I honestly was dreading shopping for a new lease anywhere. But I randomly went into Rusnak even though it was far from home. It was the 6th dealership I went to in a month, so this isn't without context. The vibe was not pushy at all and super patient. They were so nice! I did a test drive, took some time to shop around for options, but still went back with Rusnak. They helped me get into a car that met all my requirements and my budget. They gave me a solid deal, then delivered my paperwork and car to my home. They did a thorough walk-through, helped me get set up with everything. One of the easiest lease transactions ever. Sales and Finance were both amazing. Ibeth in Sales, Doug the Sales Manager, Ronnie in Finance, Joshua who delivered the car, all amazing to work with. Two days ago, when I attempted to drive the vehicle, it was completely dead and would not start. I contacted AAA, and after testing the battery, their technician informed me that the battery required immediate replacement because it was operating at only 33% of its original holding capacity. I reached out to my salesperson, Jimmy, to discuss the issue but have not received a response. At this point, I can only assume that the dealership does not intend to assist with the battery replacement. While I understand that used vehicles are sold with varying levels of wear, I believe it is reasonable to expect a vehicle to start and operate properly shortly after purchase. In my opinion, replacing a battery that fails almost immediately after delivery would be a gesture of good customer service and demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction. Selling a vehicle that becomes inoperable due to a severely degraded battery shortly after purchase creates a disappointing ownership experience and reflects poorly on the overall customer experience. I had hoped for better support in resolving what appears to be a straightforward issue.

My Experience at Rusnak Pasadena…read more As a repeat customer of Rusnak Porsche, I have always been highly impressed by their service department, which is why my recent experience with the pre-owned sales department was so disappointing. I went in to get an estimate to sell my car and met with Allen, the Pre-Owned Car Manager. From the very start, his demeanor was entirely unwelcoming. When I introduced myself and stated why I was there, he asked where the vehicle was located. After I pointed it out, he simply turned around and walked away without a word, leaving me to assume I was supposed to follow him. Once outside, he inspected the vehicle, checked his phone, and verbally gave me a quote--all without a single smile or welcoming gesture. When I asked if that was his best offer, he gave me a laundry list of what the car would need to sell. After I said "thank you," he once again just turned around and walked away in complete silence. I had to stop and think afterward--perhaps he was just having a difficult day or going through something personal, and I always want to extend grace. However, as a manager, shouldn't you lead your team by example and greet customers with basic professionalism and courtesy? It is a stark contrast to the wonderful team in the service department. To top it off, prior to visiting Rusnak, I had already received a quote from Carmax that was 15% higher than what Rusnak offered. I had hoped that my loyalty as a repeat customer would at least warrant a polite conversation, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

It was definitely an unpleasant experience. They played the classic good-cop, bad-cop routine. John was nice at first, but then he brought in his manager, who decided that my offer of fair market value wasn't going to cut it. The manager came in hot and abrasive, immediately lecturing me about 'being respectful.' At that point, I just laughed him off and walked out. I hadn't even said a single word to him yet. For him to be so demeaning, condescending, and ignorant was simply not worth my time. I refuse to pay new car prices for a used car, you should too. That's the only way we are going to break out of this ridiculous rhetoric that cars don't lose value anymore from them. Also, they did the whole sleazy 'four square' sales approach... as if they didn't know that EVERYONE knows that scam by now.

After the drive i expressed to the salesman that i had very limited time to discuss pricing and had to go promptly. I did not have a great experience once returning to the dealership and ended up leaving unhappy because I felt that my time wasn't being respected. But the manager reached out to me to better understand the circumstance I left under, and he definitely did all that he could in order to salvage our relationship. I was quite bothered initially because I was not asking for much and felt disrespected by the salesman, but the manager Jonathan quickly remedied the situation giving me exactly what I asked for. And went further to ensure I would be happy and comfortable with my purchase, and even offered to fill the car up with a full tank of gas. I admit, it was my choice to come with limited time, so perhaps I dealt them a difficult customer but Jonathan has definitely salvaged my sale with this dealership and I will definitely recommend them to others.
