Prices are low for some things, but really not too many things at all. I love some products from here, but really not a lot. I can count on my fingers the items I would actually buy from Walmart lol. Frankly, I've noticed that Walmart's prices have actually gone up, and I'm talking WAY up! I think Shop 'n Save is becoming cheaper than Walmart at this point! Walmart is definitely not my first choice for fresh produce either. One time I even saw an employee doing a delivery/pickup shop, and he dropped an apple. HE PICKED THAT APPLE RIGHT BACK UP AND PUT IT IN THE BAG ANYWAY!!! If I dropped an apple, I would give my customer a new one instead of the one I dropped. I do like the tomatoes though. I also like the bakery. The bakery is pretty good, but definitely not my first choice for a birthday cake. I also like the $1 daily fresh made bread from the bakery. That's some good bread. Watch out for the huge holes from air bubbles though. The great value canned tuna is also good. I also like the potato salad and some of the other food they make in store, or just whatever they have in market side. Rotisserie chicken is better at Giant Eagle and Shop 'n Save though. The rotisserie chicken is good here, but you gotta watch because sometimes that chicken will be burnt and dry as hell. Walmart is decent enough for maybe half your groceries, definitely not all of them. Literally every time I come here I leave with less items and less money, if not more items and even less money than at other grocery stores I shop at. I leave with more items and more money at the others. I only shop here now if I have no other choice for food, and ultimately I'll only come here for a certain item if I know the price of it is the cheapest out of all the other stores, or if I simply can't get it anywhere else. The employees aren't that bad though. They'll help you the best they can, when you're there in person. Except for one of the greeters. This greeter has long dark hair and wears glasses. In her 50s or 60s. She is incredibly rude and insufferable. One time we also had this pain in the ass trainee who looked like a dollar store Billie Eilish that once tried to accuse us of stealing, but her manager saw how upset she made us so she told her to go take a break lol. But they keep hiring people now who can't speak English. Calling up here is hit or miss too. I can count on my fingers how many times they've picked up the phone each time I've called. Most of the time they don't answer the phone. I understand that sometimes they can get really busy but can at least one person be there to pick up the phone? Loud crying kids every time you come here too, tbh I actually have not heard that in other stores. I know some of the parents try to control the crying too but others won't care to try either. I might've heard the crying a couple times in Shop 'n Save but definitely not as many times as in Walmart. I hear kids crying every single time I come to Walmart. There's also this crazy old lady who sits by the grocery entrance nearly every single day until like 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon bothering everybody, as if she's friends with everybody like she's some big shot here. She acts like she's one of the greeters. She has gray hair in what looks like a bowl cut, wears glasses and walks on a 4 legged cane. They do nothing about her even though they should. She honestly should not be allowed inside the store unless she's going to shop, because she is annoying. She and several old men are always sitting on the benches all day long until they finally get on their bus and go home, leaving other customers no place to sit inside as they wait for their own rides. They'll all sit there for hours on end until late afternoon talking. Yes, they're not bothering or hurting anybody except for the lady who bothers everyone, but if they're done shopping or haven't shopped at all they have no reason to sit there and keep on sitting there. I always do my best to avoid that woman, so I don't have to talk to her. Other reviewers are also right about the employees who block the aisles when they're shopping for deliveries or pickup. If you have to shop here, do it. But be cautious of some people here, and don't spend all your money here. Mostly not worth it. read more

I was in Uniontown for the holidays, and had to stop and pick up a few items at Walmart, the store was busy, and I was unable to find what I was looking for, I ask one of the associates for some assistance she lead me to the direction where the items was, she was very friendly, and supportive, she assisted me to the large bins, which I needed, she offered to help me, I had so much in my buggy, The kind gesture and the professionalism that was demonstrated at such a busy time was much appreciated. Nice small town Walmart. It's a little cluttered and not as clean as the Walmart's I'm use too but it's ok if you just need to run in and purchase a few items. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is because restroom was horribly dirty and smelly. read more

I ordered a product online that was not perishable and could not pick it up myself. I asked my son to stop and get it for me on his way home. Seems they cant hand the order to him it had to be brought to the car. Well he didnt have the app to have it delivered nor did I know which app that was needed. People in the store were extremely rude (but then most of the area is full of rude and ignorant people) and nobody ever answers the phones here. I was born and raised here and nothing has changed. I moved back from another state to my childhood home and not by choice. I wish I never had to come back to this crap hole of people. I didnt like growing up here and it seems to have gotten worse. I have never been to a Walmart anywhere as bad as this store has become. This store accommodates trash and employs it the way it appears. read more

I'll be kind enough and give this particular location a three star rating. Only because this is one of the few Walmarts I have been in that has a dedicated space for self checkouts, and they are actually usable. Walmart still makes me want to pull my hair out by just stepping foot in one. So I doubt I'd ever give a location a five star rating. It is still just a Walmart, we have to remember that. read more

We were in town a little over a week ago to visit Ohiopyle and I needed to pick up a few things so we stopped by Walmart since it was so close to our hotel. This store was super organized and well stocked so I was able to find everything I needed fairly quickly and the employees stocking the shelves were quick to ask if I needed assistance (because clearly I looked lost trying to maneuver my way through the store). I live just outside of Baltimore so I was pleasantly surprised that there were no lines whatsoever when it came time to check out. read more

I actually timed Uniontown Walmart because of the last time I was there it took forever to get my groceries.. I arrived there on 24 June at 5:13 pm. I was already notified that my groceries were ready to pickup a half of an hour before hand.. Everything is on the security cameras as we all know.......... The groceries rolled out 5:34, a full 21 minutes later. Then trying to check out they asked where my EBT card was. I said I do not have on I paid for them online last night. Evidentially the checkout did not process, probably my fault. Then they said lets get a store manager, I thought okay... I waited, and waited and waited... Unreal. Then some guy named Donnie came out, I guess he was a manager...lol... Let me just finish... It was a total of 33 minutes in the heat with the truck running, the milk in the sun, and nobody has any answers... And yes the order was short once again, but to drive 13 miles back to Uniontown Walmart for $6.00 is not worth the gas I already wasted waiting for them..... Lesson Learned... Roy T Bales read more

They don't know what they're doing there I waited over an hour for them load me up and there we're several Vehicles came way after I did and got their stuff before I did. They substitute no egg noodles with egg noodles. Seriously who does that? They Substitute 3 mg melatonin with 10 milligrams. I understand with the brand but why the milligrams?. This Walmart was built as one of the biggest of their stores at the time. Today I find it to be entirely too large to get through and not be able to find the items you're looking for. This large Walmart has dirty bathrooms & dirty patrons (this is not a political commentary, I'm being honest). I'm very sensitive to odors good and bad--and there's plenty of smells to choose from when stuck behind an unwashed shopper. I know Walmart can do nothing about this aspect of the store. If you don't come prepared with a list and a map, expect to spend an hour (minimum) in this place. I've figured out a system on how to get in and out faster but I'm not sharing that here--for fear it will catch on. ;-) I much prefer spending a little more at Giant Eagle for produce & the same OR LESS at Target for dry goods. I have a choice in my daily experiences--Walmart is not a positive experience. I also never get meat from any Walmart. Yuck! Ground bones in the ground beef--fatty grey beef... Questionable poultry.... Now if you want a better Walmart location, Connellsville (on Rt 119) is your next best bet. Brownsville Walmart is a great store too but does not have a full deli or bakery. Mount Pleasant, PA is also acceptable (dirty bathrooms though.) This Walmart gets two stars just because they have the same prices as other Walmarts--I suppose. read more

Don't try to call Uniontown Wal-Mart waited for 5 minutes for someone to answer , then they didn't know what time sporting goods dept. closed ! Called back and no one answered, called Belle Vernon Wal-Mart first to ask about a hunting license got the information went there and there printer is broke. Out of all of the Walmarts in the area, this one is the biggest and it's my favorite. I also live fairly close to the Belle Vernon. When it comes to certain foods, they carry more of a variety than other locations do and even carry a lot of off brands that most stores do not carry. Their clothes selection exceeds that of other Walmarts as well. I also really enjoy their hot foods section as the food is quite tasty. They recently took the McDonald's out of Walmart which I was more than okay with as that McDonald's was rather dirty every time I've been in there. I think they would benefit greatly if they added a seating section in here for ppl to sit down and eat once they ordered their food. Most of the time my visits here are okay but I would highly recommend not visiting on the first of the month or around and major holiday as it is often packed with people everywhere and sometimes they run out of carts inside and there are long lines at the checkouts. read more

I think this is one of the best Walmart's in the Area. I do like Brownsville's Walmart but it is to small. I live near Belle Vernon Walmart but work in Uniontown. I love the Pharmacy at Uniontown and it is much cleaner then Belle Vernon's store. I always leave Walmart with everything on my list. They are always stocked well and they don't change things around as often as some Walmarts. The only think that I don't like about all Walmarts is this new thing with grocery pickup. The employees that are doing this are not very considerate to the customers that are shopping in the store. They block the isles and do not move when the shoppers are trying to get around them. This is very frustrating. But all in all I love shopping at Walmart. Especially Uniontown My Favorite. read more

I want to start out by saying that, while I am from Uniontown, I have lived in 6 other states, all as an adult, from North to South to Midwest. I have an advanced education, and worked as a college professor before returning home to Uniontown for family reasons. While I could trash all of Uniontown for being small town, actually, stores like Walmart have come in and given Uniontown large employers it lacked after the fall of the coal & steel industry, revitalizing the area. There were no "mom-and-pop" stores for them to put out of business; there was no business to speak of here. Walmart was at the vanguard of development of the Rte. 21 corridor (now moved to a newer location across New Salem Road), which is now a hub of commercial development of all kinds. Now, for this store. It is a Walmart. As one reviewer said, take that into consideration, it has the same ups and downs as most Walmarts. However, I felt compelled to review this Walmart when I saw the other reviews which I think are unfair. I am no fan of the ownership of the chain, or the direction they took manufacturing after the passage of their patriarch. But seeing as how I am now disabled, Walmart has saved me a great deal of time, grief, and yes, money, all of which are tight right now. The staff at the pharmacy know me by name, almost down to my birthdate. I can call and tell them my name and they know the status of my prescriptions; very rarely do I have to call more than one time, but sometimes, they are unable to answer their line. That's okay for me, because I've worked retail, I know it can be hectic. They've never been discourteous to me there. I started seeing the eye doctor at the Vision Center there a few years ago, instead of the pricey independent doctor I was seeing, because there's a wider selection of frames, though there used to be more that my insurance would cover, this year, I think for the first time I will have to pay into my glasses. But that's not the fault of *this* Walmart. There are about 2 employees of the Vision Center who I feel don't do the best job they could do, and I try to avoid them; the rest are very professional, helpful, and kind. I am likely to strike up conversations with random people, much more so now that I have to shop alone, that family members have died unexpectedly. I was looking at produce one day and noticed a price discrepancy, and brought it to the attention of a young man working there. We got to chatting, and now when I see him there, we stop and talk, I know practically everything about his life, he knows a bit about mine, plus he originally offered to let me to buy my produce at the mistaken price (I didn't take him up on that offer, I had purchased that item before and knew the real price, I wasn't going to take advantage of a posting mistake). I think I've chatted up someone in almost every department, alerting them to ironies in pricing, mistaken sizing, and sales; I've never met anyone who wasn't at least professional, if not completely friendly. They've gone out of their way to try to find things for me when I wasn't even sure if I was going to buy, I just wanted to know if they had something. And, realizing that I'm a part of my community, if I'm there and a new employee can't find something for another shopper, I show them both where it is. That's just part of being in a small town. I've had only two experiences that I can remotely say were bad: one was with a self-checkout that just kept saying everything I put in my bag was "unexpected," and the person who was supposed to be overseeing those check-outs was busy and not able to override the recording, which goes on and on and on for minutes (it only needs to tell me once, not 50 times, and not hold up my shopping for 10 minutes each item, and if it goes off like that more than twice in a row, it should have some mechanism to shut that function off, it should recognize that it's the fault of the register, not the customer). I got a bit exasperated and started begging it to shut up and get on with my checking out, and then the Walmart employee thought that was a strange conversation (I've since learned I'm not alone, other people have this problem in other stores, too). And, at Christmastime, a male employee bagged my items so poorly, putting clothing in the same bag with frozen foods, not paying attention to what he was doing, I really wanted to just ask him to leave the stuff alone and let me do it myself. I did, after I walked away, redo all my bags. I avoided him after that. And I was fine. That's in over 11 years of going to this Walmart. My philosophy, as a shopper, and a person, is you get in return what you give most of the time. If you give people respect, you'll get it in return. Sometimes you won't, sometimes people will just be rude, but for the most part, these people who work at Walmart are working for minimum wage at a high-profile job with poor benefits in a small town. I give them a lot of credit. It could be worse. read more

It's a Walmart. You can't expect the best. Especially here in Fayette County. The bathrooms are always dirty. I don't think the largeness of the Walmart is a problem. I live in Boston and was in Uniontown on vacation. Maybe it's because I live in a city, but walking into this Walmart was an experience. Yes, it was a Walmart and all the baggage that comes with that. But it had to be the biggest store I've ever seen in my life. The produce quality was excellent.
