After 3 years, time for an update! This place still has the BEST COOKIES IN THE IE. No joke. Located on Brockton in Riverside. 15-20 minute drive from Corona but definitely worth it. The cookies are on the smaller side but this is great because you can try more! They are always soft and chewy. The chocolate chip cookie batter is sooo good. The amount of salt and sugar is perfect. I haven't seen this anywhere else, but one of my favorites is the Justacookie. Chocolate chip without the chips!! Just a hunk of baked cookie batter!!! My other favorite is the Riverside cookie. I believe its a sugar half dipped in dark chocolate with orange zest/crystals on top!! The campfire (s'mores) is awesome too. The service is always excellent and they will answer any questions you have. I believe you can call ahead and have some cookies set aside for pickup later. This is a great way to make sure you get your favorites. The campfire and Riverside cookie were sold out by 12pm today. The location decor fits in with the area as more old time, vintage surroundings. There are many choices of cookies to choose from. The flavors don't change too much aside from seasonal offerings. One of the main things I like is it is not expensive compared to other specialty cookie shops. Cookies are 95 cents each and a dozen cost just under 10 bucks. All the cookies I tried here were good. My favorite was the hazelnut cookie. They have a lot of great options if you like chocolate cookies. They also have vegan cookies also. I like the variety of different cookies that are sold here. I grew up in a coastal town that cherishes 'old fashioned'. If a shop wasn't a 'shoppe' with that 'pe' on the end it was considered 'modern'. The first chance I got to leave all that saccharin quaint crapola I took it. So when I saw this cookie 'shoppe' for the first time I made a bad joke about it. Without even going in. "Oh look," I said to my partner in crime, "a shoppe". (She grew up in a similar town.) Today I was back in that neighborhood and saw their sidewalk sign. Guess that is said? 'Cookies'. I almost smirked. YA THINK? So I dipped in for a minute. Expecting to see old school MEH cookies. Dry and dull in unnatural colors. (Do you know the kind I mean? I guess they're from mixes.) What I saw instead was -- -- a handsome selection of about a dozen different types of cookies. Many classic flavors and a few fun and different. Nothing hipster bizarre like vanilla basil with a purple stripe of something. Chocolate chips, two different kinds of peanut butter, some white chocolate with cranberry action. And my 'chef' eyes could simply see the butter in them. I knew they weren't going to be dry but decent. My first bite said 'delectable'. And it didn't matter what cookie. Our goal today was to pick up some cookies before daughter's shift on campus at a food service. We didn't have time for breakfast and almost didn't make it as there was a big car fire on the 91E. We noticed a mother with her young son in the store. We stood on a social distancing marker 12 ft. away to give them plenty of room and not crowd them as did the customer waiting outside the shoppe for us. We like the young ladies behind the counter. As soon as you enter, they greet you and let you know they will be right with you. They also are ready to get your cookies when you are ready to let them know which ones. Their helpful and polite attitude is precious. We had to get my daughter's favorites which are the peanut butter blossom cookies. They were the last 2 for this morning. She also likes the Riverside. I like the Snowberry cookie and the Bon Bons that we were introduced to the last time we were in. We also got 2 lemon, 1 snickerdoodle, and 1 chocolate espresso. The baked cookies fill the shoppe with such a delicious aroma that you just want to stay there to take it all in, but we had to get back to campus. read more

One of my favorite cookie shops! I found this randomly several years ago when I was still doing my degree at UCR. I wanted cookies one day, searched on yelp and found this little place so I decided, hey, why not I'll pass by it on the way home anyway. A great decision on my part because the cookies here are some of the best I've had. They are a classic, homemade style instead of trendy or huge bakery ones and I love that. You can actually have more than one! The flavors are also more classic and they have a good variety. And they have the perfect cookie texture imo, slightly crispy edges with a softer center. Man I've been trying this last month to get my cookie fix and I finally got it. Usually I'll have bad luck and it's either Monday (not open, now I know) or the shop is closed for some reason. First off the owner is a sweet and amazing person. Why? Because when I first went into the shop and all the chocolate chip cookies (CCC) were gone except one. She saw my eyes in despair and asked "which ones are gone?" She immediately knew (lol) I told her it's the CCC. She told her employee to put that one aside for me... hell yeah, what she did was... idk how to describe it I was just so happy because those are my favorite cookies. While other people were in front of me she did that, if you are reading this I really do appreciate it and it really meant a lot to me. "Wow big deal she put it aside for you big whoop" I can imagine some reading this might think that well yeah, big f***ing whoop it is for me. There's nothing like getting taken care like that. The employees there are awesome. This first time I went the gentleman there took care of me very well. Hooked me with a rewards card so that once it's stamped out I get a free cookie/dozen(maybe). I forgot what they hook you with but I'm sure it'll be fire! Today I had a young women take care of me and she was very nice/delightful. Cookie time!!!! I first had these when my previous employer brought them to the shop. Ever since then I was sold. Nothing beats a home made cookie, NOTHING!!! Made from scratch that's what I love about them. I cringe when I see a packet of oreo or chips ahoy garbage, store bought free for a 3 year now and plan on keeping it that way with this amazing shop. My all time favorite cookie is the chocolate chip (no surprise there I mention that already) so to see they had a batch with walnuts in it I had to have them as well! It's like this place was reading my mind last week. I was thinking of calling in and placing an order for such a cookie but I am not sure if they can make a special order but it never hurts to ask. You can not go wrong with any of their other creations!! Every cookie that I've had from there is an experience. Not one cookie taste the same! Saw this place on yelp with 5 stars and it sparked my curiousity. Must be really good if it has 5 stars but then you always get that small thought in your head. "What if it has 5 stars but you have a bad experience" welp that thought came and went as soon as i tried their cookies. Crunchy yet soft in the middle yuuuummmm. Usually i can't eat cookies without milk but i finished like 3 of them without wanting any milk. They were just that good! We trued a variety kf them and they were all good. Cookies are great! However it's 12:35pm on a Friday and they're all out of the most popular cookies chocolate chip with walnut and regular chocolate chip. Apparently they close at 5pm, this has happened a few times. My recommendation for anyone planning a trip, call before you go! My feedback to the management team, please prep more cookies for those that can't make it between the hours of 10am - 11am. It's so hard to believe that you guys run out of cookies within 2-3hrs of operation, with 4 more hours remaining in your day. Beyond that, service is great and cookies are delicious! read more
