Great little find in the country. Stopped in for lunch last Saturday. Very clean and cozy. Allows smoking. 21 and over. Great burger and fries, cold beer, and friendly service. So glad we found this place. We'll be back!

We drive past this place every day but have never been inside. But we decided to go check them out yesterday for lunch. This is just a hole in the wall nothing much to see. Staff was friendly. Food is all homemade. They have cheap drinks and the food prices arent bad either. Yesterday was $2 domestic bottles so we had a few of those and a couple cocktails with Tito's vodka. They have a jukebox and an ATM if you need one. They accept credit cards too. They also have a pull tab machine. The place is old but clean. I had read something on here that said they allow smoking after 3pm and I am not sure about that but I did observe two men about to light up just as we were leaving around 4pm so they allow smoking at some point.

$9.95 rib eye dinner with 2 sides.

We had a group of 3 for an early Mother's Day dinner. We started off with a peach (or orange) martini and an old fashioned. The martini was fantastic. Old fashioned tasted like water. The spinach dip we shared was good and I would recommend it. All three of us ordered steaks, all medium rare. All three steaks came out over cooked - medium well at best. And the veggies (broccoli on one plate and green beans on another) were undercooked. I was most disappointed by the level of service we received. We hardly saw our server, and she never asked us if we wanted more drinks - which we would have happily ordered more to keep chatting away the evening. We had to flag her down even to get water refills. All three of us agreed that we didn't feel very welcome that evening. Again, maybe we just happened to go on a bad night, and would maybe try again for a better experience.

The space itself is what appears to be an old schoolhouse, and it's incredibly warm and welcoming inside. There's a great mix of seating on the first floor, including community seating near a fireplace, smaller tables, and larger tables for groups. I noticed there's also an upstairs area that I didn't explore, but even just the main level felt homey and comfortable. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to for getting out of the house to work, bringing a laptop, or even meeting friends for a casual coffee date. The vibe is very cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and kind. The menu is thoughtfully curated, not overwhelming, but still offers a nice variety of syrups and flavors. My only small wish is that there were more loose-leaf tea options beyond black and green tea, but that didn't take away from the experience. Overall, this was a fantastic visit and a café I'd happily return to.

And at least for the holiday season, the interior looks incredibly cozy and inviting. If you have nowhere to go for a few hours, it would be a nice place to hang out and chat with friends. However, the coffee is fine, not spectacular. And the wait on the Tuesday morning I stopped by was about 25 minutes. Maybe it was quicker in the drive thru, but then you'd miss out on the decorations. Overall, it's a cute enough place to stop by on a day off for a leisurely morning, but I don't know that I would make a special trip.

I love a good hot sauce on eggs and hash browns, so I decided to give it a try. I stopped in on a weekday morning, and it wasn't very busy. I was seated promptly at a booth, which was clean but I noticed the beverage menu was fairly grubby with spills and smudges. Definitely needed to be replaced. I ordered a combo with eggs over medium and hash browns. The server asked if I wanted my hash browns regular or extra crispy. I ordered them regular. My food was delivered very quickly, and I was pleased to see that my eggs were perfectly over medium. Too often my over medium eggs are either overcooked or undercooked but there were perfect. The hash browns were a nice golden brown, tasty, and very good around the edges but soft in the middle. I understand why some might order them extra crispy, which I would do next time. The hot sauce was indeed delicious and the sever mentioned that it was available for sale, only $5.99. Deal! I liked my food and loved the hot sauce, which perfectly complimented both the eggs and hash browns. I would return to try some of the other menu items. I also ordered cinnamon toast.

It was served warm and very fresh, with delicious cream cheese frosting. I ordered the Signature Egg Tart, and it was wonderful. I honestly wouldn't have changed anything except maybe adding a little salt, but that may just be personal preference. I also enjoyed a cold brew while we sat out on the patio. The only downside was the construction noise from the large apartment buildings going up around the patio. That is obviously not the restaurant's fault, but it is something to be aware of if you're planning to sit outside right now. The salad that came with the omelet was next-level, with a light, citrusy dressing that balanced everything perfectly. The waffles were incredibly airy, soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth good.... And wow, the bacon was so good we ended up ordering another side. Despite the restaurant being packed, service was friendly, efficient, and never felt rushed. My experience may be because I was part of a large group of ladies, the service was slow but friendly. It also seemed a bit chaotic. Everyone complained of the parking as well but I did not have that issue as I always get to where I am going early and I found it easy to park in the extra lot behind the building. Apparently there is a place across the street from the building where you can also park. We were there at 1pm so lunch was on the agenda. I decided to forgo a regular meal and just get the cake flight, after all they are a bakery and I should try their best! I ordered a regular iced tea (no sugar) to go along with my cake. The cake flight I chose was the C.J.'s Vanilla Almond Buttercream (Wedding Cake), Dorothy Blevin's Cake, and the Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream. It was a good choice for lunch although if I go back I will just get the cake that I really liked out of the 3. Maybe next time also I will try the chicken salad croissant and the chicken velvet soup. I think my experience will be better next time outside of a big group. My favorite cake of the 3 was the Dorothy Blevin's Cake as it was unique with a denser texture than the others and it had pecans, pineapple, and a caramel topping. I thought the almond cake was a bit cloyingly sweet and the almond tasted pretty artificial, the chocolate was not chocolate enough for me if that makes sense. Maybe needed to be a little darker chocolate and richer but if you are looking for something lighter that may be your thing. Overall I will go back and try this bakery/cafe again and hopefully will have a better experience and I will order a full lunch next time.
