This has been our favorite restaurant up until the last 6 months or so. We keep coming back because it's our kids' favorite but the experiences are slowly getting less desirable every time. Last night, I found plastic in my food (will attach picture). Not exactly what you want to crunch on. I was pretty much done with the meal anyways so just trashed the rest. Went here for a happy hour when we got to Salida - what a great HH! They had BOGO draft beers (not too many options on draft - I think six - but some good local ones) and our friends got margaritas. We weren't that hungry so only got an appetizer of chips and guacamole, which tasted very fresh. Service was OK - everyone was nice but it was SLOW. Surprised how quiet it was for 5PM on a Friday? It was snowy so people probably weren't out and about. Would definitely come back for a burrito - the restaurant had a lot of seating and seems like it'd be a great hangout spot in the summer. Me and my family are lifetime locals and have supported this restaurant for years. Normally go for dinner time during the week every so often. Over the last months the staff has been horribly rude on multiple different occasions. One younger gal is consistently making me and my wife feel as if we are a burden for ordering two burritos and has a terrible attitude from start to finish. Look I get everyone has those days but without fail every time we come in and she is there we get nothing but bad looks and a terrible attitude to any of our requests. I was so happy to have found Mo Burrito during the work week as it was a great spot to grab an amazing lunch and work for a bit. The fish burrito takes a bit to make because it is fried fresh, which I appreciate. They have a make your own burrito/bowl similar to Chipotle but so much better! Ok these burritos are REALLY good. It has a qdoba/chipotle vibe where you can build your own burrito and with fresh delicious ingredients. I got a veggie burrito which was huge and the perfect thing to satisfy my hunger. Be careful of the hot salsa because it is very hot!!! Didn't stop me from devouring the burrito followed by chips and guacamole. Restaurant itself is pretty big and there's a bar area too! I noticed that they also serve margaritas and they have an outdoor patio. Definitely worth checking out if you love burritos. read more

I love simple joints like this. It's Chipotle-esque but locally owned, LGBTQ friendly, and has tons of seating and good vibes. Food is good too! Burritos will run you around $10 and kid meals around $5. Can get some upgrades like CA style (added French fries inside which sounds amazing, but being from LA myself, not sure how that makes it CA style since we don't do this in LA). I'm here for it though! Definitely skip the main drag and turn in for a little better food and local support. read more

Always enjoyed the food here. But the last few times I've stopped in, the staff has been so rude. Today 9/13/25 at 4:30pm I was treated so badly, I won't be stopping here again. I know it's hard to find good help, but it was so far out of line. I felt sorry for the other two employees who had to work with the girl with glasses first on the line. Wow! This is an (in my opinion) Chipotle of Salida and it was amazing - even better. My boyfriend got a burrito and although wasn't as big as Chipotle's , was very good and still so filling. I got a bowl and it was delicious. We got through the line quickly and got to eat outside with a view. We actually ate here twice in our week-long stay. My daughter and I were craving burritos last week in Salida and we found Mo Burrito in Yelp; it had good reviews so we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did! There was a line so we had to wait in line for about 15 minutes to put our orders in, which is fine. They make the burritos Qdoba style. Those burritos were pretty dang good! This place was an unexpected find as we just happened to see the sign advertises it from the highway, but I'm really glad we stopped here as we actually had a great time in Salida! The burritos here were good but a tad overpriced, and than I ask for a mojito and they put coconut rum in it, but at least they remade me another one, though this one was also not too great... but I don't fault them too much as it seemed like they just didn't have anyone that could make drinks on staff at the moment. It's the same concept as something like a Chipotle or Costa Vida. The burritos are large, but relatively unexciting. I got the veggie burrito and was disappointed. It's didn't have that great of a flavor all around. It was rather bland. We did split some queso that was pretty tasty. We had multiple orders of this and one of them came with a different kind of queso and we don't know why, so clarifying that would be best. Cool vibe though. Nice outdoor seating (though doesn't really protect from the rain). You can sit inside though next to large doors, which is cool. read more

I haven't had a single bad experience at Mo Burrito. Their lunch burritos are absolutely fire and they don't hold back on loading up on the meats. Their breakfast burritos are literally so packed with chorizo, hash browns and eggs! All of their salsas, pico and hot sauces are made in-house and their hottest will put any heat lover to the rest. Normally the food is really good but the service sucks they are always rude. Today I got a bowl to go and some chips, the bowl was alright but the chips were super burnt and I didn't realize till I got home so there wasn't much I could do about it. We stopped here on a very long road trip hoping for fresh yummy Mexican food and they delivered. I got the chicken salad bowl and it was fresh and delicious. I didn't love the spicy ranch- it was too spicy and didn't taste super fresh- but luckily I got it on the side so it didn't ruin my meal. The veggies and pick de Gallo were wonderful.
