a plate of lasagna and bread

I'm from out of town and literally picked this restaurant because the parking lot was full. I figured full parking lot must be good food and I wasn't wrong. After a brief description of the menu from my willing and waiting waitress I made the decision to pick the lasagna. BTW, have the cheese put on the breadsticks, only 80 cents xtra. Despite the huge chip out of the presentation platter - the lasagna was delicious, possibly the best I've ever had. Definitely check out Leono's if you are in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

Very homey and inexpensive! Homemade pizza lasagna was authentic and tasty. I do warn, they do not serve Alfredo pasta, but they make their own signature sauce that has a cinnamon flavor. It was good but not a flavor I'm use to having with pasta. Service is generous and kind.

On a road trip and stumbled on this little hidden gem. The food was amazing! Very cozy family vibe. The pizza was fresh and cooked to perfection. If you are ever close by, check it out!

Best food ever, the cheese sticks were amazing in the garlic butter. The super spaghetti and pizza were also so so good.

I've been here a few times since we moved to the area and have grown to adore it. Leono's isn't the best pizza place I've ever been to, but everything about it is charming: the high school employees, the families dining together, the overall cheerful atmosphere, the arcade games in the back corner, the jukebox, and the classic pizza joint menu offerings... and the fact that it's pretty much the only good pizza place in town that isn't take-out like Snappy Tomato or Papa John's. The pizza itself isn't amazing by Chicago pizza standards, BUT, it IS pretty darn good in its own way. Although you can get a variety of toppings and crusts (thin, pan), my husband and I typically order a thin crust cheese pizza and we always drool over it. The cheese breadsticks are pretty phenomenal too. The bills at the end of our meals aren't too bad -- typically less than $20 for two of us with an appetizer, pizza, and drinks. I'll probably be eating pizza here for the rest of my life. Thank God it's good pizza! Whew.

Delicious Alfredo supreme and cheesy breadsticks!

The food is always delicious, and the service has always been prompt and courteous when we've been there. The price is reasonable as well.

It's okay. Nothing to rant and rave about. It's certainly not the best pizza I've ever had and it is an expensive place to eat.

Does the restaurant have TVs to watch games?

I don't remember exactly, however I don't think so although you could bring your phone to watch games while you eat. 😉

Absolutely adorable spot for Italian in Versailles!…read more I met up with some friend here for a girls dinner and luckily it was nice enough to be seated on the patio. We started with the arancini as well as the house bread that's served after you're seated- both super tasty. I'm not a huge pasta fan so I ordered a grilled romaine salad (that may be seasonal because I no longer see it on the menu). I added salmon and it was great! Our service was great and I definitely think Vallozzi's is worth the drive from Lexington!

My wife points out Vallozzi's as we were walking back to the car, and we decided to try. We walked in and immediate love the vibe. The restaurant is gorgeous! And they were busy too. We walked up to see if we could get a table. She asked if we had a reservation and we didn't. She said they were totally booked. We were bummed but said thank you and agreed we'd come back when we did. As we were leaving, the hostess chased us down and asked if we still wanted to grab dinner, of course we said yes ...... and so began our dining journey with Vallozzis! Ashley as was our server and we took her recommendations on just about everything! The menu is varied with plenty of options. We started with the prosciutto plate and recommended wine - Teresa got the Angel Rose and I chose the Hall Chardonnay. Perfect. Our daughter had a Sprite, just to put that out there. Our daughter got the manicotti which looked fab! My wife got the Parma, and I got the special beef filet ravioli. Everything was prepared perfectly and we could not have been better service. Thanks Ashley! The ambiance is quite charming and you'll feel very comfortable being here! We needed to get dessert of course so we chose the banana tiramisu and got two of them to go! No disappointment at all. Really enjoyed our time and dining experience here and we'll definitely be back. There's too much on that fabulous menu to try, not yo come back and back and back. Check out Vallozzis! Make sure to get a reservation just to be safe. We will too!

Salads ( Caesar and Gorgonzola) were forgettable- neither of us finished. Enjoyable space. It was busy and lively without being overwhelming loud. Negative is parking. Sometimes it's just a one-night stop, sometimes a few days, but we always take her out for a proper dinner. This trip, arriving from Chicago and following my chiropractor's enthusiastic recommendation, we chose Giuseppe's, and it turned out to be a very lovely evening. The space is warm and inviting, with plenty of wood, cozy lighting, and an impressive display of bourbons and wines that immediately sets a welcoming tone. We started with gnocchi and mozzarella alla milanese. The gnocchi were nicely al dente and the paired sauces complemented each other well. My husband and I shared the daily special, halibut with a light creamy caper sauce. The fish leaned slightly overcooked, but the flavors were still very enjoyable, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly done. Our friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and after one bite I understood her happiness... rich, creamy, and comforting. Dessert became a celebration: a Spumoni Bomba (three gelatos wrapped in a chocolate shell) and a warm maple cake with ice cream that was honestly sinful in the best way. Our server, Tim, didn't make the strongest first impression but warmed up quickly becoming attentive and pleasant. Cocktails could use a little more polish, my Old Fashioned was a bit harsh, and I was surprised a Boulevardier wasn't available despite a Negroni being on the menu and bourbon well represented. Overall, a very good experience and a wonderful dinner with friends, not bad at all for just a brief stop in town.

Instead of making customers feel appreciated, they made me feel like I needed to rush through my order and get out of the way. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, not one where you feel like you're inconveniencing the employees. I ordered the chicken piccata after asking the employee for a recommendation. It's a classic Italian dish that's typically served with a light lemon-butter sauce, tender chicken, and thin pasta. What I received was nothing like that. The pasta was made with oversized noodles that completely overwhelmed the dish. Even worse, there were so many thick strips of onion that they looked like more pasta. After digging through the mountain of onions just to find the chicken, I finally took a few bites, and the flavor was incredibly disappointing. The sauce lacked the bright, fresh taste you'd expect from a chicken piccata, and the entire meal was heavy, unbalanced, and simply unpleasant. I couldn't even finish it. After only a few bites, I threw the meal away and walked out. It's extremely rare for me to abandon a meal, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and pass on this restaurant. Between the unfriendly service, the rushed atmosphere, and the disappointing food, there's simply no reason to spend your money here when there are so many excellent Italian restaurants to choose from. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it to anyone.
