Called in a takeout order and when I got the bill there was a $3.70 "takeout fee" that was never mentioned when I ordered. I only found out when I was handed the check. When I asked about it, I was told it was for bags and utensils and that "everyone is doing it" (they're not), and that they've been charging it for a long time. If that's the case, then why not tell customers upfront? After I questioned it, the bartender took an attitude, disappeared into the kitchen for almost 10 minutes, then came back out and avoided me completely. This could've been handled so much better. A simple apology for not mentioning it upfront--and maybe offering to remove it as a courtesy--would've gone a long way. Instead it turned into an uncomfortable situation. It's not even about the $3.70, it's the lack of transparency and the way it was handled. Not a good experience. read more

Worth the drive for such good food. We also had a terrific server, Allison. Thank you. Met the owner as he walked around thanking all his guests. We wish him well in all his future endeavors. Poutine fries were delicious with loads of cheese and gravy. The chicken was wonderfully crispy and moist/tender. Caesar salad was large and we added chicken in it too. Even though we were full, I could not resist the cheesecake tacos each with a different topping. Cherry, blueberry and apple. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, it's worth the drive. I received these TINY fried cauliflowers for an appetizer. It took the Waitress FOREVER to check on our table, we were starving and ate most of them, because the waitress took forever. When she came back. I complained about how small the majority of the Cauliflowers were. Some were just crumbs, no Cauliflower(and was a small portion at that). She came back and rudely said the manager said because some were eaten we cannot take them back or refund them. The rest of the night, we were treated very unfairly. Staff even came out and gave us looks because I complained about the cauliflower. When the waitress brought the check out, she waited for me to pay her, she stood over me. I could not believe they did not honor their product and take off bill or give us a new order with actual fried cauliflower. My brothers chicken was cold and dry and my cheese french fries were also dry and barely any cheese. The food was not good quality and we were all treated horribly by all the staff. Very sad, because I am a strong supporter of mom and pop places. We will never go back! read more

As someone who grew up knowing this place as "Eddy's" I was very surprised to see all of the updates that were made to this restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but no alcohol is served outdoors. The inside is very nice, and clean. There were plenty of updates with the seating, and bar area. My sister and I ordered take-out, everything was good. I had the white pizza on cauliflower crust, it was pretty flavorful and cooked very nicely. Cauliflower crust can be tricky to make crispy, but they pulled it off! read more

This is the second time my family was duped by this restaurant. Ordered wings & a sliced beef salad. The wings had that taste that they had been made earlier and then refrigerated. The Thai sauce we ordered was then tossed over the wings. TERRIBLE! The beef and fries in the salad tasted the same way, like it had been refrigerated and then added to the mediocre salad. First time today at 11am. Wow! I had Buffalo chicken rolls (9) and my companion had Chicken bacon cheese rolls (9). Both came with homemade ranch and marinara sauces. Rolls and sauces were delicious! Perfectly cooked. We also had potato wedges. Huge portions that we finished at home for dinner. Our server was most pleasant and helpful with suggestions from their extensive menu. The owner stopped for an enjoyable conversation. We sat in the welcoming bar area. There was an adjoining handsome dining room (next time). Many thanks to the chef, waitress and owner. Had a pretty mixed experience here. I came in with family at 1 in the afternoon, and playing on all the TV's was an adult cartoon with violence and obscenities. There's so many TV's in the place that you can't avert your eyes if you even try. As far as the food is concerned I have no complaints - the cheesy garlic bread and meatball hoagie were both very tasty. Dine-in guests are served paper plates with plastic utensils which is a little odd. I'd recommend this restaurant for takeout but not dine-in. read more

I was driving by and looking for a local place to eat and found Roosters Roost. I pulled in and sat in the bar area. The TVs were extra large and a great bar atmosphere. The menu has small print so bring your readers! ;) The waitress arrived quickly and took my order of grilled chicken salad and meatballs. The meal took a bit of time to arrive, so don't be in a hurry but there was enough distractions to keep me entertained. I liked that the meal arrived in to-go containers because I took the salad home with me. The meatballs were wonderful and I enjoyed the extra cheese. They definitely have an extensive menu (pizza, wings, salads, sandwiches, etc), so there is something for everyone. Their salads are put together well with plenty of toppings and variety. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken salad and would eat it again. Take out is a better option since they have a small dining area with limited tables. It's a little pricey for bar type food, but so long as the quality of the food is good, it's worth it. The salt and vinegar fries are a family favorite and definitely worth ordering if you like that sort of thing! Oh, and try the firecracker shrimp tacos - you will not be disappointed! Tried this place for the first time and have to say it's outstanding. They make their own dough and the toppings are fresh. I had the carnivore calzone it was the best I ever had. Food was absolutely delicious. Our bill was pretty high due to some specialty drinks we were having. We paid our bill and wrote cash tip on the receipt. Then we left a $20 cash tip. After we left the waitress charged our card the bill plus a 20% tip on top of the $20 cash we left her. That's theft and shady.
