My wife and I stopped in for some food today. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch grinder, my wife ordered the tiger grinder and we also order an extra tiger grinder with a large pepperoni pizza and a large cheese pizza. The place was super clean and the staff was very polite. We did not have too wait long for our order and all the food was hot n fresh even when we got home. The flavors were great and did not disappoint at all! My only down side....they don't have wings at this location. Fairly priced as well. read more

This place is AWESOME... It is a hole in the wall pizza shop in a strip center but it hits all the key marks to make it very worthy of stopping by for a meal. The place is clean and tidy. The service was awesome - the day a was there the owner was in and stopped by my table to see how I liked the grinder. The food was delicious. Food wasn't fresh, service was okay, but atmosphere was terrible! We visited Saturday night and the atmosphere was terrible. Music was blaring with terrible language. The pizza by the slice was old tasting. One customer came in for her order. They told her they didn't have an order for her. It was discovered that the order was under a different name. The girl at the register told the customer that the music was too loud and she couldn't understand her. Probably why the place wasn't packed like it used to be. I wouldn't recommend this place to families with young children or anyone offended by offensive music lyrics. Two thumbs down! I also contacted the store online and got no response. read more

We have family in Georgetown, so when we visit we defer to their judgement on where to eat. They chose Mancino's Pizza & Grinders for lunch one day, and it was pretty good! I'll start by saying, this place is no frills. It's in a strip mall, and the location itself is definitely older. The food is served on disposable to-go plates, even when you dine in. They use a lot of plastic and styrofoam here. The menu is really extensive. They have lots of sandwich and pasta options, as well as appetizers and salads. It took me several minutes to figure out what I was going to order, as many of the sandwiches sounded tasty. I landed on the Steak Grinder, minus a few of the toppings, and it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it was really large (I only ate half) and it came out hot and freshly prepared. B opted for Baked Spaghetti, and while he enjoyed it, it wasn't my favorite. While Mancino's Pizza & Grinders wasn't one of my favorite spots, overall I'd say it's a fine place to grab an easy lunch in Georgetown. read more

I have been going to this place since 1992. The original owners ran this business like their baby. The staff and the food were top notch. Since this newest ownership, it has gone downhill fast. The sandwiches are much smaller and literally taste different than before. Oh, but the cost is much higher for a far inferior product. The cool staff has all left because they couldn't work under this new guy. That came from them, not me. I used to view Mancino's as a Georgetown staple. Not anymore. Very sad actually. read more

We were looking for a place to stop on the way to Gatlinburg, and happened upon this place, and we were pleasantly surprised. I got a grinder, it was huge, delicious, and the bread was amazing. My wife and son got a cheese pizza, and she said it was very good. My other son got the fettuccine Alfredo and wolfed it down with a thumbs up, so that's teenager for excellent. We also enjoyed the Ale 81 machine with different flavors, as we'd never seen that before. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the teenage crew was kind of rude, and kept forgetting stuff we asked for, and I had to keep going back up to the front to ask for it, which resulted in numerous eye rolls. read more

My family and I have ordered from here on a couple of occasions. At best the food is mediocre, usually out of the 4 of us only one truly enjoyed their meal. The first time we ordered pizzas with a side of cheese sticks. Pizzas were good however the cheese sticks were awful and the marinara had waayyy to much garlic. Today we ordered grinders, fries with cheese and a order of supreme nachos. Most of the grinders were okay but the side were absolutely disgusting! Neither of my kids liked the cheese fries and the nachos didn't have any cheese hardly and tasted burnt. Definitely not worth the money. read more

I've lived in Georgetown for a few years now, driven by this place countless times. I figured I'd finally try it out. I like to try local places and go new places, so I figured I'd try it. I probably won't be back, certainly not any time soon. The best thing I can say about it is that it's like stepping back in time 20 or 30 years. The whole place seems trapped in amber from some point in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I'd bet money that place hasn't been renovated in a quarter century or more. Aside from the modern-design credit card machines at the cash registers and a couple of signs saying they deliver through a local delivery website, nothing there was from the last 20 years. Everything from furniture to menus to the music that was playing (non-stop 80's hits) was from that era. If you've got a retro nostalgic urge to step back to 1990 and visit a pizza place during the Reagan/Bush era, this place might scratch that itch. The restaurant itself, however, was mediocre at best and there are better places for Italian food in Georgetown and the surrounding area. I suspect a lot of the really good reviews here on Yelp are because of childhood nostalgia, a lot of longtime Georgetown residents probably grew up with this place as the Italian restaurant of their childhood and see it through those nostalgic eyes. As someone who moved to Georgetown only a few years ago and has had Italian cuisine around the country, and in Italy itself, I can't see it the same way. The service was lousy. I was waiting in line, got to the front of the line when the person behind the counter said they were busy and let someone cut in front of me because she said she only had time to help one customer (and apparently it wasn't going to be me). So, after they let someone ahead of me, I had to wait some more at the front of the line to place my order. The place is busy, and they apparently practice favoritism to some customers. When my meal was ready, the server who brought it out to me seemed confused, I saw her ask with confusion who I was and where I was to another employee and call my name out to the restaurant for where to bring my food. I had to flag her down, and realized that's not how food is brought to your table at any normal restaurant. The best thing about the pasta dish I had was the garlic bread, that was actually pretty tasty and the high point of my meal. I tried to dip it in the marinara in my pasta though, but they were stingy enough with the marinara there was nothing there to dip it in. The Italian food connoisseur in me was rather bemused that their "pasta supreme" was linguine marinara. The conventional wisdom in Italian cuisine is that flatter pasta like linguine and fettuccine goes with rich oil/cream-based sauces like Alfredo or clam sauce, and smaller round pasta like spaghetti and capellini goes with marinara. Also, I should have known from the menu not having the price of a fountain drink on it that it was going to be expensive. It was over $2 for a regular soda. I was on a tight budget for that meal, if I knew it was going to cost that much I would have just got a cup of water. Also, I thought I was ordering just a regular plate of pasta, but it came out with a layer of cheese on top. This apparently added about a buck and a half to my meal. I didn't order it, but it did explain why my meal was over $10 for a small plate of pasta and soda, especially since the pasta was only $6 and change on the menu. I didn't ask for it like that when I ordered, but I wasn't in a mood to argue, but given how hectic and chaotic the front counter was for ordering, and how confused they seemed about orders overall, I figured they'd gotten that mixed up too. I just noted they'd managed to tack on a little more money onto my dinner bill. I left a little hungry, I didn't leave full. It definitely wasn't a big plate of pasta, my food was brought to me in a small aluminum take-out tray on a Styrofoam plate, and also Styrofoam drink cups are used. Reducing waste and environmental impact is NOT a priority of this place, I guess it's another way they're stuck in the 1980's. A few minutes after I left, I got the final vote of disapproval. . .from my digestive tract. I got that rumbling in my stomach that I always get after eating cheap food, and that anguish in the restroom that followed a few minutes thereafter. Oh how this place has went down hill. I've been eating at this Mancinos for over 15 years and today it was something different. Don't let the name fool you, it's not Mancinos. I had the chicken breast today, totally new recipe. The chicken was more like turkey and had bones. The bread want not the same delicious crispy bread you always know. I didn't even finish and I'm a fat guy. I miss the days when I could swing by here and destroy a tiger, so delicious. Also a change I. Staff and decor. I'm guessing new management. As we waited for the garlic bread sticks, we saw two different employees cleaning. The place is very clean and kept up. Food: one 16" Italian One 8" Italian Two orders of garlic breadsticks Sweet tea Unsweetened tea Amazing. Wonderful balance to the meat, veggie, bread and condiments ratio. Mancino's is a favorite lunch place of mine. The menu poses a huge problem because everything I have ever had is delicious. I am always debating when I walk in "Pizza or Grinders or some other item like the taco salad. They have a personal pizza with 3 toppings which is one of my go to items. They also have homemade fresh cookies. The grinders are huge (even the half grinder!) Teresa and her staff are friendly and they keep the place clean. Nice little place. Average food. We ordered one of their sandwiches as well as a couple pizzas. The pizzas were the essence of generic. Absolutely nothing memorable about them. Crust was decent, toppings were average, it was oily. Basically a Dominos Pizza style pie. Meh. The sandwich was tasty. A turkey and beef combination on a toasted bun with lots of different toppings. For a toasted sandwich I'd say it was average as well. Honestly I enjoy a Subway toasted sandwich more. If you come here you will find something edible to eat.
