This is the second time we've worked with the team at ROS, and they continue to be the most professional, thoughtful, and efficient contractors we've ever hired. Back in February 2021, they built a cedar pergola and Trex patio at our old house--in just seven days. It was so fun to watch their process that I was honestly disappointed when the project wrapped up! Fast forward to April 2025: we brought them back to build a cedar storage shed attached to our house and install a new concrete pathway in the front yard. Even after I changed the design and scope mid-project, they still delivered everything flawlessly in just five days. I contacted via Yelp and provided information on what I am looking for, but they just auto reply and tell me to contact them via their phone number. Eventually I call them and leave a voicemail, but never get a call back until I leave a bad review on Yelp. The owner called me and offered to provide a quote. He stated he never got my voicemail and would like to make it up. Per his request, I removed the bad Yelp review, but when the quote is not exactly the project I want and I ask for something more custom, they never respond again. I even emailed them so it wouldn't get lost in a text. I just went with Texas Backyard Living and they came out in person to quote me the same week. 2 weeks later it was built and I am so happy. Money was not an issue, but I guess ROS's time was more important. read more

The responded immediately, with courtesy and were so simple and comforting. Wyatt was there exactly when he said, he listened (ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME) and took what I said and made it his plan. When I expressed some concern about my budget, they were so accommodating, letting me know what they could do to help. His family/team came in and did everything with extreme professionalism and efficiency that I couldn't help but smile when i was watching them build the deck knowing to myself that I finally made a good choice when picking a company to help me out. During the build the team WORKED the whole time. I couldn't believe it. I had prior companies, literally sit for a long time during the day...not just at lunch, but many times during the days. These guys were on time every morning and worked all day until the day was done. They kept the location clean and picked up and even worked with another company (who was working on my sprinklers) during their job when they could have easily said 'we will wait". I don't know how anybody is getting these folks to do work for them. They've never returned a voice message or email I've sent. I did get someone to answer the phone once and they said they're one of the owners. They asked that I text pictures of what I wanted, measurements, project description, etc. Very time consuming and difficult via text. Never received any response to that or follow up texts. I see many similar reviews as well. Maybe they're just too busy to even respond to the text they asked me to send but if that's the case - be up front and tell me you have so much business that you don't have time for me. read more

Hands down the best experience we've had with a home remodeling contractor. Wyatt and his team built a custom cable railing for our unusually-shaped, large deck. We spoke with probably five or six contractors in the DFW area before finding ROS. They were the only ones who could customize and source the materials, plan and design and install everything. I phoned ROS to request a quote on replacing an old cedar deck that was disintegrating. They asked the size, and I guessed 8x8 (turned out to be 12x14). On learning this, the rep informed me the job was too small to send out someone to estimate, but they would provide an estimate if I sent in photos. Which I did. Ten days later, no estimate or even acknowledgement. It appears ROS feels smaller jobs are beneath their dignity, and deserve not even minimal attention. While I wish them well in their pursuit of only large, high-profit work, this is a poor way to treat potential customers. Another firm (Texas Backyard Living) sent out a rep the same day. He provided an estimate of $8K for the work. Make sure your job is much larger before wasting ROS' time. read more

I knew as soon as Wyatt contacted me that we wanted to work with him - he was the absolute nicest and most professional guy who had contacted us. Not only was he the best quote we got, he really endured a lot from our indecision and changing the dates he could start. We thought originally that we could build the fence ourselves (insert sardonic laughter here) and just wanted him to install poles and tear down our fence. As soon as Damien arrived and tore the fence down excruciatingly carefully HIMSELF and did such an amazing job, we soon realized we were insane to think we could build the rest ourselves and hired these guys to complete the build. I really appreciated Wyatt's patience while we went back and forth on different options and materials to fit our budget and I feel bad that we gave him such a runaround. But he was the epitome of professionalism and his brother Damien did an AMAZING job practically all on his own with he construction. Wyatt and his brother did a great job with our deck in our small backyard. I live in an urban townhome where access to the backyard is limited. They are very careful hailing material in and out of the house without making a single mark. My deck is about 20'x10' with cedar wood. They did it in two and half days with beautiful craft. The deck is strong and exactly what we imagined. I found them on TREX website as their preferred contractor, but we ended up doing a cedar deck which turned out just as great. These guys show up ready to work every day, are well prepared, and they work straight through until dark. They personally touch every board and every stone.
