One of our favorites in Salida for a non-cooking night. Everything is good- I hope this is not an insult, but like Chipotle but better. Our vegetarian daughter also likes it. Good beers on tap, too. Great place for a casual lunch or dinner burrito. read more

I ordered a chicken bowl. The gentleman in the beginning was whispering and made it an uncomfortable interaction. He did not give me a full scoop of chicken. The next person (young lady) did not say anything and then tossed my plate to the register. Not only did she do that to me but the six other individuals with me. I think a more friendly costumer interaction would have made this a 4 star. Last thing the food was basic. read more

Similar in style to Chipotle, but better with more options. The queso is TO DIE FOR. I don't live in Salida, and I daydream about their chips and queso. My kids love the free ski ball and foos ball. We always try to hit Salida at a meal time when we're passing through so we can go to Mo's! read more

They are going to kill me for this but it is a Chipotle just by a different name. Same burrito or taco offerings. Same process... Now, the ONE HUGE DIFFERENCE is in their salsas. Holy crap... I had the second to hottest and it burnt my damn face off. We were really kind of pissed because they absolutely doused both my wife's and my meal with this stuff. It was insane! We are no stranger to spice but this was almost unsafely hot. And it was allegedly the second hottest that they have. Outside of really not being able to eat our food the place is cool enough. I will say though the employees seemed to care less and were really mindless when combining all the ingredients of our bowls. We love supporting local businesses during our visits around the state but unfortunately, Mo Burritos you can do better (and not burn people's faces off in the process). read more

Got a burrito while passing thru town. Not sure if I was hungry or what but this was probably the best burrito I have ever had. We went at lunchtime and the owner was working the burrito line. I got a carnitas burrito California style. Some of the highlights were picked onions, pickles jalapeños and the spicy ranch. Would HIGHLY recommend to a friend and would love to go back and try more of the menu. Staff was friendly and quick. Restaurant had a great vibe. Highly recommend! read more

While visiting Salida Colorado we decided to try Mo Burrito. A friend had worked there a few years ago and raved about it. I ordered a carnitas burrito with green chili and cheese. I wanted refried beans but they do not offer that so I had to get pinto beans. The wife she ordered a Carne Asada burrito now I'm not gonna say they were bad but I'm not gonna say they were great they were just Meh. Think they are attempting to follow Chipotle style menu. We also ordered some chips and salsa but they used flour tortilla chips I'm not keen on that but that's me. So we get our burrito and we sit down and is it more than five minutes in mine isn't even hot in fact the cheese inside of it hadn't even melted. But what really got us was the price for two burritos and some chips and salsa it came to $36 dollars! So in my humble opinion it just isn't worth that amount of money to eat a couple burritos and some chips and salsa. Service was great environment was nice restrooms were clean. So if you're visiting Salida and you're on a budget I would say look elsewhere. read more

I've been to this establishment many times the food is not bad but the service could be a little better and how they prepare their food for the public is an entirely another manner. Quite often in the winter their noses are running and they're touching your food even if they put gloves on with their snotty hands it's disgusting. And in the summer there's nothing but flies all over the food that's in the counters cuz all the doors are open so there is a few issues with this place and the prices are kind of high. I've had to throw out many meals after I purchased him when I shouldn't have purchased them at all because people are sick and touching food I.. have served safe and that's disgusting to me. read more

Staying in Mt Princeton, and this restaurant is about 20 minutes from there. Went for a late lunch. You go through the line and choose what you want as they make it for you. I had a burrito bowl, my daughter a cheese and black olive quesadilla and my husband had a burrito. The portions are large and tasty. Only downside was the fountain drink machine had limited options. Also looked like they had a full bar and they had outdoor seating. Location is across from the Safeway. read more

This is one of the best local places we have. All they do is with great care. I tend to get the bowls and they are loaded with all sorts of goodness. We came here around 10 AM last Sunday...We wanted some breakfast burritos to-go before our 2 hour drive home and this place had good reviews! There was plenty of parking and the interior looked cool and there was a lot of outdoor seating. There was only 1 person in front of our 4 person group so we thought we could get in and out quick. First person in line from our group asked for the bacon breakfast burrito and they said it would take 10-15 minutes to cook up more bacon, as they were sold out which is odd at 10 am but totally understandable! My friend asked if the chorizo burrito would be available right away and the staff member said yes, but they only had enough for two. Two were ordered and when it was my turn as the chorizo and bacon were gone I planned to just order the steak lunch burrito. The lady asked what I wanted (she seemed like a manager/owner) then walked away. Two minutes later someone else came and asked for my order again, odd, and as I waited in the same spot the line grew way longer. My friend's chorizo burrito (which they said was pretty much ready when she ordered) took almost 20 minutes to come out, for a place that is chipotle style, not a sit down! Most of us almost finished ours in the car by the time she got hers even though she ordered first. We genuinely wanted anything that would be the quickest to come out and ordered what they said would be fast or already ready. People not in our group were making jokes with us as they were in the same boat lol. The burritos were alright however, but they are extremely unorganized, at least they were when we were there. Maybe we came when they were short staffed. I would unfortunately skip this place... which sucks because the vibe inside and the location were cool. read more

Excellent house margaritas and substantial, healthy, tasty burritos! In a nutshell, Mo Burrito has almost everything nailed: great food, pricing, drinks, and atmosphere. Similar to Chipotle. The only thing I thought was lacking was our burrito maker's attitude. He wasn't very friendly and he seemed to be annoyed that we had to ask how to order (first-timers) and the fact he had to be there. Regardless, the bartender (who may have been the owner) was very nice and, all things considered, I would absolutely return. read more

I saw this place while passing through town and decided to give it a shot and while it's "ok" it's not great. I think what has ruined for me after several visits is the staff never seems happy. It's mostly young adults that don't appear to like their jobs. No smiles and barely a word spoken. The food I will agree with most is a mix of Chipotle and Qudoba with a Salida flair. Yum! While we were sad to see The Ploughboy close at this location, Mo Burrito is a good stop. The lines have stacked up here at prime lunch hours, but during down time there is plenty of room to bring you and all of your friends. The burritos are big and the quesadillas are cheesy. It is set up Chipotle-style, but it has a few unique offerings, like a better kids menu and delicious spicy ranch. Service was with a smile. read more

I was looking forward to this restaurant based on the reviews. However we are here at noon on 12/30/2018 on our way to Monarch. This place seems to be more of a bar than a restaurant; looks like a pretty cool bar actually. But having our two young boys with us, that was not what we were looking for. We all got bowls. The cilantro rice was way over cooked and there was zero seasoning on anything; even the salsa. My 7 year old LOVES chipotle but wouldn't touch the steak or rice. His comment was; " mom at least the tortilla is good." Tortilla is one good note and they let me order a kids size to save money. Annoyed with a place that up sells without telling customers there is an up charge. I was making a steak salad and didn't really want fajita peppers but when I was asked "do you want to add fajita peppers?" I said sure why not. Had they mentioned the $1.50 up charge it would have been an easy pass. I don't mind paying for the guac, but that wasn't mentioned either. I realize they're probably on the menu, but most people are building their plate from the cafeteria style bar, not looking up at the menu. A friendly "would you like to add fajita peppers for an extra $1.50?" would have been appreciated. Now my average steak salad ended up costing over $14. Wild. read more

The place was amazing! 1. Safe space, and you could feel it when you walked in 2.the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly, super genuine, easy to talk to 3. The food is AMAZING , you can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are large. Chipotle... This is a pretty decent burrito joint! Their customer services is FABULOUS!!! The person I placed my order with was patient as I explained I was ordering meal for my kids and myself to share. They gave me all my fixin's on the said because I knew my kids would t like them, but I totally wanted them. Their salsas appeared great, it lacking in flavor...maybe needed more salt?
