We stopped in to try their steak sandwich. The place is spacious and clean. The young lady, Natalie, taking care of us at the counter was very helpful and sweet. We ordered the seasonal special Grilled peach & Burrata salad, the seasonal Filet Mignon sandwich and a Cubano. We also tried the seasonal watermelon lemonade. Wow that filet mignon sandwich was amazing. I will definitely be coming back

Always a 5 experience. Delicious food, friendly staff and a nice vibe for inside and outside dining. Love roast!

Heard good things about this sandwich spot in Babylon village. I had to try it. Brought the family and got two chicken vodka and one buffalo chicken. Now let's get to it: 1. Location - plenty of parking. Very clean and friendly. 2. Sandwiches - They were good but the pictures made them look bigger. 3. Time - From order to ready was 25 minutes. Tad long. Overall, I am interested in trying another sandwich from here.

Stopped by this roast sandwich shop for dinner, looking forward to trying their signature offerings after hearing some positive word-of-mouth recommendations. Food: 4/5 - Opted for the Nashville sandwich, which proved to be both tasty and well-prepared. The execution was solid with fresh ingredients throughout, and I appreciated the care taken in assembly. That said, I found myself wishing for some kind of garnish or side accompaniment to round out the meal experience. No digestion issues. NOTE: There were things you could buy extra like chips. Service: 2/5 - This was unfortunately where things were no so hot. The staff member barely managed a greeting when I arrived, setting a lackluster tone from the start. When I asked for menu suggestions, hoping to get some insider knowledge about their specialties, the response was mumbled and essentially useless. The person seemed genuinely disengaged, almost as if they were about to fall asleep on their feet. No follow-up service or check-in occurred during my visit. Ambiance: 3/5 - The space hits that middle-of-the-road sweet spot - nothing particularly offensive, but nothing that stands out either. It's perfectly adequate for what it is. I will say the air conditioning was working exceptionally well, which was much appreciated given the hot day. They position the soda fridge and takeout shelves in eye sight of the restaurant which seems to say, "We don't want to see you eat." Cleanliness: 3/5 - The main dining area appeared clean and well-maintained overall. However, the bathroom could use some attention and improvement. I also noticed the kitchen staff weren't wearing hats, which struck me as a basic food safety oversight worth mentioning. Parking/Accessibility: 2/5 - Not that easy. Street parking requires feeding a meters, and while there are some free lots in the nearby area, you'll need to factor in extra time to scout out a convenient spot. Value: 3/5 - For the price point, I expected something more complete. Even a simple addition like a small bag of chips would have enhanced the value proposition significantly. The sandwich quality was there, but the absence of any accompaniments left the meal feeling somewhat incomplete. Overall: 3/5 - This place lands squarely in decent territory. The food quality shows they know what they're doing in the kitchen, but the lackluster service and missing touches prevent it from reaching its potential. It's a reliable option when you need a solid sandwich, but the overall experience doesn't quite inspire a quick return visit.

YAY! This is what Babylon needs - a quick serve sammy spot perfect for lunch, great for kids and something a bit different than current offerings in the village. My friend and I came here with our kiddos today, on opening day. There was a good flow of people and they did a beautiful job of renovating the previous bagel shop. The interior is nice and open with ample seating. We opted for outside as it is a beautiful day and the inside was a little busy plus with strollers we didn't want to take up too much real estate inside on their first day! I ordered the eggplant caprese and they were happy to swap out the burrrata for regular mozz for me (whooohoo!) and I got the kids chicken tenders and fries for my daughter. They took our name and said they'd bring our order out to us. For the price ($15) the panini was large and stuffed with food. The eggplant had a great crisp to it and paired well with the arugula and tomato. Plus, the bread is homemade! A+ for that! It was very filling and honestly 1/2 was perfect for me. I saved the other half for my hubs who also thought it was delicious. My daughter didn't eat much of hers except for the fries, so I saved it for my older kid who demolished it when he got home from school. The fries were good (mom tax!) albeit a bit too salty. They also have chips for sale along with your sandwich choice and a case of drinks like Poppi and JustTea. You can tell the ingredients here are fresh, and the quality is good. I am confident that Roast will shine here in Babylon. Welcome to the village! Wish them all the best here.

I went to Roast Sandwich House for breakfast. I ordered the Roast Beef Melt and Country Fried Chicken. Both were really good. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. The roast beef was nice and melted. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The portions were big and fulfilling. I also liked the bread they use. It's freshly baked. The staff were friendly. This place is great for a quick bite. They definitely have really good sandwiches. I recommend trying them. It's a good spot for breakfast or lunch. There's seatings inside and it's nice and clean as well.

Recently opened spot in Babylon Village, specializing in Panini's wraps and sandwiches. Buffalo chicken Caesar wrap is a staple, but this time around I tried their Cubano, which I have to say was pretty damn good! It's not a big place to either take out or you can dine in but there's not a ton of seating but they do have open window seating and outdoor seating! Definitely recommend definitely enjoyed. Will definitely return to try something else on the menu.

    Crispy Buffalo Chicken Caesar Wrap

Sandwich was gross the buffalo Caesar wrap was a soggy wet mess chicken gross. Very disappointing, soup was gross too went in the garbage and and hate to waste food. Would never waste my money this bad again

The store has no life inside, it's depressing. The shelves have minimal products which are overpriced. The grab and go dinners only had 2 choices available, so sad. Store made frozen pasta is available. Fresh meat is available, looked good but expensive. Salted cod was $21 a pound, why? There's a full array of salads in the front showcase which showed some promise but too expensive. No other customers in the store and it was lunch time. The quiche we bought had plenty of cheese and tasted good heated up despite the bottom crust being underbaked. Upon looking at the receipt I noticed they charged a fee for using the card. When I questioned the higher amount on my receipt the manager, I believe, said the credit card company puts it on there. WRONG! It's up to the merchant to tell the credit card company and in NYS it is illegal to charge more for using a credit card unless info is posted with the credit card amount and the cash amount or there is a discount for cash. Check this out on the NYS Consumer Affairs web site and point it out to merchants who are illegally charging you this fee. Yes, the store is paying a fee for accepting credit cards but that is part of their overhead and the burden should not be placed on their customers. Just wondering if they write off that expense after collecting it from unwary customers. There is a $500 fine for each complaint.
