I am so glad I finally got to visit Cava ! I was nervous since there are so many controversial reviews however I am so glad I decided to try it myself ! The Aladdin theme was AMAZING ! A beautiful night under the stars ! The welcome host was sweet and even was able to let me sit inside ( after I had originally reserved outdoor seating ) even Our waitress was super sweet she came quickly got our drink and food orders , told us the specials and made sure we had everything we needed . To start we ordered the genie wish and the royal rose served over dry ice ! Presentation on point .. however the drink itself was okay . The house bread was really good super soft and fresh. While we aired for our entrees we explore all the restaurant looking at all the decor ( 10/10 ) and went to the rooftop where it was mamma Mia themed and one of the waitress was so nice and took a picture of us with the decor ! For my entree I got the chicken parm , the portions were large , and the food was good in my opinion ( not the best I've had but definitely not the worst ) What I loved the most was for desert the server came over with a whole tray of deserts and we can choose which to order ! Which was great ! We chose the amaretto cheesecake and it was amazing!! And normally I don't like cheesecake but this was sooo delicious!!! Highly recommend And to finish it off they offered a small Dubai chocolate shot to end the night ! Which was the perfect way to end the night ! We have come here once before for the beauty and beast theme 1.5 years ago and both my kids had a wonderful time. My family came here recently during the first week of Aladdin theme and the kids were over-the-moon happy. They couldn't stay seated too long because they wanted to explore anf take pictures of the Aladdin decorations which was so thoughtfully layedout with so much detail. Brittany was our waitress and she was amazing as a server and a photographer! She helped my family take many pictures during our short stay here. I believe if you are a family of 4, you ca. stay for 2 hours. We stayed the whole 2 hours and did not feel pressure to leave. Note that even if you have younger kids (I have a 4 and 7 year old) you will have to order entree per person even if your kids dont eat that much. Consider it an admission fee which I still think is worthwhile. We live in NYC and we drove here just for this restaurant. The food however isnt the best but it isnt bad neither. So for the food I would rate it 3, maybe 3.5 stars. The decoration was phenomenal so that's an easy 5 star. I would come back here before they take down the Aladdin theme which I was told might be up for about 8-10 months? Alright, people, I'm gonna try my hardest to bump up the ratings here, because I was shocked to see how low it was. I had to do a double take to make sure I am reviewing the correct Cava, because the low star reviews do not match my experience AT ALL. I had a SPECTACULAR dining experience here. Loved everything about it. The food was just so good. Service was perfect. We had the charcuterie, the chilled lobster claws (with a side of clarified butter that our server happily brought out upon request), the lobster ravioli, and the beet salad, which was absolutely delicious, served with a truffle seasoning. Our server also brought us a complimentary dessert which was like a chocolate hazelnut cannoli. Yummmmmm. Look at the photo of the dessert tray- there was a rhubarb creme brûlée and a pineapple upside down cake that made my mouth water. I was so full. I need to come back and try all the things I didn't try this time. The food itself was perfect and I have not even described the decor yet. The Aladdin theme was incredible. No detail was left out and I felt like I was actually in a souk. It was so cute and authentic. I can't believe how much thought and love was put into this display. It covered SEVERAL rooms. The hostess greeted me and congratulated me; which was such a warm welcome. Our server was very informative about the decor to the food and drinks. The food comes out too fast since they want to rush you out. You are allotted 90 minutes for a table for 2, however in spite of asking to not have our food rushed, our entrees came out on the heels of our salads, and only 23 minutes after we sat down. So I kept that bland uneaten bowl of bolognese in front of me for another 67 minutes and revenge lingered for the full 90 minute allotment. $125 for lunch without alcohol, and the decorations aren't even as good as they used to be. I struggle with this review because if we are judging on food only then the masses are correct, it's underwhelming for the high price point they are asking for. To be more fair and food aside, the staff were great and quick to seat us. Our server was so sweet and our drinks and apps came out pretty quick. Our entrees were very delayed and tables were being served left and right before our entrees came out. I can't really blame her for that. It could have been a kitchen problem. The rooms are very beautifully decorated through the entire restaurant. The place is so big and you can't really walk around to see everything but you can tell they put a lot of details into each room. My husband planned this as a complete surprise for our 39th wedding anniversary. I had no idea where we were going until we pulled into the parking lot. In the back of my mind, I remembered reading some mixed reviews and hoped everything would live up to the occasion. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. The Aladdin-themed setting was amazing. As we walked through several beautifully decorated areas to reach our table, the attention to detail was impressive. We were seated in a private alcove just off the main dining room, next to a cave filled with sparkling jewels. It was incredibly romantic and perfect for celebrating our anniversary. The summer menu was available by scanning a QR code on your phone. I'm not sure if printed menus are available upon request. Since it was a special occasion, we ordered the Genie Wish and Royal Rose cocktails, both served over dry ice. The presentation was a lot of fun--the drinks were poured from a genie lamp into glasses filled with dry ice, creating a magical effect. While the presentation was memorable, I expected the drinks to be a bit colder. You can choose between the complimentary house bread or garlic cheese bread for an additional charge. We opted for the house bread, which was served with seasoned olive oil for dipping. For our appetizer, we shared the calamari with cherry peppers and mango sauce. It was delicious! The calamari tasted fresh rather than frozen, and I appreciated that it was all tender rings with no tentacles. My husband ordered the Chicken Scarpariello--Frenched free-range half chicken with broccoli rabe, sweet Italian sausage, hot cherry peppers, roasted potatoes, and citrus herb pan jus. I chose the Atlantic cod with farro salad, julienned spring vegetables, citrus beurre blanc, and sweet potato crisps. Our waitress mentioned the cod was new to the menu and already very popular. Both entrées were generously portioned, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. At around $35 each, we felt they were reasonably priced for the quality. We don't usually order both an appetizer and dessert, but the dessert tray was impossible to resist. I chose the almond custard wrapped in flaky phyllo, while my husband enjoyed the strawberry crème brûlée. To top off the evening, our waitress surprised us with an Amaretto Baileys shot. We never mentioned it was our anniversary, and we noticed other tables receiving the same treat, which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately, I've forgotten our waitress's name, but she was attentive throughout the evening without ever making us feel rushed. She even took a picture of us and told us how to find the rooftop Mamma Mia-themed area after dinner. My child had the pasta and sauce which he loved and I instantly regretted my decision to get the NY Strip and lobster tail. The drinks were tasteless. I had a sangria, that was watered down. My wife had some special genie in a lamp that smoked when it was poured, great parlor trick. My son thought it was so cool that it smoked he ordered the mocktail version that he absolutely hated. I really enjoy seeing how they change things up every time; the decorations are never the same. They usually have the top bar open, which is heated and uniquely decorated each time, but unfortunately, it isn't open right now. They recently added an extension to the back of the building to provide more seating downstairs, likely due to their growing popularity. However, this place requires a reservation because of how busy it gets. The space is a bit tight, which makes it challenging to move between your seat and the restroom. Additionally, they definitely need more restroom space, as there are only two stalls for a lot of people. Despite these minor drawbacks, the service was great during my visit. Each room is finely decorated with a different holiday then and they have beauty and the beast music playing in the back as well. It was the best place you can ask for in taking pics and it was perfect for our team dinner. Our server was super friendly and made the best recommendations! We had the Mango Calamari for an app, Rigatoni with Vodka sauce and Chicken Parm with Spaghetti, for our meals. We both enjoyed our food and the portions were huge.
