Very disappointing and stressful experience with the service department. I brought my Nissan Kicks in for recall programming after already experiencing prior issues with the vehicle's screen/display randomly going black and flashing while driving. This is a brand new vehicle, which makes these kinds of problems even more concerning and unacceptable. During today's visit, I was told the programming failed midway and the screen became completely black. Throughout the process, I received inconsistent explanations about what was actually wrong with the vehicle. The paperwork itself confirms multiple programming failures during the recall process. According to the repair notes, the technician stated the "C4 froze," the combination meter went black, attempts to reset it failed, and they later determined the combination meter had a "blank ECU." The report also states they had to repeatedly redo the programming with different equipment before finally getting the meter to turn back on. Reading that on an official repair document was extremely concerning. What made the situation worse was the way I was treated by staff. After I asked for everything regarding the issue and repair process to be put in writing, employees Rachael Jhaman and Ernesto Navas became rude and at one point were raising their voices, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable as a customer simply trying to understand what was happening with my vehicle. Rachael also responded by saying, "you don't tell me what to do," simply because I requested that the details and diagnosis be documented in writing. I was also initially told that the dealership would be closing around 2 PM, which made me believe I needed to quickly make arrangements and that I might not even get my vehicle back that day. Instead, I ended up waiting essentially the entire day while receiving inconsistent information, and the issue was not resolved until around 5 PM. The lack of communication and transparency throughout the process was incredibly frustrating. I also overheard conversations between staff discussing concerns about the electronics/combination meter, saying they had "salvaged" the system after the failed programming, mentioning that replacement could cost around $4,000 in the future, and even saying Nissan should compensate me for the situation. Rachael Jhaman also referred to Nissan Kicks vehicles as "shitty cars," which was shocking and completely inappropriate to hear from an employee representing an authorized Nissan dealership. What concerned me the most was how quickly the story changed. At one point I was being told the vehicle should not be driven or taken on the road, and then shortly afterward I was suddenly told the car was completely safe to drive again. That inconsistency seriously damaged my confidence in the accuracy and honesty of the information I was being given. In addition, I previously experienced an overheating warning while driving that forced me to pull over temporarily, which made me even more concerned that there may be broader unresolved issues with the vehicle. Although the vehicle was eventually returned to me functioning, I left feeling uneasy, frustrated, and without confidence that I received clear or transparent communication about what truly happened during service. I expected professionalism, consistency, and honesty from an authorized Nissan dealership, especially when dealing with potential electronic and safety-related concerns. I will also be contacting Nissan corporate on Monday to formally raise and escalate these concerns given the seriousness of the issues and the way this situation was handled. read more

I purchased a white TRX from this dealership, and from day one the experience has been a failure. The truck has spent more time being repaired than it has in my possession. Within the first week of ownership, the radiator failed. When the vehicle was taken in for that repair, I very clearly and repeatedly requested that the malfunctioning "OK" button on the steering wheel be fixed as well. I emphasized this issue multiple times. After more than a week, the truck was returned to me--yet the button was never addressed. Worse, the vehicle came back with new problems: a strong burnt rubber odor, a non-functioning driver-side defogger, and dashboard alerts that were not present before. At that point, communication began to deteriorate. The manager who had been responsive up until the sale suddenly became unavailable and handed me off to a sales representative, effectively washing his hands of the situation. It then took another full week of constant follow-ups just to get the dealership to agree to take the truck back and address all outstanding issues--including the steering wheel button that should have been fixed the first time. They have now had the truck for over another week. I reached out daily for updates because I rely on this vehicle, and responses were vague at best. Eventually, I contacted the Dodge service department directly--only to be informed that they had just received the truck that day. This means the vehicle sat untouched for four days, with no work being done and no transparency provided. Even more concerning, when asked what issues were being addressed, the representative could not identify half of them. This level of incompetence, lack of communication, and post-sale disregard is unacceptable for any dealership, let alone one selling a vehicle at this price point. Bottom line: this has been a massive disappointment from start to finish. Once the sale was completed, accountability vanished. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing here to take their business elsewhere. At this point, legal counsel is being consulted, as the truck has been in the dealership's possession longer than it has been in mine since purchase, and confidence in the vehicle's reliability is gone. It's a shame because interested them with purchasing this $80,000 vehicle. Update as of 1/12/25..... called Dodge to check on my truck, they have no had it over a week. They haven't done a thing to it other than check the defogger they stated Riverside Nissan didn't ask them to fix any of the other issues I've repeatedly asked to be fixed. So now the truck is there longer. This is an embarrassment. Tomorrow I'm reporting this to corporate and speaking to my attorney. They might as well keep the truck, it's been in repair longer than I've owned it. I sent the sales rep and general manager a text about the situation and neither have enough respect to respond. After I had a problem with my son's, 2023 Nissan Altima's battery holding a charge. I brought it down to Riverside Nissan, and after a few hiccups, we were able to get the battery replaced due to some inconclusive readings during the testing of the battery. It was ultimately decided by the service manager to replace the battery rather than put another charge on it and then have it act up on my son while I was on the road, which made me happy, not having to worry about any further issues with the battery. I was very satisfied with the assistance that I got and the people that were handling the situation did excellent work in assisting me. read more

This place is an absolute joke. One interaction with this place and you can tell they make their money from predatory lending and sales practices, taking advantage of folks who don't know any better. Even if you come in here looking to get an oil filter or another maintenance item from the parts department, they'll do the whole dog and pony show where they go into a back room for 5-10 minutes, "talk to their manager," come back out, and make up some random price that's 5x over retail, saying "that's the best we can do." Purchased my lease over a year and a half ago with Steve, who was a great salesman. From day one there was an issue with the radio of the vehicle. Then a year later the high beams totally stopped working and the sensors in the backseat go off occasionally, with no one occupying the seats. I have reached out to the Service department via email and phone with no response. I made an appointment to have the car looked at receptionist automatically states I must pay over 200 just to have it diagnosed of course I advised them, this is a brand new car and should not be having issues. I asked to have the service department manager return my call until this day I have not received a call. But the attitude I was given during that conversation was unacceptable and I had to disconnect the call! This place stinks! I went in because I needed a piece to reattach my seatbelt to the base. Of course, they were recommending to replace the entire seatbelt even though there was one small piece that I needed. Just to look at my car I paid $175 and believe it or not they were telling me that it was going to cost $800 to replace, so ridiculous! All these car dealers are a scam. If you google...Seatbelts cost between $50-$85 depending... So how can you justify $800 even if that includes labor. I obviously didn't go ahead and fix the piece. When I heard $800, I automatically said no but then as I had already left, I decided to call back because maybe they were recommending other things that they were recommending needed to be done to my car. My phone call would've maybe taken a total of two minutes. I called and the clerk picked up and sounded annoyed. She told me she would transfer me to the person who helped me. It rang a couple times, and then I could audibly hear someone pick up and hang up the phone. I called back again& same thing again... the person picked up and hung up again. On the third time I was able to get through but I was really disappointed overall with my experience with this business. read more

Told me my car has a full 5 year warranty when in fact it was a limited warranty and finance tried to get me to purchase another one. My biggest issue was that they only gave me one key to the car and it ended up costing a lot to get a spare! Turns out they reimbursed me for the key. So they were trying to make it right. Be ware After I had service completed with basic oil change on Friday the following Monday my 2024 nissan pathfinder went into "limp mode" going only 30 miles per hour and I barely made to park safely. I called the dealership (riverside Rome ga) while on the side of the road and it was going to be a week to check It. After having it checked out we found they had left the air cleaner box sensor unplugged which caused the initial problem and put me in a dangerous situation With de-rated car only running 30 miles per hour. We had the problem corrected and it has ran fine ever since. The dealership wasn't very helpful in getting me help. Just beware. read more

I asked what the best total out the door price would be & that I would be paying cash & didn't want to waste their time or my time coming there to be hit with a bunch of nonsense add on fees. They said they hadn't moved many cars lately & to come in & they would do a good deal close to that number. After we arrived they gave us their best deal which was $27000 out the door. Tons of bogus add on fees & a complete waste of time. I did not appreciate the way they do business & would not recommend Riverside Nissan. I ended up buying similar car elsewhere that same day. Stay away from this Nissan dealership, especially their service department. Long story short, I took my car into this dealership's service department for an oil change and less than 10 days later, the transmission failed. After the service was done, the service advisor, Kejdi Baco, literally told me my car was in "tip-top" shape and 9 days later the transmission malfunction while I was on the highway. My transmission has never experienced any problems, ever. From research, transmission problems are gradual and you usually experience signs leading up its failure -- it's not overnight -- unless it has been tampered with, be it by accident or on purpose. Travis Roberson is the general manager, and has ignored requests and concerns about my transmission problem, as it was the last place I took the car, to which the transmission failed not long after. ' Please stay away from this dealership and save your money. These people are frauds and are practicing deceptive tactics to prey on mindless consumers since dealerships are no longer making any money. If anyone is looking to lease a vehicle from Riverside Nissan - Hackensack, NJ please think twice. Here is my situation: On December 19th, 2022, I leased my third vehicle from Riverside Nissan. I had my reservations because my last lease had a few issues. The rubber sealant around my front windshield was rising in the corner and the second issue was never receiving my registration renewal (this was during the pandemic). I was driving around with an expired registration for a couple of months. I take ownership of this because I should have checked. During my scheduled service on Monday, January 29th of this year I found out there was a recall issue which no one contacted me about. Since April 2023, I have been receiving toll violations for a license plate (and vehicle) that doesn't belong to me. The toll violation was for the person who purchased my previous leased vehicle that I surrendered in December 2022. Through my research, I found out the new owner's name/address and was able to give that information to the DMV. I was told that the problem had been corrected and a letter was issued to me stating this. I continued to receive toll violations for the next 8 months (20+ notices). Every time that I received a toll violation, I would dispute it and attach the letter received from DMV as proof and it would be closed. On January 31, 2024, I went to the DMV in person to get assistance with this ongoing issue. I found out that Nissan never submitted the lessee and turn-in document which would release me from being associated with that vehicle. The vehicle identification number (VIN) was still listed under my name, but the ownership of the vehicle was in the new owner's name. I contacted Riverside Nissan several times in person and by phone to help with this issue. Riverside Nissan took no accountability for this issue and told me that several customers were experiencing the same issue, and it was the DMV's fault. I have worked in the customer service field for many years and have always shown professionalism and empathy for issues that my customers were experiencing. If possible, I would come up with a solution to assist my customers. Nissan did none of that. They just placed blame on the DMV for everything, although the paperwork submitted for the title, plate and registration originated with Riverside Nissan. I had to physically go back to Riverside Nissan for the lessee and turn-in document in order to submit, for the first time, to the DMV. This document submission was clearly their job from the beginning. Never once did I receive any apology or even empathy for having to go through this. Nissan's said vision statement is to "enrich people's lives, building trust with our employees, customers, dealers, partners, shareholders, and the world at large". Riverside Nissan is only concerned about increasing their bottom line and once you purchase or lease their vehicles everything else is your problem. I have no trust in Nissan at all and anyone else, as a consumer, should think twice before committing hard earned currency to an entity that seemingly is not committed to customer service. I went to Riverside Nissan to test drive and hopefully purchase a Nissan Certified 2020 Nissan Rogue SL priced at $25,375 that I found on Cars.com. I have included pictures with the pricing and description. NOWHERE does it mention a $2995 additional dealer prep fee or nearly double the document fees of other dealers I have visited. I could deal with the higher doc fees, but don't advertise a certified vehicle for one price and then tack on the costs to prepare the vehicle to sell as certified. That's called false advertising. Salesman was great, the Kick was great and was ready to try and make a deal for a lease. The numbers came back way higher than online. Almost double for the monthly payment with a lower down payment. I told this to him so he said I'll get my manager and see what we can do. Which I hate. It means they were trying to get more and I hate haggling but I understand that's the way it works. Manager came over and I explained everything and he said well the internet site doesn't include the taxes and fees. And I said it did, it asked for my location, they are pretty much lying about the cost on the website. He said, "well you have to be able to read", got up and walked away. So I did do. I drove to Route 17 S Nissan. Told them I didn't need to waste anybody's time and asked to see their best price on the same exact vehicle. It was about $100 less. Not sure what's going on at Riverside but as long as my insurance payment comes through, they lost a sale as I will be buying from Route 17S. I do feel bad for the salesman, he was a nice guy, answered all my questions and lost a sale because of his manager. Contacted dealership regarding a certified Nissan advertised via mcu bank website. Inquired about the Riverdale Nissan cpo charge of 3,000.00. I was told that it's for riverside Nissan extended warranty. I explained to him that I refuse to pay for their extended warranty when the car is certified Nissan. They will do their best to lie to you and ripped you off. My recall was not done and it was a safety issue. ABS actuator and Fluid changed to a Premium dot3 to dot4 but nothing was done. Instead they try to sell some services that I dont need because my car was Well care off. They supposed to changed the old brake Fluid to dot4 but wasnt done. I called the service Manager Steve Mannesis and Show him that the Fluid was not changed but he insisted that it was. When I Show him the before and after picture He still insist that it was changed. After I left that place the service Manager called me twice to come back and they will changed the brake Fluid and will give a free changed oil which I declined. Update: The issues I've faced when buying the car came to a head. They offer your first service for free, and I got an oil change. I made an appointment and when I arrived they pushed it back by 30 minutes dut to others showing up without an appointment, and then they added on another recall service (which I had no say in, they just said it had to be done before it was released back to me) which added another 30 min. A 30 min oil change turned into an hour and a half ordeal. I told him this was quite an inconvenience. Then the representative, Jose, started arguing with me saying there's nothing he can do because there are multiple cars ahead (who came without an appointment). I told him that I understand but it's not my fault they're running behind and that this is still an inconvenience. After the wait Jose said they washed the car to makeup for the long wait time, but when I saw the car it was still dusty, which I mentioned. Jose said "are you still -- like are you serious? Wow". To me, if you're trying to make up for a lack in service you need to actually do what you said, not half-ass it and get mad when the customer notices. The more I looked, the more I noticed that there was still dust, dirt, and mud all over the wheels and car. It didn't look washed AT ALL. read more

Vehicle was fine. Sales department is horrible. Paid $37,000. in full on signing the contract. After a month of waiting for plates (temps expired) I went to the dealership. They screwed up the registration and claimed they didn't have a title yet. When I complained and called them on it, they suddenly found the title but it is listed as a replacement title. They charged a $785.00 documents fee on the sale but now I am left to go to DMV to fix everything. Save yourself some aggravation. Don't shop here they're sketchy at best. read more

Mae made sure I was totally satisfied with the vehicle I was leasing, and went above and beyond to ensure my happiness. Jairo Salazar gave me a written quote on a Pathfinder n insisted I come in next day to complete deal; I did today and as I was ready to give the first month payment the mgr came by and said to me that there was an error I have to pay Tax on top of the deal that I had email all was inclusive and he didn't have answer for me just Sorry?? I drove there 40 miles just to walk away from deal without even being compensated for their error. Riverside Nissan used a deceptive bait-and-switch tactic (see the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act as well as NJSA 2C:21-7(e)). On 6/12/21, my parents came upon a TrueCar, Inc. advertisement, listed in conjunction with Riverside Nissan (preserved and available upon request). Stock Number #210628 (VIN #JN1BJ1BW4MW667575) was listed for sale for $25,305, net of all fees, other than tax. Dealerships are legally required to honor their advertised prices, so long as the specific stock number is in their inventory. However, some deceptive dealerships will intentionally circulate cheap advertisements of UNAVAILABLE vehicles, with the intention of drawing in customers. These dealerships typically inform customers that the vehicles are in stock, and direct them to go to the dealership in person in order to purchase the vehicle. Once buyers arrive, they find out that the vehicle is not in stock, but that the dealership can sell them a similar vehicle at a much higher price. In order to avoid this tactic, my parents and I drove to Riverside Nissan on 6/12/21, around 4pm, and called the dealership before walking in. The availability of Stock Number #210628 was unconditionally confirmed, and the representative was eager to schedule an appointment for us to come in to buy it. Only moments later, we walked into the dealership and met with Sales Representative Danny, who was acting under the direction of Sales Manager Christina Anello. Danny stated that the vehicle was, "literally just sold; right now," (6/12/21, at about 4pm). Spoiler alert: We checked with TrueCar a few days later, and Riverside Nissan was still advertising this discounted vehicle as available. The notion that Danny's statement was truthful is laughable. My parents and I quickly advised Danny that we were not interested in purchasing any vehicle, other than the exact make, model, and trim specified in the advertisement, and other than for the exact price listed in the advertisement. We were ready to walk out. However, Danny stated that he would order an identical vehicle (make / model / trim) for my parents, and would honor the advertised price. We were skeptical, so before proceeding further, we clarified the terms of this deal. Danny consulted with Manager Anello and returned to us, confirming that we would pay $25,305, net of all fees, other than tax. We told Danny, that if this is indeed the price, we would buy the vehicle, but we asked again for a specific "YES/NO" confirmation. Danny unequivocally confirmed that we would pay the advertised price for the vehicle, which would be ordered for us. We made it clear, that if the price was not $25,305, we did not wish to continue. After consulting with Manager Anello, the representative returned with a myriad of forms, and directed my father to provide highly sensitive personal information (SSN, etc.) Manager Anello spoke to us a number of times throughout this process, and promulgated the same information as Danny. During this time, Danny consulted with Manager Anello at least three times, reassuring us of the price each time. After obtaining all of the sensitive information, Danny began completing forms in conjunction with the transaction and an impending non-refundable deposit, which was to finalize the sale. However, *drumroll* the price of the vehicle was now $26,500 + fees + tax, which would total at least $2200 more than agreed upon. When confronted, Danny openly admitted that the dealership would not abide by the terms that had been previously agreed upon. Furthermore, Danny, in the presence of Manager Christina Anello, stated, "we don't do true car anymore," implying that the dealership no longer honors the prices promised in their internet advertisements. Upset with having provided sensitive personal information under false pretenses, as well as falling victim to deceptive business practices, we walked out. Days later, I spoke with General Manager Travis Roberson, who tried to smooth over the situation by promising to honor the agreed-upon price, but only if he could "obtain" such a vehicle. Needed a rear bumper replaced and was told by service to go to the parts dept. as it had to be ordered separately. Ordered the bumper for $504 then was instructed to make an appointment in the service dept. to get make an appointment to have it installed when it arrived. Service dept. estimated about 1-1/2 labor to install at about $225. I agree. The bumper arrived and I dropped the car off to have it installed at my appointment the next week. About 15 minutes after I dropped the car off and left the service dept., I get a call from them telling me that the bumper is "black and unpainted to match my car and it will need to be sent to a body shop across the street to be painted and I need to make an appointment with them before they can install it. I immediately went back and the parts dept. manager tells me "that bumpers always come in unpainted and I should have know that". Like I really know that???? I proceeded to the auto body place across the street who then tell me it would be around $600+ to paint the bumper but there's a few additional trim items that isn't supplied with the bumper and I needed to order those at additional cost from Nissan. At this point, the cost of this ordeal has about doubled. I go back to the service dept. and tell them that they should have told me upfront about the painting and additional trim items that will be needed and ask for my money back for the bumper. I'm then told by the parts manager that "the bumper was specially ordered and there are no refunds allowed due to their policy". I would not accept that excuse and the manager then agreed that he would refund the cost of the bumper but "I needed to pay a 20% restocking fee that came out to about $100. I accepted this just to get out of there since I was not going to let them do the work and I got the other $400 of the bumper cost refunded. I'll find another honest repair shop and give them the job. If you go to Hackensack Nissan Service for a bumper replacement, beware. What appears to be an easy replacement could become quite complicated with an auto body shop being needed to be involved and getting very costly. read more

Colossal waste of time stay away want to sell there bullshit warranty for 3000$ on there used cars I should of read the yelp reviews before i went. Not the most upfront or honest dealership in my opinion. The most dishonest dealership I ever been to.
