I loveeee CeraVe!
Natalie Y.

I prefer coming to Rite Aid than going to any other competitor drug store chains because it is always cleaner and brighter inside the store. Not to mention, there is always someone greeting me upon entering the store. Particularly this location in South Pasadena, is cleaner with friendly staff. I never had any problems and everyone here was helpful when I asked questions about stock and etc. Pharmacy staff is great too. I get my vaccinations and mom gets her medication here which is always on time with little to no wait. Plenty of private parking is available and theres a lot of stuff in stock compared to other locations based on my experiences. Dont forget to get some THRIFTY ICE CREAM! Oh! Download their app for weekly ad with lots of coupons to use! I bought 4 CeraVe products for $35 with their $10 coupon off of $40 along with BOGO free sale and manufacturer coupons. This is definitely a steal!

Left to right clockwise: mocha almond fudge, circus animal cookie (limited edition), cherry chip/pistachio almond Delicious! 5 stars

Must say Margarita was a sweet heart, made my visit here very welcoming. Definitely coming back if I'm around this location.

Went to pick up prescription, they don't know how to process the coupon. Complete waste of time!! Stay away from this pharmacy! They are not organize at all. When I called to check on status, they don't even process the prescription until you ask them to. I used the Self-Pay Savings Card, meaning I will pay out of pocket. Instead this pharmacist ran this coupon to my primary insurance a few times and it's denied. I kept explaining the medication will not be covered by Kaiser but she just kept running it through Kaiser and did not allow me to use my self-paying savings card. Update on 4/14: I called CVS Pharmacy to fill this prescription. 1.) They picked up the phone right away 2). CVS was able to apply the manufacture coupon and I was able to get the discounted price. What the hell is wrong with Walgreens then??? They don't pick up calls here and the pharmacist was rude. She took down my manufacture coupon code incorrect a few times and kept throwing it back to me that it doesn't work I pointed it out to her that she is missing a digit. Then when the code finally worked, she ran the code through my insurance and told me it was denied. I repeatedly told her it's self paying, doesn't need to go through insurance. I HATE this Walgreens!!

Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain - YELLOW BRICK ROAD SUNDAE: Mint Chocolate Chip, hot fudge, whipped cream, lime syrup, yellow LEGO bricks

If Willy Wonka needed a secret hideout, then this is just the place you'd find him. Behind the…read moreWhatchamacallits, near the Bottle Caps, past the Bit o' Honey, Yellow Cab-checkered Abba-Zabbas, Charleston Chews, next to the Wax Lips and Fun Dips, and by those explosive Pop Rocks. And yes, I can go on and on with a list of retro candies, but trust me, there's a good candy selection ranging from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and even as early as the 1920s (hint: Boston Baked Beans). You'll also find cool old school vintage gift ideas displayed on their shelves, like authentic tin toys, old fashioned candies, gag gifts, candles, and cards. Besides every candy imaginable and nostalgic games, there's a charming ice cream counter with retro bar seats, fresh soda flavors for unique creations, and a good selection of sundaes. I was feeling adventurous on that particular afternoon so I ordered the YELLOW BRICK ROAD SUNDAE. It's made with Mint Chocolate Chip, hot fudge, whipped cream, lime syrup, and yellow LEGO bricks. If I order this again, I'm skipping the lime syrup -- it's as awkward as one of those weird jello mold recipes from the 1950s. The LEGO bricks are cute and taste like Smarties only much, much harder. My friend ordered the simple FUDGE SUNDAE and it didn't disappoint. It had a good amount of fudge drizzled on top too. And the ice cream cones put smiles on the other kiddos' faces. Probably because the ice cream itself is creamy and premium tasting. As for the historical scoop: Fair Oaks Pharmacy has gone through a few name and design changes since its establishment. Open for more than a century along Route 66, it was first called the South Pasadena Pharmacy in 1915, then the Raymond Pharmacy in the 20's and 30's. This mom & pop shop finally found its permanent name in the early 40's, which brings us to the Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain, still open today in 2026. In fact, this year it'll turn 111 years old, so let's all make a wish that Fair Oaks Pharmacy stays open for another century more.

If this place goes out of business, I'll be really upset with the owners!…read more 1. No public restroom so they send me to Starbucks across the street (lining the pockets of Starbucks, which is actually very smart business and they sell far more than just sugary drinks, they're actually a bank, look it up.) 2. The hours make no sense - it's only open during regular peoples work hours (9-5 weekdays), including the pharmacy, which I wanted to switch my regular medication to, but decided not to because it's just too inconvenient. I really like the idea of supporting a classic Americana style ice cream and pharmacy combination business, but it's unfair to offload that responsibility onto customers and expect them totally inconvenience themselves. I suppose American history can perish... Fine!
