Looking for snack items at Rite Aid on Ballinger Way Northeast this morning, Friday 18 July 2025, I was pleased to find a score on protein bars. Parking was filling up as it was nearing noon on a weekday though the store interior was calm. Parts of the shelving areas were empty, merchandise had been consolidated to shelving closer to the front of the store. One bin in particular caught my attention, it held an assortment of protein bars that were nearing their expiration dates (the ones I got were August/September 2025). The price tag communicated they were marked down, with a price of $0.99 each, as the expiration date was close. I grabbed six and made my way to check-out. Been going here for years, and while the staff has always been friendly and I've always found what I need, things are going downhill quick. I don't know if they're planning on closing or just don't care anymore, but the shelves are bare every time I go in. I got to speak to one manager a few weeks back and he said that they only order products once a week and get one delivery. This is a terrible business practice. I'm a manager in another business and am responsible for product ordering, and to keep shelves full you need multiple orders per week. It's just bad business and whoever implemented this new rule needs to be talked to. How are you supposed to have a business with almost no products on the shelves? Either fix the ordering issues or shut up shop and let a business in there who knows how to do things. read more

For over 3 years this pharmacy has not met our needs, they either have to order the meds we request refills for or when we get there to pick up we have to wait half an hour. However the pharmacy needs in the USA are failing us. We will no longer accept the disrespect and have cancelled their app and will find anywhere else to give our business to. The rudeness and lack of customer service will no longer be accepted. We're done. read more

Prescriptions are never ready on time. The pharmacist could have the request for days, but they never work on filling it until you come in. I wish this was the first time this has happened to me at this location but sadly it's now pretty standard. I have to plan on a 15-20 minute wait for them and to fill it while I wait otherwise it just doesn't happen. read more

The pharmacist working today was exceptionally helpful, friendly and efficient. Our order did not immediately show up at the pharmacy, but he was able to help us find it and fill it. This was just before the closing time, but he still managed to help multiple customers who all came in just around closing time. It was very much appreciated. read more

I called at 20:24 to ask if they have any covid tests in stock and whoever answered the pharmacy phone said yes. Showed up to the store at 20:37 and was told that there were no covid tests left??? read more

Our other location closed so we switched to this location. I don't know if we were just spoiled by the employees at the other location or what. We used to get a text when our prescriptions were ready and we could pay ahead of time and Good Rx was always checked too to see if the cost is less than with our insurance. That is not done at this new location; I look it up myself and have to let the pharmacy staff know that it is less and then they have to process it again. I've gone to the drive thru only to find a sign that says it's currently not working so you have to go in the store. Another occasion, I needed to get my prescription picked up but there was no way to pay ahead of time because something was wrong with that method so they told me I had to pay in person. I had Covid and could not go in unless everyone wanted to potentially be exposed. I did ask if I could pay over the phone was told that was not possible. So, I either had to come in with Covid or find someone that could pick it up and leave it outside my house. I was able to find someone willing to do that but it was a hassle. My latest visit there, the shelves were pretty bare so it made me wonder if this location will be closing. It wasn't just one area that was bare. Everything from hair products to mailing supplies, candy, etc. had incredibly bare shelves. I didn't find any of the products that I usually purchase. Is this location closing?? read more

This store is across the street from my house and they are NOT that busy any time I've ever been there. It's the horrible operation hours at the pharmacy and how slow they work. I've watched them fill prescriptions and sometimes they just sit there talking and they go so slowly. I had to miss a dose of a medication I severely need because they only operate from 10-6. People with full time jobs cannot get to a pharmacy during those hours. They take long lunches in the middle of the day where there is NOBODY to fill prescriptions. I was told in a very bad tone that they can't do any better. I've seen front line workers kick ass this entire pandemic and this pharmacy is not on board with that. I'm fed up. read more

Rite Aid website clearly states "Can't find an appointment? Walk into your local Pharmacy to get your immunizations without an appointment." I tried this at my local Rite Aid and was bluntly told, "we don't do walk ins." I asked why it said on their website that walk ins were welcome if appointments are not available and they gave me a number to call (Rite Aid hotline) and the only thing that number does is tell you to go online to schedule an appointment and then hangs up. Pharmacies are continuing this downward trend in patient care and it is nearly impossible to actually be connected to an actual person now days. I was in this store two days ago and overheard a girl ask the pharmacist to please open the case so she could buy Plan B. The pharmacist directed her to who I assume was the manager. The manager asked her how old she was. She seemed surprised but replied that she was 16. The manager said he needed to check on something, walked back towards the registers, and then told her she wasn't old enough to buy it. I knew for a fact this was not true and so did the girl. She said "There is no law against that" and he just said "Sorry." She walked out without her Plan B. She is in a very desperate situation, was there alone without the support of a friend or family member or the man who contributed to her situation, and then another man who was supposed to help her denied her that help and lied in order to do so. I checked with an attorney who said there is no age limit on Plan B. I wonder how many more desperate young women have been met with this unfeeling and illegal treatment at such a vulnerable time in their lives. read more

THE PHARMACY IS FULL OF LIARS! I dropped off my prescription 3 days ago, was told it'd be ready in 30 min. I come 2 days later to pick it up and suddenly they're claiming they don't have any left and to come back tomorrow. I say that's weird because two days ago, the prescription was going to be ready in 30 Min. they then tell me that the manufacturer doesn't make my meds anymore. Funny, because the Edmonds location tells me a totally different story. As in - those meds 100% are available. NEVER COMING BACK AND TELLIG EVERYONE ABOUT YOUR UNTRUTHFUL SERVICE read more

While Rite Aid in general drive me crazy, employee's don't care about much that's for sure. This store does have great employee's and a convenient location. The parking can be a challenge since there's a gym that shares the parking lot. They must be busy since all the parking around this store is taken but there's not many inside the actual store! It's been remodeled fairly recently so the store is clean and it's pretty easy to find things. Almost always there's someone walking around asking to assist if needed. Yesterday I walked in for a vaccination with the pharmacist. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very kind. I get slightly anxious with needles and I was told the pharmacist is very skilled and has been praised for his gentle hand in the past. They were not lieing. I honestly didn't feel the needle. I felt something and looked at my arm and it was him wiping with cotton after having given me the vaccine. I will continue to see him for every vaccine I can get at their pharmacy. I've been coming to this store for almost 20 years. I've made friends with some of the staff through the years, most of whom who have since moved on to different careers. I've always enjoyed coming here not necessarily for prescription items but also for the specials. I like shopping their dollar days and the marked down seasonal items which sometimes still sell for regular price at other stores. I've bought many useful items through the years from this store and they never fail to come up with more. read more

I love the pharmacy folks here. They're always so friendly and provides prompt service however, the cashier for the store part will require additional training in customer service. I went into this store to drop off my prescription then stopped by the nail polish to look at this season's colors and noticed a sale; 2 for $5 for a color I wanted to try for fall. Upon waiting in line I realized the polish was spilling out from the bottle so I left the line to grab another bottle when I heard the biggest sigh of my life from the cashier Rashupta(?). She yelled "Are you ready yet?!?" Holy jeebus, I ran back to the register and I apologized as I seem to be the only customer in the store and she was waiting just for me, I guess. Only if it stopped there, not today... upon scanning the price wasn't 2 for $5 so I asked about the difference and the response I got was that I didn't do my math right...? I told her the stand shows a different promotional deal sign which angered her and caused her to stomp her feet to the stand like a child. She spoke with another employee and very rudely pointed "this isn't 2 for 5, the sign says 2 for 5 and it's on 2 for 5 so it's not 2 for 5", hmmm what? The other employee saw my confusion and told Rashuka to honor the price due to mislabeling then Rashuka let out two noises, pssssh and another big sigh. She stomped her way back to the register and that was my queue to just leave this angry woman be. I'll just go to the Rite Aid in Capitol Hill. I don't see the need to use this store to have this kind of experience to spoil the day. read more

I'm hesitant to say anything, because I have to use this place a lot since we moved to the area. But I'm hoping the management of the store reads this and pays attention. I'm a cheery, happy person and I work in customer service, so I KNOW what I'm talking about, and I know how to BE a decent customer, AND how to treat customers. But here's what happened today: We stopped in for a few sundry items, and saw some bread without a price which we were interested in buying. We ask a nearby lady who works there "Excuse us, how much is this bread, please?" and were told "Meh, it's a couple o' bucks". This is an exact quote. We asked her to repeat it, even. In WHAT customer service training is this acceptable? The register was nearby, she could have scanned it, she could have looked it up...but we get "meh, it's a couple o' bucks." Moving on, we get the rest of our stuff and go to check out. We have the membership card and the girl asks to scan the card, my husband responds "I prefer to do it at the end when everything is rung up." The girl says "Ugh!" And proceeds to ring up the items. He, being now fed-up with the customer service says "Why did you say 'ugh!'?" To which she quickly backs off and finishes ringing us up. Now I don't want "heads to roll", but seriously, folk, get your act together! I don't want to cringe every time we walk in, wondering "what next?" Customer service is a simple concept based on respect, communication, and being in-tune with your customers. We don't believe you should treat us like royalty, just the basics will do: find a price when a customer asks for it, or better still, make sure it's marked and we won't need to bother you. Be a little less "folksy" and a bit more focused. Smile and be a little more cheerful and friendly (to the gal at the checkout), drop the surly attitude - you'll get the same paycheck, but we'll all have a better day! My husband is already talking about driving to the Rite Aid in Snohomish where we used to go rather than deal with this store. AND when we were there he was in a great deal of pain - something they couldn't possibly have known, but since it's a DRUG store and PHARMACY you'd think they'd understand that the possibility of a customer not feeling 100% is likely. They're lucky he didn't give them a piece of his mind - he held back so I wouldn't be embarrassed, but next time I might not be with him. One more chance.... read more

Behind rows and rows of food filed with sugar trans-fat and high fructose corn syrup, is the pharmacy. Five people working behind the pharmacy counter and the line was getting longer. Only one person was waiting on customers. The line ahead of me inched forward as one of the the pharmacist searched again and again for prescriptions that had supposedly been filled and filed alphabetically. This wasn't the first time this happened. Am I really supposed to be counseled by these guys who can't seem to locate anyone's prescription ? If there were an old fashioned locally owned pharmacy in the neighborhood, I would never use this unreliable place again. read more

My insurance stopped contracting with Walgreens so I have been coming to Rite Aid Ballinger in Shoreline. Tonight I brought a common prescription to be refilled and they told me they were "out" and wouldn't be able to fill my prescription for 2 more days. My prescription ran out today. I asked if they ran out of this common medication frequently and they replied "occasionally". The reason they stated was that it is a common medication. No offer to call other stores to check availability. Just go 2 days without the medication was their best solution. How about you stock up on common prescriptions? Absolutely horrible customer service. I want my Walgreens back. read more

Today was the day that broke the camel's back. After 3 major errors over the last year that included miscounts of pills (twice) and the wrong medication (only once), I left after they couldn't find my prescription and told me that I'd have to reorder it. I have been coming to this Rite-Aid for several years and he is always so kind and helpful. Dung cares about his customers and I for one believe this helps a lot. Pretty poor experience that would have happened at any Riteaid store. Picked up a set of batteries priced at $11. When I get to the checkout, they ring at **$16** instead. I'm then told I need to be a rewards member to get the price advertised on the shelf. Seriously? A 45% markup to try and make me sign up for your rewards program? That's practically extortion and lost you a customer. No way I will shop at your store again. Found the same batteries online at half your "regular" price. Pretty simple part of good customer service: provide reasonably priced goods and without the bait and switch tactics. read more

I stay away from this Rite Aid. There are FEW workers here that are great. ONE OF MY BIGGEST COMPLAIN is the dude that works at night with his collar popped open like we back in 2000 preppy fashion. 1st. He picks the people he will be nice to. 2nd. He tries to wave at me to come to him to the register for me to PAY MY PURCHASE to support his hourly wage. No boy. You are not all that. You work in retail service/customer service. Get your act together. I dont ask for alot but u dont wave ur hand at a guest at ur store. Whoever the manager is at this place needs to get their crap together as well. LACK OF TRAINING. Gah! I can't speak for the pharmacy (have not used), but as a store this place is SO frustrating. This is my nearest drugstore, but 95% of the time I leave here without what I came for, because they only have ONE of whatever I need on the shelf and I'm trying to use a coupon that requires me to buy 2. Do they just restock a single item every time someone buys one? How can that possibly be efficient? If an employee were to offer assistance, I'd ask if they have more elsewhere, but I don't think anyone's ever offered. It's always something in the damn store ad, too. Get it together, people! I have no idea how this place stays open. I guess its all the nasty alcoholic mountlake terrace residents. Prices are through the roof and the people there have no education whatsoever. I gave them a 20 dollar bill and didn't realize until I got home that she didn't give me the change. Even the receipt showed her put in a 5 instead of a 20.
