We come to Uniontown regularly so we were so pleased to find another great restaurant. I ordered the highly suggested chicken salad sandwich, which didn't disappoint. My husband had the Philly cheese sandwich, & we started with the zucchini fries. Everything was excellent, ESPECIALLY the service. Gave it a chance ask a few times if the burgers were frozen the waiter assured me they were not, if that was fresh ground meat it's like nothing I have had , seems like a nice place and the wait staff is great! But the hamburger sucks, it's a old school place Cheese burger sucked! read more

Joined my wife and her seven work colleagues for dinner. We had quite a variety of entrees and appetizers. From the hot cheese balls to the pizza logs to sandwiches and pizzas - everything was delicious. Drinks and beers were cold and good. Prices were very reasonable. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich with onion rings along with dipping sauce and I ordered the cold Italian hoagie with french fries. Everything was exactly as it should be, served quickly and could not be better. Services was quick, attentive and spot on. We will definitely return when in the area. read more

We had an OK lunch here. The service was pleasant, but not very enthusiastic, and it felt a bit awkward as if this was not the server's usual job. Based on the quality of the pizzas, we probably wouldn't stop here again. While it's difficult to make a totally "bad" pizza, this pizza was more like free pizza that would be given out to keep the bar patrons drinking and bringing in the real money. This was like bowling alley pizza: flat with no crust (maybe it was a frozen, commercial, pre-made crust?) with the most basic cheese and basic sauce. We tried two different pies and they were equally mediocre. Neither was completely sliced making slice removal difficult. The small flimsy spatula was ineffective at moving slices to plates without the slices sliding off or flipping over. The fries were bulk frozen quality and not hot. This review doesn't imply the other menu choices would be equally as disappointing, but if you're seeking a destination for great pizza, this is not the place. read more

Sorry to say, I am over Rizz's: between the doubling (or more) of drink prices, ( yes, a jaw-dropping tab after hanging for a few). and the decline in the quality of their steaks ( worst ever this past week, full of fat, who the hell is choosing this crappy quality meat for a restaurant?!). Recently tried Rizz's and have to say it was very good. We've tried all the places around Rizz which are all good. This place has an old bar look which was kind of cool. The other thing I noticed was a few women in the kitchen that you can tell they can flat out cook. My burger was perfect. My girlfriend had chicken parm. Both of us were very pleased. The waiter knew the menu and was full of energy. I recommend trying Rizz's. read more

Loved our meal and the woodsy, cozy vibe here. Expose brick and ductwork, lots of dark wood, and specials are written on giant blackboards. Live music on rear patio, friendly staff. We had excellent turkey burger with home made chips, and a colorful and filling salad made just as we requested. Have a beer at the bar, and then work off your meal with a walk around the small, but great downtown area to appreciate the history and architecture from years gone by. read more

I don't go to Rizz's a lot, but when I do it's always good! This place is a really great lunch spot in downtown Uniontown. They have a lot of options for sandwiches and salads for less than 10 bucks. The crowd is good and the service is friendly. I recommend the "famous" chicken salad sandwich. I'm really picky when it comes to chicken salad, but Rizz's really is the best! I've also had the turkey burger and enjoyed it. I can't really speak for their dinner entrees, but I'm sure they are good. However, the steak salad is topped with steakum's from the freezer, not real steak. read more

One of the best kept secrets in Uniontown... It reminds us so much of Little Italy in Manhattan... The service is average, but the quality of food is great... You can watch them cook it right in front of you... Many selections on the menu... My favorites include the chicken parmigiana, fettuccini alfredo, pizza, wings & burgers. Stopped by for a bite to eat on a Wednesday night. Parked by the door, and was definitely worth the stop! Our waitress, Tanya was lovely and kind, and the burgers were delish!! We passed on sitting at the bar, and took advantage of the empty room in the back. Was relaxed and comfortable! Portions were generous and had a ice cold Ultra. What more can you ask for? Saw previous negative reviews and had to comment. We had a wonderful experience here. The bar area was narrow but cozy. People waiting for take out, bar crowd, everyone was friendly. Very cool vibes and friendly staff at this local place. We sat inside at a table, but the patio looked really nice. It was too hot outside for us. My coworker ordered the breakfast burger and I got the BBQ chicken salad (special of the day). The salad was great! The chicken was the perfect texture. It was fried and cut into just the right size. The BBQ sauce on it was really tasty. It also came with a BBQ ranch dressing. You almost didn't need any dressing since the BBQ sauce was so good, but it accented it well. My buddy said the burger was great as well. Would love to come back for another visit, but we're only in town for a few days for work. read more

So the saga continues...Pennsylvania is a "Food Dessert" Thankfully it is only part of my territory. This place had great reviews, I love little local places like this. Unfortunately a Club sandwich was not their specialty. I asked the server if the Delmonico was frozen or fresh, he did not know and did not offer to check, he said he normally work's the lunch crowd. Ok, Club Sandwich: Three slices of bread with a swipe of mayo (this helps hold the ingredients on the bread) Turkey, Ham, Lettuce, Tomato and Bacon. The Bacon should be slightly warm so you don't chip a tooth on it. Really not that difficult. Cole Slaw was good but then had an after taste, I did not finish it. Oh, the side of "mayo" was I think Miracle Whip. read more

It was hard to bite through. This place was more expensive than I thought. The lunch special was almost $11 with only chips as a side (homemade,but lacked seasoning). We love eating at local restaurants, especially in our hometown, and especially when it's consistently good. Last night was our third experience at Rizz's. The mushroom Brie soup is still amazing. The hot garlic wings were super crispy and full of flavor. We had the "Pittsburger" and the turkey burger for our entrees, and that's probably the only part of our meal that was just ok. The toppings on the burger were flavorful, the burger meat itself however, was just average. A side-note about our overall experience not related to the food: I am not sure if Rizz's closes early on Monday nights, but we walked in about 7:30, and we were back in our car by 8:20. Definitely well before 9pm. Around 8:00, three local policemen walked in the door, and were turned away because they said they had already closed down the kitchen. I was honestly disappointed to witness that they had turned away police officers. I feel like they could have offered them something or why not just turn the grill/ fryers back on real quick? The fact that they were police officers aside, what local restaurant owner wants to turn away business? Perhaps he/she wasn't there. The food was good, but that left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to their overall customer service. read more

First time here for lunch at this location. The waiter was very helpful, he explained the specials for the day and gave us time to decide what we wanted. My girlfriend had the three cheese burger special with chips, which she said was excellent. I had the bacon and bleu burger, which I got without lettuce and tomato along with chips. Our food was brought to us in short order and was fresh, well done and excellent. The waiter even waited to see if we wanted anything else before giving us the check and told us where to pay at.
