2.5.26 I've been here a handful of times for the past 4 in a half years, and it's been good and it's been meh. It's a tiny take out/pick up only spot with some tables outside in front of the small building. The portions are off good size but in my opinion, the quality is lacking. They've always been nice at the window upon ordering with no issues there. The turnaround to receive your food has been pretty quick. But for me the food is bland and lacking. I do wish I liked it more because the amount of food you get for the price is a plus with their portion sizes. I know that's more important for a lot of people. Hey, the food isn't bad. I'm sure it fills a void for plenty of people out on the go, but it's would prefer better quality with less of their portion size to offset it. Thank you thank you though. Cute little place! Didn't realize it was a walk up window and I tried to go in haha! But prices were really affordable, takes a little while as they make it fresh while you wait. The food is affordable and delicious! Ive tried the chicharon de cendo with rice and the pernil! Also had empanada, a little oily but delicious. The staff are all friendly. Although, sometimes there is a wait so order ahead. All the seats are outdoors- not advisable when it's cold outside. The best between spring and early fall. read more

I've been wanting to visit here but is a 30 minute drive from me. I finally got a chance after being in the area. The location had good parking, the restaurant is small hence why they only offer outdoor dining. We ate outside thankfully the weather was nice. The young man took our orders, my husband had 2 beef pastelillos and one shrimp pastelillo. I had the pernil with green bananas. The food tasted really good. I was taking a walk and I found this hidden gem. I just moved back to Bristol from Florida and was really missing good Spanish food. I wanted to order everything on the menu because it was all familiar and is so delicious. I ordered the empanadas - - carne, chicken, and cheese. They were so delicious. You know everything was made in the restaurant. Upon returning home I had to try those wonderful empanadas. I tried all three and my favorite was the beef. As I'm new to the area, I'm constantly looking for new eateries to supplant those I left behind. As I'm a Latino, one of the cuisines I'm interested to discover locally is my own. So you can imagine my enthusiasm when I came across this establishment on Yelp. Latin Cravings is located on a corner and has much curb appeal. There is a parking area to the rear, but as I did not see any notice of it being accessible by patrons, I chose to park on the street instead, which is no inconvenience as the street was relatively empty. This restaurant is a walk up and only provides outdoor dining or takeout, so weather is a factor. As far as the food is concerned, this place should be called Latin Cravings for Seasonings! I ordered the pernil and arroz con gandules, relleno de papa, sorullito and a parcha drink. Sadly, I was disappointed as the rice was mushy and tasteless and the pernil tasted only of ground oregano. The relleno de papa was bland and I needed to add some Frank's Red Hot sauce to get it down. The sorullito was the best item, with a crispy exterior and soft cornmeal interior with cheese, although I couldn't taste the cheese at all. Finally, the parcha (passion fruit) drink was too sugary for my liking. I wish the experience would've been more positive as I really was looking forward to some comfort food but this place definitely wasn't it. read more

If you want spice or taste you have to travel in ward or to a city to find that eclectic authentic taste . For me, the hours are tough to work around, but when the stars align and they're open at the same time i'm craving their food- it is *chefs kiss* Authentic Spanish food just minutes from my house is a beautiful thing. It's hard to find REAL Spanish food anywhere in this area outside of Waterbury, so this is a treat. We ordered basically a shmorgishborg, pernil con arroz, some tacos (out of curiosity) and a Cubano sandwich. everything was AMAZING & the employees are so nice! I've been back several times since my 1st review. I have to admit, I'm in love with this place. Everything we have tried has been excellent, our personal favorite is the Cubano sandwich -- it is simply fantastic ! The fish & chips are very good, the fried chicken over rice is extremely tasty, and the empanadas are some of the best I've had anywhere. Prices are pretty cheap and they offer samples if you're unsure of what you'd like to eat. I haven't had anything mediocre here. All of it, pure love and deliciousness! Cheap spanish food for the downtown Bristol area, although depending on when you get there you may end up having to wait 25-40 minutes. However as I am a local I do not mind the wait time for an absolute gem of a location in Bristol. the Kitchen staff are always polite, bilingual and are easy going guys. Bueno, Bonito y Barato! Amazing food at great prices! I always get the pernil lunch special and I just love their rice and beans. Everything is homemade and is insanely authentic. Their homemade hot sauce is so addicting and is a perfect addition to any dish. I wish they sold it by the bottle. Fast and friendly service every single time and I don't know how, but the food seems to get better and better each time I go. They truly are food artists-you can see that the meats and verduras that they get are hand picked for best quality. Get anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. I love that its a hole in the wall spot with just outdoor dining only. Its a quaint little spot and being so close to my job is dangerous. Today was my first Latin Cravings experience and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I explained to the owner that I'd never been there before and was very excited to try his cuisine. He asked me if I liked pork and when I said yes, he disappeared and came back a few minutes later with a couple pieces of fried pork that were absolutely mouthwatering! One of my coworkers recommended this place, so we went for lunch the other day. I was very happy with my meal and I can't wait to go back! In my group of three, we ordered some combination of the chicharrones (fried pork skin/fat served with rice and beans), Cubano sandwich, and rellenos de papa (basically fried potato balls with seasoned meat inside). Everything I ate was very tasty (in particular the rellenos de papa), and washing it down with Kola Champagne soda was the perfect accompaniment. Located on North Main Street, it is right near Town Hall and the Police Station, with plenty of on-street parking and other lots nearby, but no lot attached to the restaurant. A heads up - there is no (or VERY limited) ability to eat inside, but there are several tables outside. It looked like some people had ordered ahead and were picking their food up to go, which is definitely good to know if you're pressed for time on your lunch at work. I look forward to trying more things on the menu, as they also have pork shoulder, roasted chicken, tacos, empanadas, and more. I will be back! read more

Good food but as far as the man who ownes the place not at all a nice person. The wife is nice though. I went in to buy food and he laughed at me for having a 50 dollar bill. And wouldn't serve me and made me feel really insecure he was making jokes about the 50 in front of other customers at the time behind me. It should be a comfortable place to be to get some ethnic food but instead that's what I got. It's too bad too. Plus a little too expensive for the amount of food you get. read more

I can't wait to go back. They have tacos better than any in the area. I used to go out of town to get authentic tacos but not anymore. The owner is super friendly and goes above and beyond in helping you decide what to order and even offers you samples. The food takes less than 10 minutes to be ready (I ordered a lot of food) which is really convenient. Just writing this makes me want to go back again. Damnit. I just wish they would expand into having an indoor seating area. I'm sure when it warms up it will be better to sit at the picnic tables. But in the cooler temps everything you order has to be to go. Also it gets tight while you're waiting for your food because the customers are coming in one after another.
