Was craving steak and this place has some good reviews so drove a wee bit out of the way to check…read moreout. It's def no frills, very casual. There were some hits, some misses. Plus side, initial service was fast and friendly but no water delivered (had to ask). The crab cake appetizer (market price $16.95) was good, two fairly large crab cakes - not too much filler, served with a tasty mayo sauce. Dinner arrived, the hit was that the filet mignon was super tender but came out very rare, not medium as requested. But they took this back and it came back charred on the outside but perfectly cooked inside, still good and served with salad and baked potato. The chicken club sandwich was good, wine was passable. The fish and chips however were very terrible.... frozen (Groton ?) fish sticks is not what we were prepared for so that was a massive no thanks. (The menu describes this as Icelandic cod filets prepared in a seasoned beer batter...)

I just wanted to say that Jazmen was really one of the nicest waitresses I have ever encountered. She was really easy to talk to but was also super professional. She gave me a few drink recommendations and I ordered one of them which was the Red White & Booze. I liked it a lot even though usually I'm not a fan of blue curaçao. She also kept coming back to check on us and always asked if we needed anything. We shared some wings and a pizza and there was a buy one get one on pizzas last night so we took one home as well. It was very tasty. Anyway, every time we come here it's great but this time really stood out because of Jazmen. She deserves the best!
