My continuing issues with Robertson Pools and Spas finally bit the bullet and went with the recommendation that the pool need to be replastered collected estimates for pebble tech from multiple companies with Robertson Pools Inc being the most expensive. I ended up choosing Robertson Pools, Inc. because I was told by the salesman there were no hidden costs, and that the other estimates from other companies had hidden costs. Turns out Robertson Pools,inc. had hidden costs. The overall remodel experience was not pleasant. Parts were thrown in my flowerbeds and left in the extreme Texas heat for over 35 days end result spa jets had to be replaced at a cost of $1200. Pool light, which was working prior to the remodel no longer works . It was also thrown in the yard in the extreme heat. When I spoke to the operations manager, I was told the company is not liable as they called this out in the contract that I signed. My issue is they know that the lights are not going to work after the remodel otherwise it would not be called out in the contract Robertson could have factored the cost of a new light into the original estimate and the salesman could've called this out which he did not. They left the light on the side of the pool in extreme heat knowing it would cause it to malfunction. Very disappointed that I am now going to be out another $600 to have the light replaced. I feel that the tactics use to get me to move forward with the remodel, we're not transparent, and unethical. Any potential for existing parts to malfunction should've been called out by the sales person and it was not. Had I known all of this before signing the contract. I definitely would not have chosen this company and would have went with one of the other estimates that I received.I trusted Robertson Pools and their representative. I believed what I was being told about no hidden cost and now I'm having to replace a parts that I feel they Robertsons Pool, Inc. had a responsibility in breaking because they left parts in extreme heat when they could use all other alternatives methods to that would not have caused the parts to malfunction. I sent pictures and even contacted the project manager about the parts being in the yard and nothing was done The additional $1800 was not budgeted and they did not tell me I needed a contingency fund. Dave, cannot say enough good things about Tony Martin and David Saulmon regarding our pool purchase and construction. Tony gave us a competitive price and told us what to expect. He guided us through the selection process and made recommendations. Tony was very adaptive on the contract when we wanted to change accountability for the sprinklers. He allowed us to remove it, issued a credit, and allowed us to use our own landscaper. Tony said to expect 3 months to complete which is about how long it took. Tony was a professional and it showed when compared to other companies. There sales people made us feel like we were buying a used car. David kept us up to date on the crews and timing. The stone work is amazing and now I understand the time involved creating a one of a kind feature. David always responded almost immediately to our questions and always had answers. Anita was super and kept us abreast of the schedule changes. The "Pool Builder" app is amazing. It saved a lot more calls to David regarding the pool's status. Dave, as a customer you hear horror stories about pool building and some of the Google Robinson Reviews had us worried when making our decision on whom to use. Your leaders and crews are amazing. Robertson Pools built our pool and outdoor living space. The design turned out beautiful, but the promise of 8-10 weeks turned into 18 weeks. Along the journey, we encountered lack of communication and supervision. It seemed as though the employees did not want to take ownership or responsibility. There was a three week period that no workers showed up, the weather was not a factor at this time. We inquired many times about the schedule with no response or the answer "I don't know", this coming from the management. I, the home owner, caught three things that were going to be built incorrectly. Stone walls not tall enough, the walls faced with the incorrect material and electrical installed in the wrong spot. We were playing the roll of construction supervisor. They also failed 4 electrical inspections along the way, 2 were for the final inspection. The pool, patio and cover are beautiful, but I could not (in good conscience) recommend this company due to our experience. On the positive side, the designer was excellent and the techs are knowledgable and friendly. if you do use them put a time line in the contract. read more

CHECK ANGIE'S LIST!! This Company lacks complete accountability, professionalism, and any type of customer service whatsoever. We spent over $250K with this company, and they refuse to address punch list items. - Our Tile Decking does not match. We raised the concern immediately when being layed in June (now october), and they still refuse to address. - Pot-hole in 1 Drain is a safety Hazard and they claim there is "nothing to fix". The hole can be seen 10 yards away. - Workers caught sleeping on the job multiple times for 2+ hours - SEE PICTURES. - They do not return calls or requests... but if they want money they don't leave you alone. - Workers caught stealing canoe from my garage and fishing in the lake behind my house It's shocking that a company like this can stay in business and definitely should not be hired for higher end work. read more

Excellent Customer Service! Robertson Pools, Inc. built my pool in 2004. The construction process was very smooth and communcation was excellent thanks to Anita Calicchio. We had many questions during the process and she was very patient in answering them and getting the job done. We have had very few problems with our equipment since the pool was built. Robertson has done all of our maintenance work and has kept everything running smoothly. I recently had a problem with keeping my water chemistry balanced and Al Griffin came out to address my concerns. He was very informative and helpful. He took the time to teach me what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. My pool water has never been so sparkly! Love the pool and design... the problem is with the service and Robertson not standing behind what they promised. Many, many times I expressed my concern with a retaining wall that they were replacing. Over and over the salesperson and the construction manager assured me that the retaining wall would perform as well or better than the wall they were replacing. After the last rains, we have had to install $18,000 worth of drains and are now having to repair the water damager to three rooms in our home because the retaining wall did not do the job. Robertsons only response was to bring us a sump pump and say good luck. Would not ever use them again because they do not stand behind their word. read more

I was having problems keeping our pool water clean and algae free. I'd been using a local pool cleaning guy for several years but for some reason, he could not fix the problems. I called Al at Robertson and man, did he jump on it! He came out personally to assess the situation, recommended the solution, gave me an estimate and within three days they were working on the fix. We have a 33,000 gallon pool, so I thought it would take some time, but within a week we had crystal clear and clean water again. Al is open, honest and direct. My experience was sometime ago; however they did not explain that the system would need upgraded if I bought a variable speed pump during the pool remodel. Mr. Campbell now accuses me of lying and says I requested the pump and that he will have my Yelp reviews taken down. Mr Campbell I have my paperwork showing the pump was part of the initial pool remodel. I will continue to post this. Yelp wants honest reviews; this is an honest review. I did bring it to your attention and that is when I found out the system needed upgraded. And yes you did say I was lying when I told you all the work was done at once. Not only did Robertson's build me a beautiful pool and spa, for the past year and a half, I have been utilizing their pool cleaning and maintenance services. Marc maintains my pool weekly and treats it as if it were his own. Even going so far as to scrub the sides with a hand brush when he notices any waterline deposits. He spends more time with my pool than I ever did! These guys know pools in and out. And most importantly, they care. Al (Griffin) manages the group and comes by often to make sure all is well. We have been using Robertson Pool Services for one year and we are completely satisfied and confident our pool is in the best of care. Grant is our service tech and arrives promptly on our scheduled service day and leaves a weekly service report. Any unusual issues are brought to our attention. Al Griffen, the service manager, is always available to us. I have had to call his cell phone on occasion after hours as we have an older pool and repairs are necessary from time to time.
