We decided to hire movers last minute. It was summer, and it was hot. It was the last week of the month, and we called/emailed several other movers before RWS and they all booked. RWS was available and very easy to schedule (all through phone/texting). They didn't require anything upfront and were incredibly transparent about the cost! They told me they would charge extra fee if they were outside their service zone 30 min or more away. We hired two movers for two hours (thought we really should've hired more with the amount of things we had). Because we had so much stuff, we ended up paying for 4 hours, and it was a bad call on our end. Isaac and Abraham arrived as promised -- late though because they accidentally showed up at the wrong address, but it was only 30 minutes, and we didn't have anything planned that day. They didn't seem to have professional training, but they worked hard! Our stuff was moved in the apartment in the condition it was in before we packed it up. Nothing was broken or scratched. My mover was Masshoud. He broke items during my move and the company refuses to replace them or repay me for them as promised. They stopped answering my calls. Prior to this they were giving me the runaround for weeks after the move was completed. Both the owner (Issac) and the manager (the owner's daughter - Rokhya) are super unprofessional and I would avoid using them at all costs. However, if you are desperate, have a last minute emergency, or don't care about your belongings -- go for it. read more

After my original movers "no call, no showed" the day of the move, I found Robany Work Services at the last minute. These guys were hard-working, careful with the more fragile furniture pieces, and time conscientious. They took minimal breaks, maintained great communication en-route to our new home, and were very professional, despite stressful circumstances (tighter time frame than initially expected). Communication could be slightly tricky sometime (I don't think English was their first language), but all-in-all they but effort into understanding specific instructions and asked questions to clarify anything that needed it. Robany work services came to the rescue when our original movers flaked on us, and thank goodness!! We were so stressed trying to rally friends at the last minute, and I was calling and texting to find anyone that could be available, with a box truck, to come out within the hour! Fortunately, I got a text back from these guys saying they could send someone out to be there in 30 minutes! They arrived with all the tools necessary to move our 2 bedroom apartment quickly and efficiently. The men were a bit standoffish as it appears they weren't entirely fluent in English. I booked Isaac and his team based off of the Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience and will not book with him again. If I really wanted to get into detail, this review would be several paragraphs long and I simply do not have time for that. Isaac's team was OVER 2 hours late for my move and the communication around the delay was terrible. After waiting for 2 hours, I finally gave up and left my storage unit to go home and frantically find another company who could help me that day or the following day. Then, Isaac calls me saying the movers were there, at the storage unit, waiting for me. Really? I was very skeptical and 100% believed I was getting scammed. Sure enough, I drove all the way back to where I was supposed to meet them and they were indeed there. The reason why I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Isaac's gracious manner once we finally met. He was apologetic and was very quick. read more

Isaac and his brother Ladgi are from West Africa. I think Isaac has been here about 8 years and his brother 3. They are wonderful hard working immigrants who make this country what it is. They are very responsible and hard working. They do more than what you ask and charge very reasonable rates. And they are fast. They did my move on the day I called them. Isaac and Sam helped us move out of our small apartment in Ballard into a similarly small apartment closer to downtown. They were very friendly and incredibly helpful, having all of the necessary equipment to get the job done. Even though we only needed an extra set of hands, they would have been more than happy to move everything by themselves. We were happy to have them as helpers, and it felt more like we were having a couple of friends help us move rather than the average heads-down moving company. Beware of irresponsible and inefficient people. They scratched my leather sofa despite of bubble wrap and cover sheet. Secondly, they came late at 2:30PM instead of 1PM scheduled time. Thirdly, one of the helper was hell tired and was in lot of pain. I myself had to help the 1st helper (Isaac) in picking up the heavy sofa which by the way was already scrapped from exit door while the tired guy was attempting to be of any help. In fact, both of them were walking and picking up the stuff at the pace as if they were Zombies. Straight away I called up the manager asking that this is the scenario and I won't be able to pay beyond 3 hours which by the job should have been completed well under that time. Not only they came late but we had to pay for extra time due to hitting evening Friday traffic which was the first reason why it was scheduled at 1PM. After completing the job, one of the helper understood the situation but the other person was adamant and said I have to pay the other person and can't do anything. He even denied that he caused our sofa to scrap at this point while he had already apologized for it and was kind of ignoring it. I haven't heard back from management after they took money from me. I had texted them twice stating the issue and hence I've to write this on Yelp. read more

This company is the greatest moving company I have used thus far. The gentlmen were on time, courteous, and got the job done quickly. I was able to explain what I wanted moved, gave him the new address and they met me there. I did not have to stay and watch them and all of my items arrived. In the past I have used furniture company's who damaged my belongings and not brought all of my things but not this company; they were quick and efficient.
