Wonderful breakfast biscuit sandwich. Sooooo much butter in the biscuit. Coffee and chai were excellent.

Was craving steak and this place has some good reviews so drove a wee bit out of the way to check…read moreout. It's def no frills, very casual. There were some hits, some misses. Plus side, initial service was fast and friendly but no water delivered (had to ask). The crab cake appetizer (market price $16.95) was good, two fairly large crab cakes - not too much filler, served with a tasty mayo sauce. Dinner arrived, the hit was that the filet mignon was super tender but came out very rare, not medium as requested. But they took this back and it came back charred on the outside but perfectly cooked inside, still good and served with salad and baked potato. The chicken club sandwich was good, wine was passable. The fish and chips however were very terrible.... frozen (Groton ?) fish sticks is not what we were prepared for so that was a massive no thanks. (The menu describes this as Icelandic cod filets prepared in a seasoned beer batter...)

The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly, I had a grilled chicken wrap, it was so-so and I was disappointed because they advertised homemade chips with all the sandwiches but what I got we were rippled chips from a bag. My friend had fish and chips and a cup of lobster bisque, he wasn't happy with the fact that all his food was cold. Overall I felt as though they dropped the ball, not horrible but I can't see myself going back.

Overnighting in Uniontown after visiting Fallingwater. This…read morebar and restaurant says "local legend" all over. We ate in the bar which was a little quieter than the dining room. Lots of traditional Italian classics on the menu and daily specials. We had veal parmigiana and an Italian sampler with sausage, meatball, a stuffed shell, and ravioli and pasta. The veal was hand breaded and fresh. And enough for two full meals. But the breading overwhelmed the veal and it was a little over cooked. The tomato sauce was tasty but creamier more than tomatoey. I like a sauce with fresh tomatoes and less of a creamy feel. The samplers was good. The beef raviolis were basic and classic. The sausage was top notch - great seasonings, a little spicy, and very juicy and tasty. The meatball was ok-not memorable. Service was attentive and we appreciated the offer of additional sauce midway through our entrees. All in all, good scratch cooking and decent value. It was a good choice for dinner.

(not the best for the socially anxious types) Food: Best alfredo I've ever had, buttery, salty, and chicken was tender! They know how to measure out their ingredients well, and make sure things taste up to par. Value: Standard pricing for a casual sit down Italian place, nothing above $35, nothing below $12 but the salad and soups. One thing to note; Small portioned pastas are only $13, so if you want a quick and small pasta dish, meloni's isn't a bad bet!

Kind of a cross between a sports bar with TVs and projector screens, as well as dark walls and dark wood dining. It was pretty quiet when we were there - kind of weird being a weekend evening, We started with some appetizers: bruschetta, steak egg rolls, and fried pepperoni. The bruschetta was good - executed properly and textbook. The bread was toasted but a soft bite - just the right amount of tomato and balsamic. The steak egg rolls were also very good - had a kick with cherry peppers inside. Comes with ranch as a dipping sauce. The fried pepperoni was different. The breading struggled to stay on the pepperoni but it was good overall. For my entree I went with the red chicken parm. It comes with pasta (billed as made from Scratch) and red sauce. There were two hamburger-sized chicken pieces, breaded with cheese and a small amount of sauce on top. I felt like the cheese on the top was scarce - should be more. Upon first bite, I was throttled with the flavor of salt, heavy heavy salt. I tried the other piece and the same. I don't mind salt items but this breading reminded me of overuse of the chicken seasoning pack in ramen, and was just over the top. Pasta was ok. For dessert - since I didn't eat much of the entree, I went with the chocolate cake. Holy hell it's massive. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It was immense. Cake was good - though kind of dry at times. Our waitress was nice - attentive and responsive to us throughout the meal. Would try again - I would say really this is closer to a 3 than a 4 but. Whichever.

We recently went to Shogun for our first time…read more We found the hibachi chef to be very friendly, and he worked hard to make our family have a good time. The main food was good, and we had no issues with anything from him. The fried rice was good, and all of the meats were cooked properly. The only food we had issues with were the salad and soup. We've had much better at other hibachi restaurants, and we were a little underwhelmed with it. The salad was rather bland without nearly enough dressing on it, and the soup was just... mediocre. My daughter had a California roll and liked it. Service was also a little upsetting. We did not get a refill on our drinks the entire time we were there. I honestly don't think our waitress checked on us the entire time. That was upsetting to us, and is one of my largest pet peeves in dining out. With other hibachi places in the area, the service thing will stop us from ever going back on our own. Would we go back for a birthday party or some event? Yes--the main food was good, so I wouldn't be turned off of going. However, don't expect me to willingly choose to go somewhere where the server wouldn't fill up our drink.
