I paid for the nicer package, but the oils they used just masked the calluses instead of actually removing them. They were really nice to talk to, but the experience felt really uncomfortable. There were two different people for both my pedicure and my manicure and I got cuts on both. I think the manicure person was a little nicer about it- she showed some courtesy. The pedicure person just kept poking and poking at it to stop the bleeding and she couldn't even hear me say ouch because she had earphones on. I really hate going to mani/pedi places for reasons like this and chose to go to this one because it had such high reviews. I had the most terrible experience. My daughter and I visited your salon on Mother's Day expecting a pleasant experience, but unfortunately it turned into a very disappointing one. We felt pressured into purchasing additional services that were presented as necessary. After agreeing to them, the services were still performed poorly and did not meet reasonable expectations. To make matters worse, we were repeatedly asked about tips in a way that made us feel uncomfortable. Instead of enjoying Mother's Day together, we left feeling frustrated and upset. What should have been a special day for us was negatively affected by this experience. Even more concerning, nearly four weeks later, both my daughter and I are still dealing with problems affecting our fingernails and toenails as a result of the services we received. We are still trying to treat and recover from the damage, which is completely unacceptable after paying for professional nail care. Because the services were not performed properly, because we felt pressured into additional services, and because we continue to experience ongoing problems with our nails, I am requesting a full refund. I'm not sure why this salon has a high rating at all. If you get gel nails expect for them to chip right away. But my biggest complaint is that I took my daughter to get her eyebrows waxed and they were reckless. She left with burns that I didn't notice until we walked out, poor thing was in so much pain. The staff are warm, attentive, and really take their time to make sure you're comfortable. I recently got their gel manicures and they did a good job. Although I had to ask my lady to redo a few coats as it wasn't as consistent, especially when painting on the french tips. I found that not only Pure Nail to be opened, but this location is only about 5 minutes from my house. So I called and in and was able to get an appointment for 15 minutes later. Located in the Woodbury Town Center, parking can be a pain. So even though I was about 10 minutes late, I was greeted and sat right away. Dianne was my technician, and she quickly got to work on removing the gel polish I had. One of the nice things of this salon is the beverage menu you are offered. Anything from a mimosa, to Vietnamese coffee, or just water! I was definitely feeling pampered. Dianne did a good job with the pedicure and gave a great massage! The reason for the 4 stars is because of the lack of hot stones used during the message, in which I had selected the package that included them. Maybe she forgot? My friend and I went in for an afternoon pick me up. We made appointments for 4pm and were shown to our nail techs without waiting too long. Met Lucy and Amy and they were so accommodating - they offered Vietnamese coffee, but we were good with water :) Lucy is a nail slayer! She had great attention to detail she whipped out the airbrush to get that fade effect, and she was so considerate to make sure she painted as many coats necessary to achieve the desired shade I wanted. She adorned by nails with sparkles, hydrated by skin with lotion, and made sure I was happy and comfortable. I glanced over at my girl friend, and her nails were on fleek with her tech, Amy. i just got my first service at pure nail bar this past sunday. overall, my experience there was very nice. nia was very sweet and mindful as she helped me with my detox spa pedicure package. the atmosphere is very nice, and they offer you beverages while you're getting your service (i'm not sure if they're priced, as i only requested water). though the service itself went smoothly and was relaxing as an experience, i'm disappointed in the outcome a few days later. as i mentioned, i only just got my pedicure on sunday (for which i paid $17 extra for the gel polish and $5 on top of that for the premium color i wanted). however, it's now tuesday night and already the polish on two of my toes has flaked off. i've gotten pedicures in the past and have never had this happen before, so i'm disappointed after paying about $80 for it to start deteriorating in the next 48 hours, when i was expecting it to at least last me the month for events i have upcoming. if it wasn't for this, it would have been a 5 star experience. i might try them again in the future because they've had so many good reviews, but it's unfortunate that this was my first experience from them. read more

My girl requested a manicure and pedicure. Normal standard manicure and pedicure. An older woman proceeded to do the pedicure and told her she wanted to cut her big toenail short. While cutting it back she cut into the front nail bed drawing blood then put some antiseptic on it as it bled profusely. My girl felt the sting but remained calm thinking it was a mere nick. Then the woman proceeded to do the other foot and did the same thing! Only on this other foot she cut the big toe nail ( again making this one bleed also ) at a diagonal angle making her nail look like a triangle! Then to make it even worse, she went back to the first foot she worked on and cut the big toe nail to match, in a triangle shape! Absurd! I went in and demanded a refund for this horrible work. I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years- acrylics. i also have my cosmetology license... and with that said... you can't teach taste. these nails were 115$ (including tax and 15%tip) you read correctly... they TAXED me.. weird I asked for cat eye, she did not use the magnet.. i asked for french tip on a new set... and she left this weird gap where you can literally see through my nails.. super gross... sure i could have said something.. but every time I requested her to make more narrow or clean the powder around my cuticle better, or more squavol in shape... she would rush me and said "later" after so many times of asking for what I want and her not understanding or delivering..i was over it.. she and I just don't jive.. i tipped her because she did what I asked for.. even if it didn't come out the way I wanted.. they're way too expensive for the end result, I'll never return, unless it's a complete emergency --as it's in my neighborhood.
