It's not your regular Thai restaurant as far as ambience goes. But, I'll sacrifice it for great food. It was delicious. It took about 10 minutes. Fresh food, light not heavy and most of all flavorful. I've been living around the corner since they opened and never tried it and I'm so glad I did. 4 stars because the lady didn't quite explain to me why my order was so expensive. Oh make sure you ask for condiments and extra napkins, because they fight you tooth and nail for one pack of soy sauce or sriracha. read more

Got food here for the second time today. It was just as fantastic as the first time. Highly recommend the curries. Pineapple curry with tofu has lots of vegetable and tofu, well worth the money. Owners are super nice which is a big plus! We will be regulars for sure. read more

Took my mom here for a quick lunch fix today. They have an amazing lunch selection with about 15(?) choices !!! I know it's more than 13, but not sure of how many exactly... BUT ITS SOOOOO FIRE. the Thai tea is great ! Oh and the boba, is sooo yummmmmy. It was my second time here and it is my Mom's first time... but my mom LOOOOVE it ! So I've been looking for a Thai Food spot to replace my favorite one in Rancho ( Boonsee Thai) and this is the 4th place I've tried in Riverside, and sadly the worst. It may be a collection of disappointments leading to this review but I was so irritated after I left that I felt I had to leave a review. I came here because of decent reviews on here and I wish I could write a review on Yelp now. I ordered the Pad Se Ew with shrimp and some crab rangoons. This is my go to. They brought out the Crab Rangoon's and I was confused. It was just cream cheese. So I asked and she agreed there was no crab and took it back. She then came back to me and pointed out a small piece of crab at the bottom. Now it maybe a different style of cooking them but I thought the stuffing was a mixture of crab onions seasoning and cream cheese. Not just cream cheese with a piece of crab. I didn't touch anymore. Pad Se Ew was okay but it was a little runny and for charging $2 extra for shrimp they gave me like 5 pieces. After I told the lady I didn't need a To-Go box for the sorry excuse for Crab Rangoon's they gave me she then started giving me evil looks. This place is rated high and it may just be what I ordered but I won't be back and don't recommend this place at all. read more

This is a great lunch spot and i was too lazy to drive to Bann Thai, so I thought I'd try it out for dinner...the other reviews are right about it being eerily empty (you'd think a Friday night at 6pm would be a good money-making time). We got the appetizer combo, tofu Tom kha Kai soup and tofu garlic & pepper. The distinct Thai taste was pretty good here, but the dinner portions looked like lunch, they just put everything on separate plates & charged more. I've only been a couple times and order basic tofu pad Thai. They are good sized portions with lots of tofu that I split for two meals. Priced right, good flavor and always ready on time, as I do pick up. I decided to order a boba smoothie this time as a splurge. Could have done without that. It was filled with chunky ice, not blended well and the boba was so swollen it wouldn't suck up the straw. I'll likely return again for the food but not the drink. Parking lot is a bit cramped and difficult to get to as well but not a deal breaker. read more

The best Thai tea in riverside! And only $5 for a 32oz. Both Chicken Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were delicious and I will definitely be coming back. It was not very busy on a Saturday night and they also offer to go if you do not want to eat here. The wait time was not long, we got our food quickly and it was great! read more

Who gives this place five stars? Have you never actually had Thai food before? $17 for next to nothing. Gyoza that tasted clearly pre-packaged and frozen, rice without taste or texture and "Crying Tiger" (supposed to be beef in very spicy sauce), left me crying alright. Wishing for actual food. My daughter doesn't like Thai food, I love it. She went to her aunt's so I thought hell yeah getting me some Thai food. This disappointment I wasn't expecting. read more

The street side of this location made me not want to go here for the longest time. It looks very run down and made me think the food was be just as bad. However, the inside of the restaurant is put together well. The food is really good. I have the red chicken curry which was sweet and not to spicy. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Only complaint is that you have to get a key for the restroom and handle a dirty wooden spoon to open the door. Stopped, with some coworkers to grab a quick bite. One person got the pineapple fried rice, he said it was the best he has ever had. Haven't had Thai food in a while so this place had high ratings and we thought we'd give it a shot. Was a little worried at how few people were there at lunchtime but don't know the area so no idea if lunches are normally slow around here so gave the benefit of the doubt. Had red curry chicken and wife had shrimp pad Thai. Food was good and came fairly quickly, but both dishes were a bit too sweet. Curry can run sweet with the coconut milk, but pad Thai is supposed to be savory. Maybe they adjusted for the American palate, but for someone who has had real Thai food in Thailand, it was a little disappointing. We were planning on trying the mango sticky rice, but the portions of the entrees were big and filling so will have to try that next time. It's not really authentic Thai flavors, but was good enough to eat here again. read more

Location is a bit out of the way on California Ave. As others noted the wait was nothing to sneeze at; my order came a good 15 minutes or so after my friends. But the food was good and reasonably plentiful. They didn't skimp on my yellow curry and it was suitably creamy and full of flavor. Likewise my friend received a good portion of Pad Thai. It could've been more a little bit spicier but I can't complain too much. Service was okay. Considering the prices and how much you get compared to say for example Royal Orchid Thai I'd say this is the so far the top of the pack for Thai cuisine in the city of Riverside. My Pad See Ew and my wife's Pad Thai tasted not quite right. The sauces tasted like they added something that we were not used to tasting in our Thai food. Friday night and this place was busy, almost too busy for 1 server, took awhile to order the food but it came out quickly. We had shrimp pad thai and chicken pad kee mao, craving noodles tonight I guess. I've been wanting to try this place based on all the good reviews and I've been looking for a good pad thai place since the one I liked closed down. I will say it was tasty and the portion size was enough for two meals. I almost left because when I walked in the smell was not good and I was the only person in the business. I looked at the menu, which was disgusting and sticky and covered in who knows what because it looked like it had never been cleaned! I actually put it down once I picked it up because I didn't want to handle it. I looked around and saw they had an "A" rating (I hope it's not a stolen sign) and just placed an order of shrimp pad thai (because you can't fake shrimp, right?) with extra bean sprouts and extra peanuts. The wait was reasonable and off I went, except before I left the lady yelled at me to use the other door, which was the door I entered in and again, no one else in the business. Is there an entry door and a separate exit door? They were both open and no sign. Once home I opened my order and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food, like I said enough for two meals. It had 6 pieces of shrimp, with tails on, and I guess they don't put bean sprouts in their pad thai, because there wasn't any and about a teaspoon right on top of the chopped peanuts. If that is extra I guess they don't put peanuts on it either? Either way it was tasty but not in an OMG THIS IS SO GOOD kind of way, and I would go back, until I find a place I like better. read more

First and foremost, they have the best chicken pad thai! I also love their chicken yellow curry, so flavor full. the owners increased their price by a couple of bucks in the last couple of months. The restaurant is very clean and neat with plenty of parking (safe). just be carefull when you exit on California with the blind spot. read more

Love this place! Just noticed it last week via yelp, and tried it on Saturday night. I had the Basil beef, and my gf had the Thai BBQ chicken. Food was exceptionally fresh - and that even included the Thai chilis in the fish sauce that they bring you ... obviously chopped that same day. The Thai BBQ chicken deserves special mention - it was cooked-to-order, and for $8.95 (I think) it was a large half chicken ... and not overcooked, it was perfect. I will also say that this place is very pro-Riverside - which I really like. They use the mission bell as part of their logo, and that gets a thumbs up from me. Trust me, skip this Thai restaurant! We ordered the Pad Thai, pad see ew, Tom ka kai and the sampler. EVERY SINGLE item was discusting. I asked for steamed rice upon arrival since I forgot to put in order and the lady wanted to charge me $1 for a tiny scoop, no side orders of rice...even though it's on their menu. We decided to try a new thai restaurant out and could barely stomach it. Great job guys...you will not get any of our business anymore. read more
