Absolutely incredible breakfast/lunch spot! We tried the ham brioche, breakfast fried rice, avocado toast and a short stack of pancakes and all were straight up TDF ('to die for'-- for the unnecessary acronym-challenfed). Honestly, I'm not sure if I could pick a favorite dish between those, you just can't go wrong! Counter service was super friendly and prompt. We were in Salida for just a night but will definitely go out of our way to eat at Mojo's again the next time we're in the valley. 11/10 would recommend! read more

I ordered the fried rice breakfast that was supposed to have veggies and pork belly in it but it was mostly just rice, with only a couple crumbles of pork belly. I ordered it gluten-free, so I'm not sure if that was why the lack of flavor. I was not advised it would be prepared differently (without the Sauce to make it gf, as many places would sub tamari) My husband ordered an eggs Benedict with pork belly and chipotle sauce, and he said it was awesome. Today I had the best pork belly and watermelon salad. (On the menu until the end of June) Yes, prices seem a little high, but I feel that's just how it is everywhere in Salida. However, for the size of the smoothie, it was overpriced. While the flavor was good, it needed to be a little colder. I've also had the crab cakes and really enjoyed them. There was very little filler, mostly crab. I don't particularly like the bar seating when it's crowded, but there are outside tables and benches. And, I was impressed with the owner today. When I pointed out the chocolate chip cookies had gotten rock hard, she chose to not sell that batch any longer. She could have continued selling them and disappointing customers. Will definitely keep this as a lunch spot and some day try breakfast. read more

Came to Salida from Littleton for a little anniversary getaway. Visited Mojo's for brunch this morning and what a treat! Tiny place with an adorable little outdoor patio and countertop seating inside. Hubby had the Biscuits and Gravy and I had the Pork Belly Benny. OMG! So delicious!! Highly recommended this place. It was a little bit out of the main downtown strip, but worth the little drive for sure. So glad we tried it! Would be a regular brunch spot for us if we lived here for sure. We had an excellent lunch at Mojo's Eatery! I had a delicious Mojo Burger (because they can serve it on Gluten free bread) and a farm fresh side salad. The shaded patio was also delighted allowed us to sit with our dog. We would definitely stop here again if we travel through Salina on another road trip! read more

My wife and I had come to the Salida area from the Springs to spend some time while our son was at camp. We were looking for a good place to eat lunch after a hard hike and decided to try Mojos after reading their reviews online. We were NOT disappointed! The two entrees that sounded particularly intriguing were the Turkey Melt with Fries and the Blue Crab Cakes with Citrus Salad. Normally we split an entree but we couldn't decide so decided to get both. Everything was amazing!! And the portions were huge but not the prices. They were short staffed the morning we went but they hustled and the food was good. Kind of a different setup than we're used to. Pay/order at counter and then they deliver to your table. First off, I loaded "Yelp" onto my phone just to give this place a review. Not something I do. This place deserves the time and effort though. It's a small place, family owned, with good food. The guy who cooks is a professional chef, (went to school for it). Usually I'm a beef and potatoes kind a guy, but, I enjoyed eating there. Food was good! So much so that for the entire four days we were there, (my wife and I), three days of it we ate at "Mojo's". Would've been all four days but they close on Sunday and Monday. The staff, (family too), are kind and seem happy. Well, that's the good stuff..... Now for the rest. I hope they find a place bigger than the place they have now. They've done a really good job of using the space that they have and I noticed a lot of carry out orders leaving through the door. Apparently the locals know the place too. Well, other than that, the only thing that I noticed that shines any negativity on the place is the fact that it's too far from my home. It's another plane ride to get there again. But I do have to say, with all my heart, if I'm ever in the state of Colorado again, I AM going to enjoy that food, and the people there, once more. If I lived an hour or so away from Salida, I'd make time to get there, at least, once a week, maybe every couple a weeks. (though they close a bit early for me, 3:00), and their days off are Sunday and Monday. Regardless, I'd make it work. What impressed me the most was the sausage patty's. The fried pork belly and rice was tasty too. The food was served in large portions, (so much so that at times I couldn't finish all of it), and I could tell that the chef is passionate about his work. If you like to eat and you enjoy doing so around friendly people, in a quiet, quaint little place, make the trip. Now, we were there In January of this year and as I've said, I don't do reviews but, here I am a couple of months later, still thinking of the food there. We had breakfast here this morning. My second visit. I had the Breakfast Fried Rice. Pork Belly, peas, spinach, green onion, carrots, and siracha topped with two eggs scrambled. Excellent flavors and the rice was just the right crunchy. My wife had the Mojo's Scramble. She left nothing. Previous visit was for lunch. We split The Chicken Sandwich. The ciabatta bun was fresh and soft, the veggies fresh and crisp, and the cherry balsamic glaze was perfect. We had the side salad which was excellent. Next time I am going to need some onion rings!
