I can't say enough good things about Ritz Nails. My neighbor recommended Helen and Lily to me. They are not only amazing at doing beautiful nails but they are the sweetest women. Today I went in a few hours after I had my pedicure because there was a problem with the polish on one of my toes. BEWARE! I really want to like this place as everyone is really nice. End of January, I got a basic manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was great. The manicure left me with nail bed damage and a cut. It's been 5 months and my nail is still messed up where the one nail with damage is growing out thick and weird. This has never ever happened to me. Now I need to make an appointment with my doctor to see what I need to have done. It is still tender to the touch at times. I read when the nail technicians are not educated properly or have enough experience, this happens. I haven't went to a nail salon in a year and finally went and this happens. read more

Wow, can I give no stars? I went in today for a manicure and pedicure. They did a horrible job as you will see from the picture. Not only that, but this was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have ever had in a nail salon. I only wanted regular nail polish and they would not stop pressing me to get gel. One of the technicians handed me a menu and asked if I wanted to upgrade my mani/pedi and when I said no, the technician working on my feet straight up SCOFFED. After that they proceeded to ask at least another 3-4 times if I wanted gel and why I didn't want it and I had to lie and say I couldn't have gel because of work to get them off my back. Then one of the ladies asked me who does my eyebrows. I told her I just got them done and she responds with "why did they leave your eyebrows long like that? They look so long". Wtf????? I understand these people are trying to make a living but do not try to make me feel insecure just so you can make an extra $10 bucks. Lastly, it's not a secret that nail technicians will talk about you because they know we can't understand, but they were so beyond obvious glancing back and forth and nodding their head towards me. My gosh. I wanted to leave the second I sat down. I just wanted some time to relax and get my nails done after a tough week but I regret coming here. I will never ever come back. i had my nails done here a little less than a week ago. i got a full gel x set. 1. they didn't have the a variety of lengths like other salons do. i wanted a medium stiletto, but instead was given long nails and had them become shortened which led to uneven shapes and lengths. the whole point of a gel x set is to have perfectly consistent nails on application. 2. the type of nail extension is so obviously cheap. the nail bends on my nails and folds over which has never happened on any other of my gel x sets at any other salon. this is the thinnest, and most plastic feeling gel x set I ever got. overall disappointing.... I got a pedicure as well, the worst pedicure ever. My toes weren't fully painted and it was just not good. read more

I've been coming to see Tammy for 3 years and I'm so impressed with her! My nails stay on for 3 weeks easily and never lift from the bottom (Nothing worse that it catching on hair when washing it). I went to this place when indoor salons began opening and I came in without an appointment asking for a mani& pedi. They always try to upsell you to the Deluxe mani pedi package when they have a basic package that's not listed on their menu. Other than that, they're ok at their job. Basically, they get the job done and the salon itself has a variety of colors. The techs sometimes aren't very patient with their job so they rush and as a result, I get globby nail polish smeared over my nails. The nail polish is lumpy and isn't smoothed out so that some areas are thin and you can see the inconsistency of the polish over your nail. I only come here because I live close by but I'll probably hardly return. When you pay for the callous upgrade, they don't do anything different and I come home with my heels still calloused. For a short drive further, I can drive to Fountain Valley where prices are cheaper and techs are better. read more

I love this spot has been coming monthly for 2 years. James, the owner always greets me and remembers my name. Make sure to Request MICHELLE, TRACY or NINA. These ladies are good, attentive to details and friendly. They take their time with your cuticles and massages. I usually do the deluxe package which is a great deal with paraffin wax for hands and feet, extra 10 min massage. Try to avoid rush hour - after work or weekends. This place has been a go-to for me for about 5 years. I left for a while for another salon that was about $4 less per manicure but then they raised their prices so back to Ritz I go. The space is NICE, clean and fresh and well lit and just really pleasant to be in. They have a good crew and the manager keeps things on point. He's sweet and he adds to the experience. This salon is near my work so I come by when it's convenient for about a year. Their salon is very nice and clean.... I've seen about 3 different nail techs and they have all done a great job on my hands for dip powder color. Staff is friendly and professional. My nails always look great. Appointment was easy to make over the phone, but I wasn't serviced until 3:30 when my appointment was at 3 which was a little inconvenient. If I could give 0 stars I would. First things first, they don't use plastic liners for their pedicure bowls, they aren't very friendly either, I went in for a fill and a pedicure because I'm going to a vacation today and my regular nail tech was out sick. Anyway, I asked the girl to cut a bit of my nails which she did and because of all the filing she did they ended up being shorter than expected which is fine and I was willing to over look it, one of my toe nails needs a nail since mine was too short and my feet looked weird the girls that did my pedi did not know how to put on nails on toes so another lady came in with a stank face and did it for me didn't care and decided I would enjoy my relaxing time, the pedicure went well, I added extra massage and all was good, after paying $118 with my card and $20 tip ($10 & $10 for each tech) the girl that did my pedicure grabbed the money laughed with the front desk guy and left, not even a thank you or anything. Whatever, went to my car and I wasn't very pleased with the design but I was willing to over look it as well, the more and more I looked at my nails the more bumpy they would look not to mention how tough my nails were, I pulled my hair 3 times that night, I had to file them myself, the next day I take a shower and I come out with the nails polish on my left foot lifter and the nail polish on the right foot looking bubbly as if the water had gone inside. I took pictures, called the manager and told them I would be unable to come in for them to fix because I was going into vacation next day (today) and I live far from where they are located. I requested a refund because now I have to go out of my busy schedule yet again to fix the bad job these people did on me. Long story short, the guy and I went back and forth for the entire afternoon , mind you I was already stressed out about my trip now I have to go and get this done and squeeze that in. The guy pretty much called me a liar and told me that I had done that to my toes and my nails (the audacity!!!!) and if i wasn't human because I was asking for the money I paid them. I am a hard worker and now days getting your nails done is not THAT cheap, it's pretty pricey and some of us can't afford to just spend $200 buck on nails. Anyway, I hope that you see this review and you never EVER go there. The products suck, the techs need proper training as well as being more clean and friendly. I hope this helps as a reminder that you don't have to stay silent when it's you the one that's paying them to do a good job. Special thanks to Holly my pedicurist and Jennifer who did my nails and had to replace over three nails because they were lifting. Anybody who does that gets five stars in my book because most places won't do any nail removal they will just lazily slap more acrylic over it and hope that it will stick. Not Jennifer. Halle even went the extra mile to make sure that my pedicure matched my nails I was about to tell her she was working so hard and thanks so much for her attention to detail I left them both a really nice tip at least I hope it was really nice tip. The nails kept curing quickly in the hot sunlight and it got so bad that Jennifer literally knew she had to do my nails in 10 seconds each and she actually did it. Despite the heat from the sun the tents kept me pretty air-conditioned and I think them so much for their hospitality and investment in their business. I truly feel like I have to dump my old salon they took extra special care of me sometimes if you stay at a salon too long they start passing through, and not worrying about the broken nails. They were very professional very enduring and worked to make everything spectacular and provided me with conversation. I had not had a pedicure massage scrub the works it was an amazing pedicure and they did such a good job to make my feet beautiful again I have to stand at work so that is definitely saying a lot. read more

Not happy at all with my nails. I forgot the name of the girl who did them for me though! She did my feet first (regular nail polish) it was ok, I asked her to do Gel polish for my finger nails, she was not experienced at all. She was doing very fast , without pay much attention, and the result is what you see in the photos! I asked her to do it one more time. She said its because she just opened a new nail polish and it is watery! :| after she finished for the last time, It looked nicer in the light of the salon and I thought she finally fixed it but I was wrong! I paid tip to her too! I wish I knew her name! When I came out and got home I realized she did such a messy, creepy job!! She needs to learn more how to work with gel! Been here twice, the first time Jody did a super last minute manicure after my pedicure. I was impressed at how quickly she worked. No issues whatsoever, except one nail was a little thicker underneath from the powder acrylic. The second time I walked in & Dana took care of me. In & out in under an hour! I changed my shape from round to square, trying to get them as short as possible (could've been shorter but oh well) & I told her I wanted rose gold, for mother's day. I first decided to try Ritz Nails because I was at The District and my last gel manicure from another salon didn't last long enough without peeling. That was on a Sunday, and it was busy so I had a little bit of a wait before being seen for the manicure. Holly was my manicurist that day, and I was so happy with the service she provided! She was gentle with everything from gel polish removal to cuticle cutting, and best of all, the color turned out great and lasted for at least a 1.5 weeks before I had any chipping at all. I also got several compliments on the blue color I chose (110), which was different from those I've seen offered at other salons. Because of my great experience with Holly, I made an appointment with her for a Monday afternoon 2 weeks later and also decided to get a pedicure. My pedicurist, Hannah, was also very gentle and kind. And once again, Holly did not disappoint! She is such a perfectionist and artist of her craft, paying close attention to details to ensure my manicure turns out flawless! One of my favorite features of the Ritz Salon is that I don't feel pressured to upgrade my treatments... upgrades are offered but no attitude is given when I decline. FYI there are 4 levels of pedicures offered and callous removal is $5 extra. If you're looking for a nice salon with friendly, professional staff and lasting gel polish, I highly recommend trying Ritz!!! read more

She was super sweet and gave me no attitude when I told her what I wanted (meaning no gel, many places will act rude if you do not get the gel.). She was very meticulous, and when I told her I wanted something a little different she changed it no problem. Ritz setup chairs and tables outdoor, so they can continue with the business. They do strongly recommend 6ft apart and offer free sanitizer at the entrance. And yes, they'd check customers' temperature too. The lady used alcohol spray to clean the table surface as I sat down, and her action made me feel safe. They also have barbicide certificates displayed. They really put a lot of effort in to dealing with the Covid-19 situation. The technicians were friendly and got the job done.
