There was a person attending with a serious nut allergy so when I called in my order I asked for an assortment but none with nuts or peanut butter. I regularly come here and get a dozen of my favorites as gifts for friends and special occasions. Today being Valentine's Day they were not taking phone orders, I completely understand that they are busy but I called ahead to ask if they were stocked and when I should come in. Whoever I spoke to told me that they were restocking in 20 minutes and I should come in then. Having a new baby is very difficult to just up and go but I really wanted to get my husband a dozen of his favorites. So I waited 20 minutes and ran out the door. When I got there, they told me that they were going to be restocking in about 15 to 20 minutes after I had just spoke to someone and they told me they would be restocked by the time I got there. Again, I understand that they are busy and that's great that they regularly run out. It's the fact that they are a small business and I came in to buy from them because they are good and I like to support local businesses. So I explained to them that because I have a new baby (and drove from Jurupa valley) if they could please take my order since I was there and allow me to pick up later? They told me NO that they weren't taking orders, but it makes absolutely no sense when I am physically there and willing to pay in advance when they were going to put them out in 10 to 15 minutes. My baby needed to be fed, and I didn't have the luxury of sticking around to wait as it would take me 15 minutes to get home on top of waiting.I just feel like they could have made an exception since I did wait for 20 minutes like they mentioned over the phone and physically went in when it was difficult. I think Customer service is seriously lacking in a lot of businesses and it's really sad. So because of this, I do not recommend this business and they lost a customer. read more

At 9.95 a dozen, these cookies are worth every cent. I bought a dozen this morning and was not disappointed. I tried the Riverside cookie (lemon dipped in dark chocolate, Campfire (smores) Peanut butter with a chocolate Kiss, German Chocolate cake (loved that the coconut was not overbearing), and Oatmeal Raisin. My wife and I have stopped here once, and honestly we were just not impressed. Maybe we had a preconceived notion of what a cookie shop looks like- big gorgeous tempting cookies displayed in all their glory. Ones that you could be satisfied splitting with a friend or really treat your cheat day and gobble down by yourself. This place opts for the smaller standard size cookies, which was fine. My wife picked out a few to try and I took a bite of each. All of them were okay. Nothing remarkable or interesting that I've never seen before. Definitely nothing I couldn't do better at home. Other than that, the shop was cute and the staff was friendly. Maybe we missed out on something better we should of tried. Riverside Cookie Shoppe came recommended to me by a friend as a gift for another friend. Unfortunately the place where I asked for the delivery to be made was not typical, and the cookies were routed to who-knows-where. Even though it was not RCS's problem, when I called the shop to find out where the cookies were, the owner sprung into action, repacked the cookies, and hand-delivered them to an area where they could be picked up for the recipient right away. What a gem! I was getting my hair done, my daughter got bored so with color in my hair, we went in search of a little snack. The sign on the street said "cookies". I thought, why not. Went inside it looked like a cute country donut shoppe. There were amazing choices it was hard to choose. We picked 5, earthquake, camp fire, coco puff, salted carmel Nutella and Riverside cookie.
