Puppy's is a hidden gem Under new ownership this place has really become one of those places you'd expect to hear about on the travel channel. Any negative would be the wait time but because it's so busy. The food here is absolutely incredible from their signature burgers, to one of kind finds like the Spicy Chicken and Waffles and amazing fresh desserts ready to go. Oh and amazing milkshakes. The atmosphere in the main entrance is chill as it hosts a small seating area with a great selection of beers to choose from if you want. We went from Restaurant to restaurant and either it was closed to a storm or we needed a $400 dollar membership. It's the club manager that recommended us to go here. After a long drive we are so glad we listened. Food is delicious. We were all satisfied. It felt like we went back in time. The feeling of the place is like a convenience store with a magical restaurant above. Go to the fridge, pick your drink and be served by one of their friendly and kind service members. During our vacation, four of us decided to try this restaurant. At first glance, it doesn't look particularly inviting--it actually reminds me of a gas station. However, the food is fantastic! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and on another visit, I tried the BBQ sauce burger. Both were incredible and comparable to Red Robin burgers. I also enjoyed my fries with ranch dressing, which I absolutely love! My family sampled various dishes, and everyone was pleased with their meals. The dining room upstairs is definitely a step up from what I remember from Pappy's. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. The shrimp quesadilla is my favorite - it's stuffed full of fried shrimp, cheese, peppers, onions, and some kind of barbecue like sauce. Delicious. Their chicken fingers are similar to a fast food chicken place that my kids love. And their fries are fresh cut. My husband and son both ordered burgers and were happy with them. They offer salads, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, quesadillas, fried chicken, etc. They also now serve ice cream - and they are large and packed full of toppings. read more

Our family planned on Monday Night wings night all week. Placed a dine in wing order and ordered 6 wing extra crispy. Side note, apparently there are two types of wings that you can order. 'Naked" or "Breaded" The wings came out with a breading on them which I can't personally eat. The server was kind and said she would drop 6 regular wing for us. No big deal. Another side note...I never once implied that I wasn't going to pay for my meal. A "manager" came up stairs and basically shamed me for ordering the wings wrong and said there was no way they were re making the order, because I ordered them wrong and explained to me that she would have to "answer to her management . She then explained to me how to order the wings properly next time. She embarrassed me in front of my family and completely embarrassed the server that was trying to correct the situation. She offered me desert or a beverage which I did not accept, we came for wing night. Long story short, Pappys lost a loyal local customer that has been going there since the 90's because of 6 wings. Yikes! We stopped here for a quick bite and ordered the crabby fries, the "famous" fried chicken and a special of the day brisket sandwich. They were out of almost all the sides, had no shrimp left and despite having three full containers of potato salad in the to go fridge, they claimed to be out of that, too. We ordered and paid- and waited. And... waited. And waited some more. After about 25 minutes i asked for an eta on the food. He told me they were out of chicken but that someone had gone to the other location to fetch some and they'd be right back. I would have ordered something else if given that opportunity but I felt I had to wait. After another 30 minutes still no chicken. I asked for a refund of my chicken meal and we left. I ate some fries and my fiancé had the brisket sandwich but it was fatty and gristly. I left hungry and cranky. Gross food. Poor kitchen mgt. Don't eat here. read more

I had a stuffed pepper with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts with blue cheese and fresh bacon bits and honey, equally as wonderful. Todd sat and talked cars with Mike. I decided to go with the wings naked with hot bbq & witch doctor sauce on the side, my wife got the Shrimp Platter with Baked Beans and Hushpuppies and we split an order of the Molly Fries(Holy 1# of Fries Batman) So the girl that took great care of us (Keisha) was Fantastic! If every restaurant had a person like her they would run so smoothly! On our trip back to Maryland from Ohio, we passed through Uniontown looking for a place to stop for lunch. A quick Google search led us to Pappy's and I'm glad that we gave it a try! The employees were super friendly, welcoming us in and giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. We took their advice and got three separate 7' hoagies - the Italian, the Three Little Pigs, and the Shrimp Po'Boy. We also got an order of their house made chips, adding on salt and vinegar seasoning. We're glad we split one between the three of us because the portion of chips was big! The chips were crispy and seasoned well with just the right amount of salt and vinegar. You can choose to get the chips plain or with a number of other seasonings, and I'm sure all of them are good. The hoagies were excellent, especially the Three Little Pigs, which had pulled pork, ham, bacon, cheese, and barbecue sauce. This place has a lot of different options for food, and I wish we could've tried more. The drink selection is solid as well, with many different alcoholic and non-alcoholic options in coolers along the wall. Prices are good and the establishment is clean. This place may not look like anything special from the outside, but take my advice and don't pass on Pappy's. If we are ever back in Uniontown, we will be coming here again for sure! read more

I have been customer for quite a few years and the quality of the potato salad has always been good until today. I stopped to pick up a quart and not only had the price gone up to $13 but the quality went way down. It tasted old and dried out. When I pay they kind of price for potato salad I expect it to be great. When I called about the quality, the response was "ok" . No offer to replace. They lost a good customer. read more
