Since my parents moved to Winchester, I've pretty much tried everything that Winchester has to offer and I must say that this is my favorite. I wish the Lexington Giovanni's location was this good! I usually stick with the soup and salad bar, at $4.69 it's the best deal in central Kentucky. No, it's not one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences either. They have a ton of salad options to choose from and everything is always fresh. The dressings are tasty too! My parents' favorite option is cheese sticks. Super underpriced and the cheesiest cheese sticks I've ever had. Usually when I'm coming into Winchester to visit, I'll call them in an order and I swing by and pick it up. The drive-thru window is convenient! Y'all don't know what you have here with this gem, Winchesterians!

Great fresh salad bar. Cheese bread sticks were awesome. Also good pizza and pasta bar. Dessert sticks were outstanding

I've eaten at several Giovanni's, primarily in around Lexington, and normally have a great experience. However, the Winchester location has let me down. We were there on Sat. afternoon. Some of us got the buffet. We were there for about 45 minutes and they never put out fresh cheese sticks or bread sticks. The ones on there were already hard from sitting there so long. I normally love their sausage pizza, but this time it was luke warm and dried out. We had to ask them to put out fresh pizza. The spaghetti was all dried up and stuck to the sides of the pan. One member of our party ordered a cheesesteak, but it took them 30 minutes to get to our table, and they did not appear busy at all. It looked like they had plenty of workers. I counted eight people. There were nine patrons, which included use! I just don't understand. Very disappointed on this trip.

The buffet breadstick pizza with and without cheese are so buttery and will give you heart blockage. Totally worth it :)

The food was pretty good, and enjoyed the chili, salad bar and some of the pizza and pasta options.

The receipt says the name of Tabitha but I'm unsure if that was our waitress or whomever was just logged into the front register. Please anyone and everyone go there and bless this lady with CASH TIPS! Regardless, our waitress was amazing and deserved $1,000.00 tip if we were able to do so. ***THIS OWNER COULD POSSIBLY BE RETAINING CUSTOMERS INFORMATION DUE TO THE ACTIONS HE TRIED TODAY!!*** Now to the worse part... we go to the register to pay. The receipt is printed and our cost was $118.71. Today is Thanksgiving day and we wanted to bless our waitress for her great service and as a simple act of kindness. This is what we do! The owner came to the register and said he wanted to see my husband's id to insure it was indeed his credit card because we were leaving our waitress a $220.00 tip. (Granted, this is a business in Winchester, KY and we are from Lexington, KY where the bigger restaurants must allow their employees to get a blessed tip.) They matched up and then he proceeds to flip the credit card over and says he needs to take a picture of his credit card info along with his drivers license and also writes my husbands telephone number on the receipt. That's a big negative! My husband says no, then retrieves his cards. There's no reason he would need the credit card info and his drivers license info if the credit card had already been swiped and approved. Actually there's no reason anyone should take a front and back picture of your credit card and drivers license. The owner gets pissed off and says he will only accept $20.00 charged on the card for her tip and that our tip was an unreasonable amount for her. My husband says he will just give her cash. The owner says, that's fine, go to the bank and get cash to give to her. My husband says he has the money on him and gives her the cash in person. The owner says fine, pay your bill and thanks for tip. Excuse me asshole. That tip was not for you and I hope that she gets to keep it. From the way he acted, it seemed like he was an abusive boss/owner! Our waitress was in tears and gave us each a huge hug along with her daughter that was there. The way that this man acted was so disturbing as if his employees don't deserve to be blessed. I hope that God blesses this lady and her family that she finds a better boss then this asshole! We couldn't really express how we felt about his actions in fear of he may retaliate against her. This post is not to deter anyone from going to this business but to just inform you all that if you want to give this waitress a blessing, bring cash because her asshole, abusive, prejudiced boss won't let you and will make the employee feel as if they don't deserve a blessing. I encourage anyone and everyone to please go here and bless this waitress! She's only been at the restaurant a few weeks and she says she's just moved to Winchester from Lexington for a fresh start with her children!
