The original movers I had scheduled called and cancelled on me last minute due to a conflict with their scheduling. I saw Robany Work Services advertise they handle last minute moves and called them late on a Friday to schedule a move the next morning. They're a small business and I'm so glad I went with them. So to start, I didn't even have a yelp account but I decided to make one just so I can leave this review. Isaac and his moving services with amazing!!! The whole time he and his partner was helping me move, I kept o thanking them for their services. I was searching every where for a small move and almost everyone I called had a minimum of 3 hours. So I have a couch, 3 drawers, and about 10 boxes to move 6 miles away. That's not going to take 3 hours. At last found Isaac's ad on Craigslist and gave it a shot. After he told me there wasn't a minimum on hours, he asked when I was planning on moving. At 4pm current time, I wanted to move my stuff ASAP! I said if not tomorrow anytime next week. He had another job at 10am and said he can do it at 7:30am and will only take about an hour. He gave me an awesome quote and I said lets do it. Fast forward the next day and he arrived at 7am and we finished the job with his 17 foot truck at around 8:30 am and he still kept the quote. Isaac is an amazing guy and his partner works really well with him. I told him that I will be calling him back in a month for another move. Ignore those bigger moving companies! And call Isaac! a happy accident. moving off the hill after 13 years was going to be a challenge. from a 4th floor with elevator, on a busy corner, to 2nd floor without, with big furniture, books and too much stuff. I actually had 2 highly rated movers refuse. one wouldn't take a 2 bedroom move and the other wouldn't come to cap hill because the neighbors complain and call the police. ya, probably, hence I am "over the hill". conversing with a friend about my dilemma ( ok bitching, i'm trying to be professional here) she related that her friends used a guy they were thrilled with and would use him again. so, with time drawing near, I was in and call Isaac. pretty informal, few words spoken, I didn't know what to expect, went on faith. he didn't even know where I was moving to (could have been Portland). what I got was an exceptionally polite, nice man and helper who literally knocked themselves out to do a great job. couldn't ask for more. 2 guys and a 17 ft truck, to do pretty much anything you need, cash, by the hour. definitely not a quote and insurance operation. he offered to take anything I didn't want to good will for no extra charge. I said really, why? he said because it helps people. bottom line, they did a great job. I wasn't moving the mona lisa but all my stuff got here in 1 piece and great shape. thanks Isaac. read more

So my experience was mixed. I will provide the bullet points, and you can make your own evaluation. 1. At $85/h+$40 travel fee they were cheaper than anyone else. +1 * 2. They were scheduled to start at 9, but showed up at 8:30 before I was ready without advanced notice. -1*. 3. They didn't use the furniture dolly to move boxes, so they took twice as long to load than they could have. -1*. 4. They didn't use their furniture pads, so my TV stand was scratched very badly. -1*. (This was such a easy thing to avoid). 5. They moved reasonable quickly. +1*. 6. They didn't respond to my email about my damaged TV stand. -1*. 7. They rounded up the amount I was charged at the end of the job rather than charging the actual total. -1*. Would I use them again? Maybe. I wouldn't let them move furniture that I couldn't replace easily if damaged for sure. The money I save in their hourly rate will now have to pay to replace what they damaged. read more

I've used movers many times. The only reason I didn't leave a 2 or 3 star was I agreed on 3 hours, it took 4 but was only charged for 3. For that Im happy. The crew was careful with our stuff loading our ABF Upack trailer for our 2 state move. The only part they could improve on is their sense of urgency. Maybe if Issac would have been present the crew would have gone faster. Plus they took A LOT of smoke breaks (yuck!) so when I get my stuff unloaded ill report back how it went and if anything got broken. read more

Isaac and his employees are really wonderful to work with. Flexible schedule, they come with the appropriate sized trucks and are always expeditious and efficient in their work. One of his staff was carrying my 150lb headboard with one hand like he was carrying a baby. Strong workers, honest and fair prices. We have now used Robany Work Services three times in moving my household, haul away services for post construction and when we were presented with a $180 delivery charge fee for our new bed, we knew right away that we would rather call Isaac. I was searching the Internet for a moving company to move some large items from my 1 bedroom apartment in Seattle to my new apartment north of Seattle. Robany came with very high recommendations from both our property manager and from yelp, so I was hopeful that our move would be made easy. Unfortunately, the team did not meet my expectations - they arrived 2 hours late, were difficult to communicate with, and slow. We hired Robany Work Services last week for about 2 hours. The price was very fair at $75/hour with a $40 one time transportation fee. You need to pay in cash and they don't have change...so get small bills. We just needed them to move the bigger furniture like our couches, table, and dressers. I was so pleased when I called to set an appointment and they told me they could come right then! It was high traffic time but they arrived within a little over an hour. Two guys came and they were quiet and polite. They went straight to work and brought blankets and plastic wrap to cover and protect our furniture. My boyfriend and cousin worked with them and it went quicker than I expected:) They brought their own truck that was clean and they really knew how to pack it so that everything fit! Overall, we had a great experience and would use them again! It made our move much more enjoyable:) read more
