An inviting bar and restaurant in the heart of downtown Mount Sterling with excellent cuisine. Romeros is a place to meet and eat that you will truly enjoy. I highly recommend.

Brownie for desert. It has chocolate chips and peanut butter.

Relaxed, inviting and intimate atmosphere. Alex our waitress was very pleasant and helpful with the menu. She made wonderful suggestions. The breaded ravioli was shockingly mesmerizing and came with 2 distinct sauces to try. The salad (forgot to take a photo) was an amazing mix of greens that had me wishing I'd gotten a large salad. The lemon caper salmon was phenomenal. Spaghetti noodles in a very light sauce topped with salmon that was not too fishy, capers and more sauce. The brownie was a delight. Soft and mouth melting, topped with a creamy icing and peanut butter drizzle along with chocolate chips. My husband had the piccata and was also delighted. We will definitely be back to try other flavors.

Then finally when it did come, our daughters food came first and much later, nearly 10 minutes, our meal came. Normally, the meals should come at the same time, or at least, close together. They tried to say, "we have to make the food in the order it was taken. We all ordered on the same ticket! We noticed they had trouble finding the tables every time they had an order. I thought that is why everyone took numbers to the tables! When our meals finally came, we had to ask for napkins and silver ware. Then we had to get our own refills. When we first went in the TV was on but no sound. It was perfect. Then the TV went off and very loud music came one. Not good. My husband ordered unsweet tea, which ended up being nasty, sone designer tea with mango and passion fruit in it. They replaced it with water. We did ask for a refund and got it. My daughter ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. However, the sauce was also nasty, some kind of Ale 8 mess. They replaced it with a different pizza. However, we then had to wait once again for the new pizza. WILL NOT GO BACK!

We ordered the bacon breadsticks. They were good as long as you ate on the outside. The middle was soggy and checked the dough was not fully cooked. We ordered the supreme pizza. The crust of the pizza. Was good and toppings were good as well. No issues there. The main issue was the sauce. It was basically all tomato paste but did not taste like tomato or did really have any flavor. It was odd at best. Other things observed. My wife noticed French fries in a heating box. They were there when sat down and did not move until we already had our pizza. It was at least 10-15 minutes. Then it was served to the table behind us. Needless to say they did not eat but a few of them. We looked after they left. From what I heard around everyone else likes the Alfredo sauce and the bruschetta. I do not think I will be returning. If I do I will be trying the pasta with Alfredo. The prices were fair and the service was good. I just really wish I could say the pizza was worth it.

Unfortunately my dad wasn't in the mood for pizza because he loves their fettuccini alfredo. So I took a quick poll from some surrounding patrons and ordered a Stromboli. (spaghetti was a close second, so I have to return for both pizza AND spaghetti!) The restaurant is large and provides lots of seating in tables or booths. I was informed on Friday and Saturday allow for some wait time to be seated. But since I went on a Tuesday afternoon we were seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. The dining area and pick up counter were immaculate. The menu was double sided, one side devoted to various pizza options and appetizers. The back of the menu was pasta dishes and sandwiches. There were salads and dessert options as well. Everything looked and sounded delicious. My dad's fettuccine looked great, he ordered a small size portion that looked very generous. He also had cheese and garlic breadsticks that looked wonderful. The Stromboli was excellent. It came fully loaded and had ruffles style potato chips as a side. It was an average size sandwich compared to what you might get at a subway sandwich place, but it was enough and it was very tasty. I will definitely return for pizza, when I told my neighbor we had lunch at Leono's his face lit up and he asked "did you get a pizza?!" when I said no he looked disappointed in me. I assured him it was on my list and he invited himself to go with me. Try them out- you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

We wanted to try something outside of chain restaurants, but this place is nothing to "write home…read moreabout." Upon our arrival, we observed a small child running around in the kitchen. Not only is this dangerous, but I'm sure the health dept would not approve. The food is overpriced. We ordered cheese bread as an appetizer, not realizing it is only individual portions. We also ordered the meat pizza and a beef and cheddar sandwich. The cheese bread was a bit dry and was served with a cup of under seasoned butter. Normally breadsticks are served with marinara so we asked the waitress for some, not realizing we were going to be charged for "extra sauce." The sandwich was next to bare and lacking (as you can see in pic.) It was served with cheap chips that tasted like they hadn't been stored correctly. The pizza was ok. It tasted like the canned pizza crust from Kroger. It was under-seasoned so we added salt. In summary, I'm always happy when we try something new but do not recommend based on our experience.
