a few. Mojo's reigns supreme. Owned and run by an actual chef, the kitchen puts out some amazing food. I've had most of the menu, but some of my absolute favorites are their "Destroyer burrito" and "breakfast fried rice with pork belly." I'm surprised by the one-star review left by someone, but when I saw the Boulder, CO, it made sense. Definitely make it a point to eat here if you're ever in Salida. You won't regret it. read more

Enjoyed lunch on the patio of Mojo's Eatery today, pleasantly surprised for a first visit. We ordered the Blueberry and Ham Grilled Sandwich and very much enjoyed it! Nice thick garlic bread used then loaded with thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese. The best part - it was also oozing with a delicious blueberry compote which melded flavours perfectly. A side of crisp fries or onion rings make the meal. Nice eating area outdoors which is dog friendly. We also snagged a S'mores bar for dessert and it was good, not great. Absolutely amazing food! Great owners and staff! Wonderful atmosphere! I'm visiting from NY and have literally started planning another trip back for the sole purpose of getting the short rib sandwich again. I shared it with my fiancé, but after the first bite, realized I've never had a bigger regret than agreeing to do so. When we go back post wedding, I will file for divorce if he even asks. 10/10, absolutely top tier.
