PHARMACY STAFF & customer service is TRASH. The drive through window is always not available due to some excuse and now the it's broken. This is extremely inconvenient and disappointing when you have a special needs child and a brand new baby. I Just tried to see if they would help me and allow me to pick up my paid prescription in the front of store, but no one will offer assistance. I spoke with Lisa who was not helpful and rude. This store has no compassion for its its customers. I've been going to this pharmacy since bartels closed because it's closer to my house. And every single time picking up a prescription has been an issue. While the staff in the front of the store are very kind and friendly. The pharmacy staff sucks and needs to learn some customer service. read more

The Rite Aid in Shoreline on Northwest Richmond Beach Road remains a go-to place when looking for miscellaneous items. Be it something we are unsure of where we will find it, something we know they might carry, or just a nearby place to get something we need. The parking is tight for navigation, though there tends to be open spot(s) depending on when one comes. Inside the store is clean and sections straightforward to shop. Workers have been nice in my experience and we have found some really great/useful items. Growing up, we used the pharmacy for prescriptions, but ended up transferring across the street to QFC due to shorter wait times. However, we have used the Rite Aid pharmacy a few times after the switch when it carries what we need and might be faster than QFC. On occasion, it is also the closest option to the house to carry a given prescription for the medical ailment we did not see coming. read more

Attention Rite Aid Pharmacy... When people call in a Rx. The phone prompt hears the Rx you are requesting. It identifies the item, and then it says "OK, etc" Then, it begins to tell you it will be ready by a certain day and time. And that is where it all falls apart. You go to the pharmacy, and the item is not ready. They may tell you that they are short staffed or whatever. So... then take the damn thing off the phone prompt, that tells you it will be ready by a certain time! If you can't do like you have promised, then don't promise anything! AND... when the prompt hears your requested prescription, and says, "Yes, OK"..... if the Rx has no more refills available on it, then at that time the prompt should alert the patient, there are no more refills, and either they will call the physician, or the patient should. ‍ Instead, customer comes to pharmacy, and the Rx is not ready, and they say that they are short handed, but yet the computer has made promises that the staff can't fulfill. (Turn off that function in the refill phone prompt!) And... wait for it.... The 2nd Rx is not filled at all, because the refill # has been exceeded. So, why don't you call the requesting physician, and request an updated refill??!! Or.... Call the patient and tell them to call the Dr!! Instead, you don't do anything at all. Patient shows up, and the pharmacy tech doesn't know why your Rx isn't there. And! When you explain this to the 19 y/o kid at the counter, he just looks bewildered, smiles, and says things like, "Yeah, I see.. Hmm, OK" etc. There's literally NO sense of ownership from the juvenile working the counter. It's like he listens, and his non verbal response is, "Yeah, bummer dude", go huskies, have a nice day. Then, as you walk out of the store, the place is out of Everything. I realize they have gone through a bankruptcy, maybe? If you can't stock the shelves, then just close the place down until you can. The front of the store deserves a 5* review, this review is about the pharmacy, NOT the rest of the store. I came in today to purchase syringes for my perscription medication, which i verified with the pharmacist was a doctor perscribed perscription medication for me, not an illegal substance, & they still treated me like i was a crazed drug addict ready to pounce upon them without warning. At first they told me they would not sell me what i requested, then agreed to sell it to me & then sold me the WRONG item, nowhere near the item i asked for, except for it being a syringe, WRONG GAGUE, WRONG LENGTH, WRONG BRAND, Exactly opposite from what i clearly requested, which the pharmacy technician verified they had & then sold me something other. Due to the necessity of accuracy in filing perscriptions PRECISELY according to physIcian's DIRECTIONS, I conclude that the technician was NOT incompetent, but with full intent to give me a product that was not what I asked for nor thought i paId for. REGARDLESS of what they incorrectly assumed the product i asked for would be used for, it is inexcusable to treat your paying customers in such a shameful manner, void of all sensitivity & in bIatant disregard of their clear & concIse request. This location's Pharmacy may benefit VASTLY from some sensitivity & customer service training, & would do well to stop perpetuating the profiling of a subset of its clients (whether they think they have a superiority over them based off of racIal pròfiling, reasons of financIal deficiency, OR merely due to what personal choices one makes regarding what they choose, in private, to put into their own property (ie, their body), SUCH BEHAVIOR ACTUALLY REVEALS ONLY THEIR OWN INFERIORITY COMPLEXES & UGLINESS WITHIN THEMSELVES! Is this the image you want for your business that is supposed to be in the alleged act of contributing to a more healthy & inclusive community? Went here twice recently to drive family through the drive thru for pickups. Very quick and convenient. Would recommend the drive thru again for any prescription pickups. Note that the pharmacist is at lunch from 1:30-2 daily. read more

Inept staff. Their pharmacy techs have their noses sticking out of their masks. I'd expect that during a pandemic, they can at least figure out how a face mask works. Also, the tech filled out the wrong line of my vaccine booster card. I know it's hard to find employees, but these guys are too stupid to be employed in a pharmacy. Management seems pretty nice. The pharmacy at this location has taken a beating as far as reviews go. As a 6 year customer, I have seen the struggles and have had my share of inconveniences. I have seen people absolutely lose it on pharmacy staff over insurance issues that the pharmacy tech had zero control over. I have been annoyed during times of short staffing, where I've called multiple times with no answer, forcing me to drive there. Luckily, I live less than 5 minutes away. With that said, I have had issues with a new physician clinic who just can't seem to call my prescriptions in on time or at all without a huge hassle. I want to say that Theresa had gone above and beyond to help me several months back to make sure that there was no interruption in my monthly medication. Joel is one of the friendliest techs that work there, and he always meets me with a smile and an apology if the wait may have been too long. Recently,I have had the pleasure of speaking with Lisa, another tech who has been extremely helpful with faxing my Dr multiple times as they seem to ignore many of their patients' prescription requests. Yes,the staff seems overworked and understaffed. However, things seem to be improving. Thank you to all who have helped me when my own doctor wouldn't. I feel that this pharmacy is on its way to recovery after years of staffing issues. read more

This used to be a favorite store of mine. I have shopped at the Richmond Beach store for many years. I was always able to find whatever was on my list, and I thoroughly enjoyed the "seasonal" aisles where I would find things for all holidays and seasons. The cashiers were friendly and helpful with very little turnover. The pharmacy was also friendly and they often went above and beyond to fill a prescription or alert me to a problem. Currently, the store's shelves are pretty much empty, and getting emptier. I have been unable to find most things I'm shopping for, and the "seasonal" aisles are depleted. The cashiers are neither friendly nor helpful. The pharmacy is so understaffed that the drive thru window has been closed and it's difficult to get anyone to help you on the phone. I assume the store will close soon, but no one will answer a direct question. I plan to take all my business elsewhere including pharmaceuticals. I went in for the last time today. Not only could I find nothing on my list to purchase, but the empty shelves and the general lack of pride taken in the store, have become very depressing. read more

Unprofessional and unethical practices! I asked my MD to prescribe more convenient, extended release medication knowing it costs more. However, the Pharmacist refused to refill my prescription and returned prescription to my MD asking for cheaper/generic medication to be prescribed. This delayed my care by 3 weeks and wasted my medical team time. It is not on pharmacist to decide if I can pay or not without consulting with me. How pharmacist can decide who can pay for medication or not? And I would like to know what is their judgment criteria without consulting with me? Name? Race? Gender? Color of skin? read more

Management is nice. Staff is nice. The prices are outrageous. I've never seen prices marked up so high. You'd think they had to travel to another country for their goods. If I need something this is my last option I'd choose due yo price differences. read more

Rite Aid Shoreline pharmacist calls me 24 hours before my vaccine appointment--that I scheduled online FOUR weeks in advance-- to tell me that they gave away my my selected booster to walks-ins (pharmacist admitted this when i asked the reason) and would I like to accept one of the other vaccines instead. I actually wanted to stick with Moderna (I have my reasons) which is why i *scheduled* the appointment. Rite Aid doesn't GAF. I should have scheduled with a clinic by appt only. Big waste of time. The Richmond Beach Rite Aid has been there for me through thick and thin. From shampoo to Pepto, from Tide to greeting cards. They have it all. It's staffed with friendly, helpful sales clerks who always tell you to have a nice day. But what I really, really love about this Rite Aid is their Drive-Thru Pharmacy. What a great idea, right? It really is the best thing since sliced bread. It's right next door to a drive-up espresso stand too. And if you go up the street, you can get cash at the drive-thru ATM. Personally, I think the outdoors are overrated. I love the fact that I can take care of these basic necessities without ever stepping foot outside my car. Isn't progress great? read more

I have always loved this Rite Aid. I live very close by, so it's where I do a lot of cosmetic shopping. They have great deals and products always seem to be in stock. Lately, though, I have come to understand that the staff there does NOT like teenagers. I am only 15, but I expect to be treated the same as an adult customer might, as long as I act the part. My last trip to Rite Aid, a woman came up to me and told me that she did not like the fact that I was loitering and asked me to leave. I had been in the store ten minutes. I won't be returning to this particular Rite Aid. read more

The store is great, and the employees of the regular store are really good. The pharmacy however is terrible. On at least 3 occasions, i've had my dr. send over urgent perscriptions for me to pick up, i've gone, after SEVERAL hours, only to find they weren't filled and i had to wait. only i was to sick to wait in the store for 15 minutes for them to fill. If you ask, they say that they fill them right when they get them. in reality, they do not. I never even got my last prescription because i was to sick to go back the 2nd time. They also have this super slow, customer comes last mentality that is really annoying. They'll answer the phone right in the middle of your transaction. They finish carrying on personal conversations before they acknowledge your there. Or just not acknowledge you at all for awhile. No sense of urgency, no concept of your time being valuable. its like being stuck on slow motion when you walk up to the counter. try it, you'll see what i mean. read more
