They've always been nice at the window upon ordering with no issues there. The turnaround to receive your food has been pretty quick. But for me the food is bland and lacking. I do wish I liked it more because the amount of food you get for the price is a plus with their portion sizes. I know that's more important for a lot of people. Hey, the food isn't bad. I'm sure it fills a void for plenty of people out on the go, but it's would prefer better quality with less of their portion size to offset it. Thank you thank you though. Seating is limited and booths only hold two people so if you're with a group, prepare to split up or take your food elsewhere to eat. Nothing is labeled and there are no menus, just a menu board up on the wall. I was not very adventurous on my first trip, but ordered yellow rice and beans with 1/4 rotisserie chicken. I also ordered one of those fried mashed potato balls with meat inside. No idea what it's called but I've always loved them. Another coworker also ordered the chicken, one got spare ribs, and one just got rice, beans and plantains. I really wish I had gotten some plantains!!!! My food was reasonable at $8.95 for the meal, the mashed potato ball and a bottle of water. I definitely have enough leftover for another meal. The chicken was moist inside but the skin was crispy. Perfect! The yellow rice and beans were fabulous. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch because you don't have to wait long. I will definitely be back to try some of the other meats and the bacalaitos...curious to see how they compare to my Italian grandmother's codfish fritters that she makes every Christmas!!

I've had a frustratingly inconsistent experience at this bakery. The menu simply lists "cheese" on…read morecertain sandwiches, without specifying what kind--no mention of yellow or white cheese. However, depending on the day (or who's working), I've been given completely different answers when asking for white cheese. Some visits, they've added white cheese without any issue. Other times, I've been told they "can't deviate from the menu." That would make sense if the menu actually specified a type of cheese--but it doesn't. If the menu is meant to be strict, then it should be clear and consistent. I'm not asking for a custom creation--just clarity and consistency. Either specify the type of cheese on the menu or allow a reasonable choice if it's not defined. Right now, it feels arbitrary, and that makes the experience disappointing.

The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated. They played Latin music in the background and even had a DJ with salsa lessons that started around 9:30pm. For food we ordered bacalaitos for the appetizer, they were smaller than traditional bacalaitos, but it was perfect for a starter & was surprisingly not too greasy. I had the Costilla de Res (short ribs) & risotto. The short ribs were very tender, falling off the bone, & full of flavor. The risotto was so smooth and cheesy it was delicious. My husband ordered the Mofongo with bistec encebollado. He said it was flavorful & the meat was tender. Overall there was great service, the vibes were on point, the food was delicious, & the drinks were great too. Only downside, I wish they were located closer to me lol. But we will definitely be back again. I'm really hoping they stay around for the long haul. I've always said CT needs their own "Don Coqui" just like NYC... & I'm really hoping this is it!

I truly hope this food truck takes this to heart and starts offering quality, well-made food instead of the "it'll do in a pinch" stuff that I've experienced every time.
