Best, most authentic Latin food around for miles. If you haven't tried it you're definitely missing something. I typically get the fried pork over rice. Today I got a treat and had a steak quesadilla as well. The flavors are tremendous. This is real food not some fast food drivel.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but sure won't disappoint. The man that works inside is so friendly.

Ambiance, food, service... all exceeded expectations even on a very very busy Valentine's Day! The…read moreapps, tuna, calamari, burrata grilled cheese (you *must* order this!), and crispy Brussel sprouts were presented in such a beautiful way and were delicious. We shared the seafood paella; they make it to order so i was able to ask for no octopus and mussels, and have more shrimp and fish. It was outstanding and so were our cocktails. This is a new favorite restaurant for me. A note of warning: this is an expensive restaurant... the bill for 2 of us was $200, but that is with four $15 cocktails. My apologies... i was too distracted to remember to take photos, but I do plan to return and will do better next time.

Boqueria in West Hartford is an absolute gem. My wife and I came in ready to explore tapas, and…read moreevery single dish we tried was seriously delicious. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced, but the standout for me was the steak and the chorizo toast, both were incredible and honestly worth the visit all on their own. What really made the experience next-level, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel taken care of from start to finish. Even when there was a slight delay, the manager stepped in immediately and made sure everything stayed smooth, professional, and high-quality. That kind of leadership and care makes a huge difference. Boqueria isn't just a "special occasion" place, it's the kind of restaurant you come back to because you want to try something new, share great food, and leave happy. We'll absolutely be returning, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing tapas experience in West Hartford.

What a wonderful spot this is!! This used to be the Rosa Vega Bakery, but the owner of the original…read morebakery, Chamo Vega, along with his wife Arlene Gonzalez, moved the business to a bigger location to better accommodate families. It's easy to find -- right on Main Street at Water Street, plus it's easy to park on the street nearby, and you can usually find a table pretty quickly! Either Chamo, or Arlene, are usually there to greet you with their very welcoming personalities, and the staff is very accommodating as well. Chamo and Arlene are there to make your visit a very enjoyable experience!! Now the food is amazing! My personal favorite dish is the steak, peppers and onions, including rice and beans which I had, and there are many other Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian favorites on the menu that you do not want to miss! They also have amazing desserts too which you can eat there or you may wish to purchase at the counter to take home. They have a lot of walk-in traffic like the former Rosa Vega bakery before it! Another specialty that I like are the homemade empanadas! The empanadas are made in house. (They are made by Chamo's Mother! BTW, If you get a chance, and if it's available, try his Mother's amazing home made chicken noodle soup -- like nothing you've tried before!!) Sodas wine and beer are also available including some Latin specialty sodas. I have already been back a few times, and you'll likely want to go back as well! I highly recommend the Vegas Restaurant!

The buffet offerings is a long line of dishes, so long that there's no way to see everything they have to offer before making a decision. I was only able to capture a small portion on video because I was being crowded by other ppl. There's definitely no time to ask questions and there are no labels saying what the various dishes were. Then when I thought it was my turn, the rude lady started helping the woman after me. Others were helping the ones that chose to not stand and wait but rather just walk up. When a young lady took pity and helped me, I just ordered the chicken soup because I was over the whole chaotic situation. If I wasn't so hungry I would have just left. Then waiting to pay I saw my love, Pernil, at the front of the line near the register. I would have loved to try it but knew I wouldn't get help plus I was over this place. My friend was over it too and just didn't order anything. Soup came with rice. It was fine but nothing to make me come back. My food was automatically packed to go, but I sat at a booth to eat. There are enough booths and tables there to eat, but I don't think they offer table service, at least on this day they didn't seem to. I just didn't enjoy the vibe here. Some of the workers are intense, rude, and clearly dont like their job. I like good customer service and I hate being rushed but the culture here just is what it is.
