Needed help color matching a paint from Home Depot and Brandy was exceptional with her assistance. I called to get some information on a Saturday and she gave me a few different brands to do research on and offered a lot of helpful tips to guide m. She also told me about a sale they were having that was running through Monday only. So I made it in on Monday and got sample paints of the brands I had researched. I told her I was going to take the paints home let them dry and then I would call her with the brand I wanted to purchase. I gave her a call she had my paint out and ready for me to pick up a few hours later. She may have just been doing her job but she was a great help with someone who is foreign to the world of paint. I went to Ace hardware today looking for a network jack toner. I was greeted by a kindly gentleman by the name of Mark. I expressed to him what I needed and he kindly said that Ace did not carry what I needed. The next thing he said to me really shocked me! He indicated to me that he had a toner outside in his truck. This man did not know me from the man in the moon, still he was willing to let me borrow his personal tool. Wow!! Talk about great customer service, I couldn't wait to write this review. There is still something to be said about a hardware store like Ace. They have 90% of the things I need and you don't have to search around in a massive cave like Home Depot or Lowes. I think a couple run this location, so helpful and kind! A gentlemen helped me find what I needed AND provided directions on how. I just wanted to spray paint the wooden border of cork/white board I have. He suggested a sand sponge, blue tape, and of course the exact color I was looking for, and it didn't cost me much. Unable to get good plumbing advice at Lowes I went to Woodcrest Ace hardware and was amazed at the customer service I received. Not only were they helpful , I got the feeling that they were really concerned that I got the job done properly. The information and genuine concern is so rare in todays retail business. Mark was so knowledgeable and helpful I was able to do the job without any problems. Woodcrest Ace Hardware REALLY IS "The HELPFUL Hardware Store"!! They actually CARE if you are getting the best service and products possible. Example: I ordered a patio umbrella and a soaker hose system on line to be picked up at this store and NANCY called to let me know that the umbrella had arrived but that the soaker hose kit wasn't in yet. I asked NANCY to hold the umbrella until the "hose thingy" arrived to save on gas and just make one trip over there. The next morning NANCY called to say that the umbrella was NOT THE RIGHT COLOR, that she would send it back and make SURE that the color I ordered was indeed correct! WHO EVEN CHECKS THOSE LITTLE BUT IMPORTANT DETAILS ANY MORE??? Needless to say, I was so grateful and impressed with NANCY'S sharp eye and exemplary customer service. NANCY even knew what stock was on hand when I asked her about some wonderful solar path lights we had purchased two weeks ago and loved so much that I decided to buy more of them. I LOVE this store, I think that all of the employees do their very best to be of service, the products arrive before the date stated on line and the staff call you immediately upon their arrival. Last week they held chaise lounges for us because we couldn't fit them all in our car at once and helped my husband load them. Honestly, I just cannot do these folks justice with my simple words.
