We wanted to re-do the landscaping in our frontyard, Mainly replace aging bushes with golden and dwarf yaupon hollies along with some accent boulders. Guerrero's quote was reasonable. He also knew exactly where to get the plants and picked the right sized ones. He also individually selected the landscape boulders for us and we loved his selections. His team was on time and did a great job, and left no mess behind. I would hire him again for my next outdoor project. read more

Very responsive and got the job done! I had a rather urgent situation and they were at my house less than 24 hours later!

We met with this company over three weeks ago. We have an extensive landscaping and backyard kitchen project we're trying to get done at our new home in Rockwall. The meeting went really well, the professional seemed engaged and came up with some good ideas that we got excited about. He said he'd have a quote ready within the next few days. After that he started giving us the runaround. We heard the words, "I'll have the quote ready tonight," two or three times. A week and a half in, we called the front desk and they acted shocked that we still hadn't received the quote. Despite that, we still didn't get one. Eventually they completely ghosted us and stopped returning our calls. I guess they don't want our business. If you're trying to get an estimate, you may want to reconsider as you'll burn hours of your time meeting with them only to receive no follow up in the end. read more

I met Guerrero Landscaping through Yelp and Google Search. Alex the owner is super polite and I was desperately looking for someone to help make my front and back yard look amazing. Alex and his team were true professionals. The quality of their work speaks for itself and they acted fast! Very high quality flowers and Sod. My front yard and my backyard now looks amazing. I have been putting a lot of time in my home to have it ready for rental and with the work Alex has done, it just made my home look amazing!! I highly recommend Alex and Guerrero Landscaping. They know what they are doing and they take care of their customers with focus on QUALITY. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service from Guerrero Landscaping! They are professional, punctual, and at an excellent price point. They exceeded my expectations. Communication is clear, friendly, and responsive every step of the way. The crew is hardworking and respectful, leaving everything spotless once the job was done. I have recommended them to neighbors and they now handle most of our area. Joseph and his crew have my highest recommendation, they are certainly far superior to the larger companies we have had over the years. read more

Alex has done so much work for us! We had a retaining wall built, sod laid over our entire property, and will also extended our driveway. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and professional. We will keep his contact information for any future jobs that may come up in the future. Our neighbors keep complimenting on how nice the property looks now! read more

Despite a rocky start due to a miscommunication, Alex at Guerrero Landscape was proactive in reaching out and rectifying the issue. The technician was great and fixed three sprinklers and got my system up and running just in time for the summer. read more

Our side yard on a zero lot home is north/south facing and doesn't get enough sun. We had them install a subdrain, 2 rockbeds where grass won't grow, and pavers for our side yard along with replacing mulch on our trees. Service was done in 2 days and looks great. The only thing is a lot of debris from the home builder was pulled up while digging that wasn't cleaned up and communication was sometimes last minute, but otherwise everything looks great and was done with care. They made sure to work around sprinkler heads and lines through the yard. Overall, I would recommend and will likely be reaching out for more work in the future read more

Did not show up for the appointment time we had agreed upon and did not respond to any texts. I just wasted 1 hour of my time waiting.

We met with the owner to discuss our project, which involved installing a walkway from the driveway to the front door. Additionally, we wanted to add a row of stones and mortar to a long existing stone wall that borders the flowerbeds. Although the owner seemed disengaged during our conversation, he assured us that he would send a quote within two days. However, after a couple of follow-ups, the quote never arrived. We concluded that he was not a reliable contractor and decided to move on. read more

After getting quotes from several companies last week, we decided to go with Guerrero Landscaping, and I'm so glad we did. Their prices were competitive, and the quality of their work exceeded our expectations. Our new patio looks amazing, and we've received so many compliments from our neighbors. Excellent service from start to finish! read more

We've been using Guerrero Landscaping for our regular lawn maintenance, and they never disappoint. The team is reliable, friendly, and they always leave our yard looking pristine. I've recommended them to several friends, and they've all had great experiences too. Definitely the best landscaping service in Dallas! read more

Alex gave me a good price on installed sod through Yelp's chat. Very, very good communication during the bidding process, and we negotiated adding some tree trimming when he came out to my house before the work started. The group showed up and did exactly what we asked. Yard and trees look good. Only hiccup was City wouldn't pick up the big limbs (I thought they would), so they sat in the street for a few days until Alex could schedule a truck to come out. I have been burned by contractors before and was nervous that he was going to stop responding. But he answered my texts every time and was great with updates. When he promised me they would show up, they did and cleaned up the street. 10/10, would absolutely recommend, especially with how Alex handled the haul off issue. read more

Alex with Guerrero Landscape took very good care of us! We called him for what I would call a yard makeover. Our entire backyard was dirt, our front yard was just weeds (which overtook the front flowerbed), and we never found ourselves wanting to hangout outside. Alex had a crew come install a 9zone sprinkler system (with two spaghetti lines for flower pots), another crew come plow the yard and lay down sod (as well as install drainage lines to take the gutters underground and away from the house), and another crew install the patio (with stepping stones for a walkway through the fence gate). All of it was seamless. Alex came by periodically to inspect the work, he was very responsive and even helped us by presenting options through out each process. We love all of the work they did, and are looking to schedule more (plow and sod the front yard)! After a few bad experiences with other companies, we are very happy with the price and service from Guerrero Landscape. read more

Alex has been an absolute pleasure to work with! We have had issues with drainage at our home since we moved in a few years ago, even after we had a french drain put in by another company. The french drain, unfortunately, did not cut it, and did very little for our drainage woes. Enter Alex. He was extremely knowledgeable and his pricing was incredible compared to several other bids that I received. Of course, I was a little concerned by this, but I took a leap of faith and Alex more than delivered! His guys were extremely hard working and went above and beyond to get our yard in top shape. They even went outside of the beyond the expected scope and repaired our entire irrigation system, as well as cleaned up and put fresh mulch in our flower beds and around our trees. As an alternative to a traditional french drain, Alex recommended a sump pump to extract the excess water from the yard, as our home is situated above underground springs that prevent natural drainage from being very effective. I am extremely happy with this choice as I was doubtful that another natural drain would do the trick. His crew also found a leak in our sprinkler system that we have apparently had for over 2 years! The leak was directly underneath our AC units, so a previous irrigation company that had come out was unable to locate it and said that it was due to the house's main plumbing. They repaired this leak, replaced the backflow valve, and replaced the control panel for our sprinkler system and it's working like new! They also replaced a failed retaining wall for me with a beautiful new stone wall, and then they leveled the top tier of my yard which will allow me to put up a swing set in the future. I honestly could not be happier with Alex, and recommend him for anyone needing work done on their home. read more

Buyer beware - company under new ownership. Not the great customer service the company was known for under previous owner. Really rough experience getting sprinkler system. Guerrero came out to my house for an estimate, after looking things over and me explaining what I wanted done - he told me to text him my email and he would provide a quote. He never responded, even after a couple of follow up texts the following week. In addition, he had an arrogant attitude while dealing with me, acting like he would be doing me a favor if he took on the job. I would NOT RECOMMEND. read more

We are very pleased with the level of service and the final project performed by Guerrero! We had a small concrete patio removed and replaced with a much larger one. The old patio was broken up and removed in one day! Then a team came in and poured a new patio! The level of expertise was great and the price was reasonable. read more

Not very impressed. Sent in my work details and was told I'd hear back from several companies about my project. Heard back right away from these guys, received several emails and text messages letting me know my project was on their schedule and what time I needed to be home for them to come by. Got a call from them 5 minutes after I was expecting them telling me that they (just now apparently) looked over the details of my job and that they don't actually do that kind of work. Would have been nice to have known that a couple weeks ago so I could have been contacting the other companies and not been sitting at home waiting for someone who was never going to show up. read more

Most unprofessional experience I've had with a company in years. Thankfully it was brief. Called about a basic but sizable (I'd estimate $30K - $50K). No unique design work, plant materials or challenges with the project. Meeting scheduled for the following day (Thursday) at the property through the answering service that picked up the call. 30 minute drive to the property the following day and at the scheduled meeting time I get a call from the answering service that due to a medical emergency they needed to reschedule. More important and completely understandable so we reschedule for Monday. Received a text 1 hr before meeting confirming time / address and responded affirmatively. Another 30 minute drive to the property and receive another text at the meeting time that they aren't interested in the project but please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything they can help with in the future. I replied "absolutely ridiculous". Got a reply that a "specialist" reviews appointments 1 hr prior to meeting and had determined they didn't do this type of work. It's basic landscaping! They claim to "take care of everything" from design, maintenance, irrigation & sprinklers, trees, plants, beds, etc. Don't waste your time, there are too many other good options out there - they don't do what they say and are obviously not who they claim. read more

Guerrero Landscaping (Alex & Romero's team) is exceptional and this is evident from the work and beauty of the walkway they created. This evaluation is also evident from: -competitive quote -open dialogue with my family as to the project phases and use of materials -options and choices, suggestions -superior workmanship and attention to detail -timeliness and completion The team consists of professional artisans in their respective craft who possess significant knowledge and experience. While they created a custom walkway for us, I would also recommend them for any outdoor masonry, stone, concrete work and landscaping. read more

We wholeheartedly recommend Alex/Guerrero Landscaping (in fact, we're repeat customers). Alex and his team did an amazing job with a full redo of our backyard. They were professional, courteous, easy to get along with, and did great work. We found his fees to be very reasonable and we appreciated his detailed estimate. Here is a list of why we recommend Alex. 1. Impeccable Design. Alex referred us to a landscape designer who did a phenomenal job with designing the project. The designer was reasonably priced and responsive to our feedback and edits. 2. Accurate Estimation. After he received our final plans, Alex provided a detailed line-by-line estimate. No other estimates were as detailed. 3. Phenomenal Crew. Alex's crew was professional, courteous, and they finished the project on time. They did a great job with a new retaining wall, new trees, new shrubs, an extension of our patio, new sprinkler zone, drainage, and a zone of artificial turf to support our new swing set. They had clearly done several of these projects in the past. 4. Changes. Alex and I agreed on several changes through the project (e.g., new sprinkler zone and some additional trees) and the final invoice accurately reflected those changes. We are all excited to enjoy our backyard. read more

The communication from this business is awful. I was ready to move forward with their work based on their reviews, photos and some of the communication. Once I mentioned I'd like to move forward with them they completely ghosted me. There's no clear path forward and I asked several times over the phone what's a clear path forward/next steps. I tired to follow up via text and phone call many times, nothing. It made me very hesitant on using them. From my experience/understanding there are no contracts or anything. Which makes things very hard when trying to hold contractors reliable. I don't know if they'd be quit half way through the job or something. I would be very hesitant to move forward with this "company". Such a bad experience with them, y'all be careful. read more

they were very nice and did a great job doing my yard. I highly recommend them because my yard was looking better than new.

I have went with his bid. Work yet to be started due to weather. Am expecting all to go well.

Emailed for a quote on 4/12, scheduled for the following Monday at 1, didn't bother showing up or responding back when I followed up.

Called to get an estimate for some work. Someone picked up and immediately asked if they could call me back. Never heard from them again.

This is an edited review. I was so happy with my landscaping in the front of my home in November. ecstatic! He was contact, easy to get call backs, everything was great. fast forward several months- I was pretty sure the frost killed the biggest tree that had been planted. I tried to get in touch with Alex- not for a refund- but for advice. The only thing he called me back to say was I can't refund you, and never came by for the advice I asked for. Turns out, when I pulled the tree out- it was in the shape of a pot- it wasn't even properly planted. Just now, I had to pull out 4 more plants- all just like they came out of pots. They were never planted correctly. If I'm lucky, the others have broken through being root bound in their pots, if not, every plant will die. 2 more are looking as if they are going to die soon. the best thing I can say is I'm not going to dig holes. read more

Alex came out to help us last Spring (March 2021). We needed a full overhaul of our half-broken sprinkler system, tile removed from a section of our backyard where it was half gone and chipped, and a new stamped concrete dining area and outdoor kitchen. He was very easy to work with and always made sure to clearly address our questions and concerns. We absolutely love our outdoor area and spend just about all our time out there. Thanks so much to Alex and his team for their great (and speedy) work! read more

We had to replace more than half of our front lawn due to a HOA note (eye roll). I put a request out and Alex was the first to respond. He was out at the house within the next 4 hours to measure and give an estimate, which was the best that I got. Two days later I texted Alex that we wanted to proceed and he was out the very next day. His workers were VERY thorough in removing all the dead grass, leveling the ground, putting in fresh top soil and laying really good quality sod. In the process, Alex's team found a few broken sprinkler heads which they replaced for free without being asked. The original amount of sod that Alex bought didn't cover the whole lawn but his team was out the very next morning and had the lawn finished before I even knew they had shown up. My experience with Guerrero was first class! I had multiple neighbors (who also got the same HOA notice) approach me and ask who did the work. I gladly recommended Alex and team and will continue to in the future! Thank you!! read more

Reached out to Alex about my broken gutter drain covers. Highly recommend Alex and his crew! This was my second time re-sodding my lot as the builder's sod was horrible and the company I used last year used poor quality st. Augustine grass. I am so glad I went with this company this time I really enjoyed working with Alex! From the start he helped me to design what I wanted done in the front and backyard and which grass and pebble to use. Extremely flexible as I changed my mind 3 times and he had to keep updating quotes then allowed me to have a flexible payment plan since it was such a large job. I couldn't have been more pleased with the result of switching from crappy st. augustine to the zoysia palisade he recommended and adding the rocks on the sides of the house which completely elevated the look of my home. My grass is SO green and luscious now it almost looks fake random people stop to compliment it all the time!! After installation the crew even came back to cut the yard and did an amazing job and he also provided points and tips for upkeep. I would recommend Guerrero Landscape to anyone needing a revamp as he saved our yard!!! THANK YOU ALEX!!! read more

This is not a review of the service - but a review of the management/operations. Note that if you read other 1 star reviews, this seems to be a pattern of unprofessionalism/poor management. I called Guerrero Landscape about 9 days ago. Explained I just purchased a house in the Argyle area and needed a bunch of work done. The man on the phone told me great, and that he could come out the following Monday to check things out and get an idea of what needs to be done. A week goes by, it's Monday - I text him in the morning to ask what time he will be stopping by. "Your house is out of my area" is the response I got. After he already confirmed he could service my house when we spoke the week before. Other folks on here have stated they never heard back at all, or they simply didn't show up... so... seems to be poor management overall. Be careful if you want something reliable and timely. read more
