Today was the second time we visited ROB's kitchen! It was a beautiful morning, so we sat outside and enjoyed our wings and breakfast! The servers were very attentive and kept checking in with us. We always appreciate good service and we will definitely be back!

This place is just the best. The secret mexican menu is fire and the food is always good. Never a bad meal. The weekly specials and the empanadas you can't miss. Please get the breakfast total, you will not be disappointed. Service is pretty good too.

I stopped by on a Monday Morning, food came out lightning fast. The overall flavor was good, but the French Toast was the Highlight for sure. Perfection! Service was good. Small interior with nice seats.

Yummy breakfast. Plenty of options, from hearty to light. Can't go wrong, prices are fair!

We traveled west across the Connecticut river to try Robs in Plainville for breakfast. It's a solid 4 and for locals, I'm sure a go to place for folks there. If you happen to be driving by- try it. To come a distance specifically for a meal there- not really worth the drive. Small, clean place. Server/workers there really nice & friendly. Good coffee ( that's important to me as I don't drink much coffee & when I have it, I want it to be good). Very reasonable prices. My husband had scrambled eggs (portion was 2 eggs I think). I had a cheese omelette (2 eggs too?) Both ok/good. They have a 'secret' menu featuring Mexican specialities. Glad we tried Robs, however we will leave it to the locals to go there going forward.

Our breakfast today was amazing. The morning was cool but warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Our server, Maggie, came right over and greeted us. She was friendly and enthusiastic. More importantly, she was prompt and efficient. She timed her visits perfectly and took our drink orders and delivered them quickly. Our orders were taken and brought out amazingly fast. Everything we had on the table was excellent without exception. The three orders of crepes were stuffed, the fruit cups were fresh and overflowing. My omelet was perfect. The corned beef hash inside was done just right and the potatoes were crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. My granddaughter summed it up after we left. She said, "We must come here again. Soon." We'll be back. Soon.

Early Bird #3 with French Toast, eggs, Bacon, & coffee 8.95

*They make their own chorizo -- let's open with that (I'll return later in the write up).. What a gem! Just discovered this place with a friend last week and had to bring my spouse there a few days later. I would have expected lines out the door and crazy wait times, but for my two visits, the place was full and people just kept moving. We had no trouble getting seated right away, even in the weekend. It was rainy for my first visit (on a weekend) so everyone was indoors, but the second visit allowed us to choose indoors or outdoors (great weather for second visit/weekday). It all starts with the people-- we were greeted with a huge smile and the server each time was helpful as we sought to navigate the many choices and specials. Visit #1 was simple-- I went for the early bird #3 which featured (for me) French toast, eggs, bacon, and coffee for 8:95 all in. Who could go wrong? We were served quickly and everything was as ordered. Classic breakfast. Visit number two was where the chorizo comes into play. Rob's Kitchen has multiple offerings that feature chorizo. For our visit, we went for the Route 10 Special -- and omelet starring the chorizo. Flavorful without being too spicy. The salsa did have a little kick to it, though. We are already looking forward to returning and exploring the menu even more. Great food and service at a reasonable price. A place you will want to return to over and over.

Rob's Hash & Eggs, wonderful breakfast potatoes and rye toast!!! All perfectly executed!

Great little breakfast spot. Tiny place with not a ton of seating so come early to avoid the wait!

(Being in the industry, I know there are always links, even w/ the best) The good- super friendly, large space, clean and big menu. The sampler platter was ok... corn fritter was a song.. The bad- I ordered take out via phone, was told 30 min. I showed up in 30 to find out they never put my order in. They offered me a beverage on the house which is great, but still sucks that I had to wait another 30 min. The ugly. The Cuban is not a Cuban, it was served on a plantain instead of bread, which had this been written on the menu, I would have skipped it. There was also no mustard on it. Thankfully I had some mustard and I removed the plantain to eat with a knife and fork. The other sandwich said it was chicken w/ sweet plantain, lettuce and tomato. It was very under-seasoned and again on plantains.. not a sandwich w/plantains. The fries were soggy at best. I really wanted to like this but I think they need to work out the rest of their issues. I would consider trying entrees but disappointed in tonight's selections

When we were arrived we were immediately greeted & decided to sit at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive even though there were several large parties in the dining room. The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated. They played Latin music in the background and even had a DJ with salsa lessons that started around 9:30pm. For food we ordered bacalaitos for the appetizer, they were smaller than traditional bacalaitos, but it was perfect for a starter & was surprisingly not too greasy. I had the Costilla de Res (short ribs) & risotto. The short ribs were very tender, falling off the bone, & full of flavor. The risotto was so smooth and cheesy it was delicious. My husband ordered the Mofongo with bistec encebollado. He said it was flavorful & the meat was tender. Overall there was great service, the vibes were on point, the food was delicious, & the drinks were great too. Only downside, I wish they were located closer to me lol. But we will definitely be back again. I'm really hoping they stay around for the long haul. I've always said CT needs their own "Don Coqui" just like NYC... & I'm really hoping this is it!
