This was our favorite pizza in town when it was Giovanni's. We have stayed loyal customers to the location and have still greatly enjoyed the pizza but there have been recent occasions where the quality wasn't consistent. read more

My first time to eat at Robin's Place. The salad bar was very fresh, pizza great and awesome potato soup. Will definitely be back.

I used to spend $75 a week here until I was in an accident after my food was ordered so I couldn't go get it. They called and said if you can't pay for food you shouldn't have ordered it lol. Well I hope that $8 sandwich was worth it! I'll never eat here again!!!!!!!! read more

All the staff are very friendly! I love the salad bar, and the pizzas pretty good too. However, the pasta is never any good... it's always mushy like it's been cooked longer than the Roman empires reign. read more

Great value, consistent quality and excellent service. It's a mainstay for my kids. Buffet has something for everybody.

I ordered chicken alfredo at 11:00am, I was told it would be 20 to 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:35am, they didn't even start my food, so i waited until 12:15 to get my food. I get to the car and check the food and it's cold. This is the second time they have either messed up my order or it seems not cook the food. read more

I thought when you order a salad- you wouldn't be charged over $9. Apparently the rest of the stuff wasn't ready and didn't start until a certain time, but still got charged the full amount. Also the pizza was very runny and very very greasy. It wasn't good at all. It was expensive for what you got. It wasn't a great experience. The restaurant did have a nice atmosphere. read more

Since my parents moved to Winchester, I've pretty much tried everything that Winchester has to offer and I must say that this is my favorite. I wish the Lexington Giovanni's location was this good! I usually stick with the soup and salad bar, at $4.69 it's the best deal in central Kentucky. No, it's not one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences either. They have a ton of salad options to choose from and everything is always fresh. The dressings are tasty too! My parents' favorite option is cheese sticks. Super underpriced and the cheesiest cheese sticks I've ever had. Usually when I'm coming into Winchester to visit, I'll call them in an order and I swing by and pick it up. The drive-thru window is convenient! Y'all don't know what you have here with this gem, Winchesterians! read more

Pizza was soft and mushy, the pasta container was empty. Just not very good. Go somewhere else, many better places out there.

Great fresh salad bar. Cheese bread sticks were awesome. Also good pizza and pasta bar. Dessert sticks were outstanding read more

I've eaten at several Giovanni's, primarily in around Lexington, and normally have a great experience. However, the Winchester location has let me down. We were there on Sat. afternoon. Some of us got the buffet. We were there for about 45 minutes and they never put out fresh cheese sticks or bread sticks. The ones on there were already hard from sitting there so long. I normally love their sausage pizza, but this time it was luke warm and dried out. We had to ask them to put out fresh pizza. The spaghetti was all dried up and stuck to the sides of the pan. One member of our party ordered a cheesesteak, but it took them 30 minutes to get to our table, and they did not appear busy at all. It looked like they had plenty of workers. I counted eight people. There were nine patrons, which included use! I just don't understand. Very disappointed on this trip. read more

Robin's Place - Cold, dry pizza - Pizza Near Me - Winchester, Kentucky

I get being short staffed so I am over looking the one server she did all she can and was working hard. Or the fact there was one sever while the owner sits on his behind never offering to lift a finger. I go to pay for my meal and I notice an employee in the back with no gloves dumping frozen garlic bread on a tray, no big deal she probably or I'd hoped washed her hands. She throws the bag away bending over with her hands in the trash can then proceeds to go back to arranging the bread WITHOUT WASHING her hands. I'm sorry but that's disgusting. I had placed a to go order when the sever asked if I got it yet. I tell her no and tell her what I observed. She rolls her eyes and says I'm being mean. HELLO I was not the one that contaminated who every food she was handling. I didn't tell, raise my voice and I'm being mean. GTF out of here. It will be a long time before I ever go back. Who would have thought after 1.5 years of being in a pandemic and some still don't know how to wash their hands. read more

We love Giovanni's, we eat there for lunch and eat the salad and pizza bar. We also call and do pick up for The subs and they are great! It is reasonably priced and the service has always been good. read more

Look folks, Giovanni's is not a fancy place. What it is is clean, friendly, fresh, quality, tasty, and excellently priced. The staff is always smiling and responsive. The salad bar is always fresh and clean. The food bar is always hot and tasty. The soups and chili are good. The pizza is not custom, but is good. And they offer dessert pizzas on the all-you-can-eat bar. The spaghetti and breads are good. We've been there several times, and you will leave satisfied. read more

Pizza flavor was good, but crust wasn't very crispy & onions were chewy. Staff was a little preoccupied I guess is the word.

Giovanni's is a small town pizza joint that can usually be found in smaller towns/cities. They have good sandwiches and great pizzas. I believe they have a buffet if you go inside to eat, but I usually get a to go order and take home. I would recommend this to anyone just passing through or locals for that matter. FYI their Extra Large pizza will barely fit in your fridge so beware. LOL read more

I went several times really wanting to like this place. Sadly the buffet is small and the pizza was stale and terrible! The pasta on the buffet was hours old in the small selection pasta overcooked noodles. The manager is not a working manager who is clueless to the many things wrong right under his nose! He is great at standing around ocupying space and not speaking yo anyone! I am forced to order from the limited menu to get anything halfway freshly made. The italian sub was actually not bad or i would have given a one star rating! Stay away from the buffet like the plauge! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE We traveled to the area for a state wrestling tournament. After the tournament was over we stopped in Giovanni's to eat. It had a good crowd and it took about 7 mins to get seated. The waitress sat us, took our drink order and asked if we wanted the buffet bar. We said we would like to see menus and we received a look of disgust from her. She brought us our drinks and menus and didn't bother to come back to our table. We waited a good 20+ minutes while we watched her seat others and take their order which was the buffet bar. Guess if you don't want the buffet then I don't suggest that place at all! read more

Awesome Salad Bar! Nice place to take the kids. Pizza was very good. Definitely will come back when in the Lexington area.

I like this place. Clean, the outside looks kinda boring. It's a place i've went by a lot and never really caught my attention. Excellent portion sizes, you get your moneys worth. The specialty sauce is different and is what's in a lot of the menu items. I liked it. Have to wait anywhere from 15-20 mins, my first visit was 15 my second 20 when it was during lunch rush. I don't understand a lot of the complaints and other reviews here. It's not that bad. There's a drive through. The dining room area is on the small side. read more

The food is always good here, this review is a comical take on how they are currently handling Covid, as I get shuffled to a back corner booth, I get a clear view of the circus people getting seated back to back and booth to booth, they have a salad bar.. picture this a woman with a shield and gloves makes your salad while you and your two snot nosed kids point over the items on the bar at what you want .hmm, they bring you a plastic cup, I've experienced this in other restaurants, however when needing a refill I usually got a new cup full. Not here , the waitress who repeatedly told every patron how dang hot it was and continued to wipe her brow of sweat takes your plastic cup , stops at 3 other tables holding my cup chats about the latest gossip in Winchester and eventually returns with a fill up . Keep in mind the waitress is not wearing a mask nor gloves .. hmmm Dinner was great , as it always is. Go to pay and the sweet girl working the counter has enough protection on she's safe from chemical warfare. Even tho she's totally comfortable to slide the screen around for me to touch as everyone in and out has all day. This isn't a bad review mind you , it's the insane irony and interpretation of people's precautions or lack there of that cracks me up. read more

I would put this restaurant up at the top of my list for restaurants. I think that they have one if not the best salad bar in town. It's very clean and neat and their food is delicious. I haven't ever had better Italian food than here. When I'm hungry for real food I go here for their soup beans and fried cornbread. Mmmm The corn bread sticks are delicious. read more

Their food is pretty good, but their waitress was even better. She took good care of us. A smile on her face, goes a long ways. She actually seemed to like being there. The only complaint that I would have is the food temperature dropped really quick. But overall it's very enjoyable. read more

Recommend this place for their lunch buffet, servers are friendly and well experienced with dealing during a lunch rush. We came during the lunch buffet and seating area needs a re-design for better flow and space for large and small groups. It was tight squeezing to get from your table to the buffet and back not only for the customers and servers. Our booth table was knocked on a couple of times, thank goodness for paper cups. The food was hot, fresh and they keep the cleaning coming. We waited a bit (5 to 10 minutes) for our waters but the customers were coming in literally by the minute, so we understood that our server was trying to get to us as fast as she could. We was prompted with cleaning our table and providing more napkins without asking. I noticed the manager and owner helping out with seating and keeping an eye on the store during the lunch rush. I gave it a four stars for the seating issue and the food was good but what you usually expect from a pizza/pasta buffet. read more

Friendly service . Nice , clean, well stocked buffet. All the entrees I've ever had have been great.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm working in Winchester. The Food is cheap and decent quality for what you pay for it. The Lunch Buffett is open until 2:30 and is only 5.99 which is not bad for a full pizza Buffett. The owner is a decent guy but is more about money than he is the customer which is my only complaint. Overall I would give it a whirl if you are looking for somewhere like CiCis pizza. read more

I would've hoped this place might improve but sadly it's just continued downhill. It is in desperate need of new ownership and quality control. You're better off at Little Cesar's or go to buy a frozen pizza or leftover spaghetti because it would still be better than the sad food here. Creepy owner is always hovering and the staff could not be less bothered. What a shame to give Giovanni's such a bad image. read more

Waste of time and money. Horrible customer service and the quality is lacking. Twice ordered a pizza and was given a 30 minute wait time and both time I showed up to get it they were just putting it in the oven. The staff acts clueless, it's an absolute joke. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. read more

I frequent this place. Good sandwiches. Good pizza. Nothing to rave about. They are not good at getting orders correct if they stray from the menu description. If you want to remove or add things to your food this may not be the best place for getting it right. I would describe the food to be slightly more than what I wanted to pay for, slightly more than I wanted to eat, and slightly different than what I asked for. read more

Awful service, had buffet. When asked waitress when fresh pizza was going to be put on bar she said she'd check and never returned....neither did fresh pizza to the buffet bar. Husband thought he'd be safe and spare himself the dried out pizza and ate salad. When we got home he discovered he had food poison and spent 24hours making trips to the bathroom. Pitiful pizza place and extremely pitiful management. Will never visit again and grew up in Ashland on Giovanni's pizza. read more

This place just makes me sad. First, if you grew up in the 80's eating Giovanni's do NOT stop by here looking for nostalgia, you will find none! It my say Giovanni's but there is no "pizza power" here! Second, if you eat in the dinning room be prepared to feel awkward and uncomfortable as the owner stands around and lears at patrons as they eat. Last, ask for vegetarian options on the buffet and prepare for the weirdest combos in history: banana peppers and. green olives or onions and banana peppers... they don't even stock black olives!! To wrap up this place is a no! read more

Just had lunch at Giovanni's and the service and food was not great. Told the waitress the pizza was cold on the buffet and she let us know that the cook was not going to put fresh out for a while. In so many words we could eat it or not she didn't care. Most of the workers were congregated in the kitchen talking and laughing instead of working. Disappointed in the service and the food. read more

We stopped at this location and were seated, but after 15 min. The two waitresses never waited on us. Both walked by us three times made eye contact, never spoke and then went to seat other guests.
