I can't remove the pictures. These are from the LACafe in Whitestown and they're delicious! Roadside cafe...This was not a good experience. Ordered a drink from the bar, it was good. Waited for twenty minutes for the lady to bring the menus but she stayed behind the bar. When my husband paid the tab he looked into the kitchen and told me it's better we didn't get food. First, the inside smoking is strong. So, people with allergies or don't like smoke, get your food to go. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was certainly not the best one I've had. It was crispy and served with mayo, lettuce and tomato. The small town Indiana guy has it ranked wrong. It's more like a 5 little piggies. TL;DR Looking for a hole in the wall with good food and ice cold beer, look no further. Pull up on a beautiful day and sit outside on the patio. The inside reeks of cigarette smoke. Having lived in Westfield 20 years I have always wanted to try this place. We've heard good things about the food and bad things about the smell of smoke inside. If you're like me, in the 80% of non smokers in Indiana, this place will be off putting when you walk in. If you can make it through to the right hand side door to the patio you'll. be rewarded with good food, cold beer, at very reasonable prices. Pro Tip: Park on the west side next to the patio. Just let the bartender know you're outside. The inside and outside are nothing to look at; a criteria for a hole in the wall. Shelby was working the day we stopped in, and recommended the tenderloin, burgers, pizza, and wraps. They have quite the assortment of menu items. I went for the tenderloin and tots with a side of beer. I will preface this to say, I am not a tenderloin connoisseur. I just had my first tenderloin during COVID, ~2021, down in Edinburgh, IN which was fantastic, but three people could have shared it. I found this one to be just as good. I actually preferred this one due the smaller, single serving size. My wife ordered the Burger Wrap. Think a hamburger chopped up and rolled in a tortilla with lettuce, tomato and pickles with a side of Ruffles. She really enjoyed it. We'll be back as long as wether permits outdoor dining. Went here the other night for a couple drinks and some dinner with my son. The food was very good, but I have to say the service was lacking a little bit. I understand there is only one lady working so she had her hands full to say the least. I asked for a water two times and never got one and then we had to wait 15 plus minutes to pay our bill even though my son took the bill up to the counter to check out just to have someone wait on him . This place is insanely crazy in a fun way! The people working behind the bar are very local folks and are easy to converse with. Most people that go there are very genuine. We used the come weekly for the Chicken Fried Steak lunch special. It used to be very busy, not today in fact more people left without being served. I wished we had left too. Way too salty, cold green beans, 45 minutes to get our food. The old, smoky ambiance used to be quaint, now it just sucked. read more

We drive past this place every day but have never been inside. But we decided to go check them out yesterday for lunch. This is just a hole in the wall nothing much to see. Staff was friendly. Food is all homemade. They have cheap drinks and the food prices arent bad either. Yesterday was $2 domestic bottles so we had a few of those and a couple cocktails with Tito's vodka. They have a jukebox and an ATM if you need one. They accept credit cards too. They also have a pull tab machine. The place is old but clean. I had read something on here that said they allow smoking after 3pm and I am not sure about that but I did observe two men about to light up just as we were leaving around 4pm so they allow smoking at some point. read more

WOW!! This place is a local restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised how great the food was. We ate lunch there during the week. I had the fish sandwich and my wife had the quesadilla's. They were very tasty and very reasonably priced. Our waitress, Kim, was very nice and very attentive. Kim recommends the hamburger club sandwich and I will definitely order that on my next visit. Currently, it appears the locals frequent this place, but I am sure when the word spreads it will become even better. Give it a try. read more

So, the Roadside Café is a bit rough around the edges, which means it's not normally a place I would gravitate toward. We went there last Saturday mainly because it's about a mile from my house, and it was on the way to where we were headed (Zionsville). The first thing you notice when you walk through the door is the smell of cigarette smoke. It's been many years since I've smelled that in a restaurant, so it brought back lots of memories (most of them bad). The food quality was decent. I ordered the ribeye and eggs, with home fries. It was exactly what I expected, so no complaints there. However, it took an entire hour for our food to arrive. I know this, because I checked-in on Yelp as soon as we arrived, and it was exactly one hour later when our server finally brought food to our table. An hour. Sixty minutes. My theory is that the cook/chef showed up for work late, and then frantically started preparing everyone's order. I'm not sure, but either way, I doubt I'll be back, due to that huge delay and the lung cells I lost. read more

This little cafe will remind you of smoke filled taverns of the 1970s. No children allowed due to local alcohol restrictions and bar classification. This was our first visit. The sign out front welcomed race fans. Another sign said hiring a cook. The bartender was very cordial and happy to review his menu favorites. Ribeye steak dinner with 2 sides was only $9.95. My husband order the steak w potato and cole slaw side. He was told "Mama just made the cole slaw," by the bartender. I ordered the black and blue salad which also came with rib eye. We had bottled beer and house Chardonnay which was inexpensive. While we waited the locals bought lottery tickets from a machine in the corner and discussed what they would with the winnings. The bartender knew about 75 percent of the customers by name. Our food arrived fairly quickly. The salad was immense with chopped egg, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cheese and topped with the steak. The steak was delicious. My husband was also happy with his succulent 8 oz steak, baked potato and slaw. The bartender checked on us several times to make sure we were happy. Our bill was only $32. What a deal! The Eagletown Roadside Cafe is a great little town experience. Next time I will try the meatloaf special. read more

What a great place to have fun! Karaoke on Saturday night with Brian and Celia is an adventure! And the bartender, Chris, is The Best! There was an incident with an unruly patron, and before she could cause any trouble with anyone Chris quietly escorted her out without any drama. Its so sad that some people have to try to cause trouble, but it is so nice to have a bartender that removes the problem before it escalates. Thanks Chris! Roadside Rocks! read more

What a fun little find. It really is on the roadside. You almost feel like it should be a biker tavern think the ones you see in movies. I stopped in for lunch and was greeted by the owner with a warm hello. I have a thing for onion rings in place like this so I orders some up as an appetizer, they were obviously of the frozen verity, but totally fine. I splurged with my meal also and had the BLT. it was awesome and worth the drive. My friend had the daily special, which was steak and cheese sub. It appeared that they used nacho cheese... Which she said was strangely good. They did appear to have a full bar and some entertaining local enjoyed day beers with lunch. I considered partaking but decided I would go back for another meal in the evening and try the bar out then. Good times. read more

Wow, not sure where these reviews come from. Cafe? This is a rural dive bar for the 50-something farmer/truck driver crowd. Granted going on Friday night may have been a poor choice but come on... burgers & tenders with chips, yet! There are six "entrees", mainly (you guessed it) burgers & tenders with "sides" you know, like slaw. The place was about half full of well served, extremely loud patrons trying to shout over the way too loud music. Ceiling is also low which intensifies the roar. So, if other reviews give you the impression this is a homey little diner with a versatile menu, trust me, you'll be thoroughly disappointed. read more

Looks can be deceiving, from the outside, this little place does not appear inviting. Step in through the door, and the interior is a pleasant surprise. The bar and bar top dominate on the left side of this establishment, with center tables and a row of booths on the right. They are smoke free for lunch, but in the evening it is a smokers place. Drinks are inexpensive, and excellent. The bartender Chris was warm and friendly, and remembered our names on a return visit. I had the hamburger club, which is a cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce and tomato on Texas toast, and was very good. My wife had a taco salad, which was huge. She got the beef version and said it was tasty, but too much to eat. I had an ice cold domestic, and my wife had a gin and tonic. Our total bill was less than twenty bucks! read more
