I am a physician, and my experience with this pharmacy has been unacceptable. Whenever I call, I am unable to reach a human directly and must leave voicemails, waiting for a return call--often at inconvenient times. When attempting to fill my own life-sustaining insulin prescription, the pharmacy failed at multiple levels: they submitted incorrect prescriptions, miscommunicated with my insurance, and sent prior authorization requests to the wrong doctors. When an insulin prescription was denied under my plan, they informed me that the cost would be $1,941.99-- for a single month's supply. (see the photo) Rather than taking responsibility, they deflected blame onto the doctor and the insurance company. While both may share some responsibility, the reality is that I was left without insulin for days. The system is fundamentally broken. The pharmacists appeared to be doing their best, but if they are understaffed or overwhelmed, CVS must address these operational failures to ensure patients receive proper care. I stood in the pharmacy, staring at the medication I needed, but was forced to leave empty-handed. What was I supposed to do--go home and skip meals? Risk severe complications? Die waiting? This isn't an isolated incident. As a Type 1 diabetic, I have endured this same struggle every few years, and after a decade of systemic failures, I will no longer remain silent. CVS Pharmacy - Estimated cost of insulin $1,941.99 - Drugstores Near Me - SEATTLE, Washington

Never again for CVS!!! This is 1 of 2 pharmacies in my area offering this year's Covid vaccine. The website made multiple glitches while I was trying to schedule an appointment. When I finally got the appointment made, my husband received a phone call to inform him that our insurance wouldn't cover the vaccination. The phone rep started off the call by asking him to confirm his birthdate, without explaining who she was or why she was calling. He had to ask her who she was and why she was asking for this data. When informed that the cost would be $245, he cancelled. I decided to call the pharmacy to make sure my vaccination was covered. The phone system had no option to speak directly to a pharmacy tech... only options to review my appointment and to ask for a call back. After multiple response options, I was finally able to confirm the price for my vaccination. Apparently I wasn't covered either, but I wasn't called with this info. I cancelled my appointment online because I couldn't get through to speak with an actual person. read more

Once upon a time, this was a 5 star CVS. Back then, folks picked up the phone within a reasonable time. Back then, prescriptions or refills were ready as promised by text. Back then, pharmacy staff gave genuine, useful, professional customer service. **Claire still reigns supreme** Best CVS pharmacy staff member! However, recent dealings with this particular CVS at the Northgate Target tests one's patience. Want to be kept on hold for nearly 45 minutes via phone? Want pharmacy staff look like they don't care? Want pharmacy staff state and promise your meds will be ready at a particular time frame and guess what, not! Want your refill put in by your doctor on the 5th, still not ready on the 9th, no one picks up the phone on the 10th, show up in person on the 11th and now have to wait for 40 minutes? Showed up early when there's no line. Omg, face palm! See update below. Really I get it...pharmacists are overworked, underappreciated since the pandemic. Walgreens, Safeway, Bartell Drugs, Rite Aid, CVS, ad naseum. I plan ahead, pad extra time, exercise understanding and patience...but this recent incident really annoyed me! What a waste of time today. Update: Showed up 45 minutes later, waited in now a long line. See **Claire** arrive & clock in for shift, my promised prescription still wasn't ready. Guess who ended up filling it and complete transaction. Yes, **Claire**. Like I said, **Claire** is the best CVS pharmacy staff member at this site. Some functions of CVS pharmacy work really well, like when I signed up for a flu shot last month and they already had my insurance info transferred. HOWEVER today, my girlfriend spent the better part of 10 minutes wallowing through an automated telephone call, trying to speak to an actual pharmacist about transferring her prescriptions from Bartell Drugs (they're going out of business slowly). Once she got through, everything went smoothly, but the automated menu is way too much. read more

Only 1 employee is worth your time here. The others are slow. One employee in particular is useless. I sent in a prescription 6 days prior and still not ready, he told me not to believe the app...what?!? Signs tell you to ask about insurance to cover covid tests, I had two to buy and asked , he told me it was too much of a hassle to do it. I keep wanting to change but it's close to home . If I could give -5 stars I would. I've been trying to get rid of this pharmacy for months now, but their incompetence sticks like gum in hair. They never answer their phones, take forever to fill medications, and KEEP FILLING THEM ANYWAY EVEN AFTER YOU LEAVE. I've been allegedly marked as INACTIVE in their system for months now, but guess what! I can't fill my medications at my new, competent, reliable pharmacy because this one keeps trying to steal them! And they'll just give you the excuse that "your doctor sent it to us" even though you know for a fact your doctor has your updated pharmacy info. Is this how you do business CVS?? read more

Maybe there has been a recent change in staff, but I think the poor reviews are undeserved now. I just visited to get a prescription that was being held for me at a different CVS location and needed to get switched over to this one. Claire is awesome... but there is a gentleman there who will question you specifically and throughly only about birth control. No other meds seem to set off an alarm bell for him. Very isolating being questioned only about one of three medications when there are 12 people in line behind you. He has no concern for patient privacy and likes to voice his own opinion on your meds. He isn't even a pharmacist. Just go somewhere else if you don't want to be persecuted for being a female in front of the entire Target store. read more

Closed randomly without notice - doesn't answer phones even for a doctor, staff of store useless as well. Select a different pharmacy if you want any assistance whatsoever or actually want a prescription. CVS stores in target exemplify a whole new level of "they just don't give a crap" attitude. I'm actually really impressed with this CVS! I'm traveling in Seattle, visiting from Philadelphia and I happened to forget an important bottle of medicine! Due to TSA regulations, I can't use my pill planner so I had to put about 12 bottles in a huge Ziplock bag- I forgot an important one. I nearly panicked but fortunately my pharmacy in Philadelphia was able to seamlessly transfer over the prescription to this CVS and I was able to get my medicine! I was surprised that my insurance covered it but it did, yay, so no charges either! What a relief and this pharmacy is conveniently located in the Northgate Target, about 3/4 mile away from The Hampton Inn Northgate which was very convenient! I'm very grateful to this pharmacy to be able to so easily transfer an important medication! I will say that my only suggestions for the Target are that the turnoff to the parking garage comes up very quickly, rather easy to miss, and the garage is a bit large- pain to get in and out of but it was easy to get to Target with the elevator to the garage. This pharmacy is all it is a pharmacy. Any expectation to serve customers outside of selling drugs should not exist. I was sold a defective diabetic sensor. The normal case when sold a defective item at target is to go back to target show the receipt, show the defective item then get a replacement item at the sale store you made the purchase. I was told to call the maker of the item Abbott pharmaceuticals at 855-632-8658. They would charge my insurance again for a replacement and I would have to file for a replacement refund with Abbott pharmaceutical to recoup the 75 dollars I spent after insurance deductions. They made no offer of a replacement. They kept on repeating that it was their "policy". I understand that people have to follow protocol and policy however, if that policy is not consumer-centric, it's just a bad way to do business. It needs to be called out. Suggestions for CVS: please change your policy so that when a customer is sold a defective medical device that they need for their care that a) you exchange the defective item immediately b) you don't pass on the responsibility to your customer, instead when you receive your next shipment from the distributor (let them know you got a defective item -give the defective item to them so they can take data- the distributor should be seamlessly able to credit cvs for the item(s). This is the most efficient process and the most customer friendly "policy". I know I pay 8% more on average for my medications at a local pharmacy vs mail order services but I choose to do so in order that pharmacy techs and pharmacists can have jobs. Please change your policy because it's extremely easy get my prescriptions switched to amazon. read more

I waited almost 4 hours and a half hours for my prescription to be filled, they told me 30 minutes. I went around the corner and had some lunch, I came back in about 50 minutes, nope still not ready. So, frustrating and not worth it. The pharmacist was nice but she was slower than a turtle with a broken leg, not using this pharmacy again ever in life. read more

I constantly have to call my doctor for refills because I only get one refill every time I call in a prescription, and I don't always get the prescriptions I need the most when I go to pick them up! Disgusting! No pharmacy customer should have to go through this! read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for years. I'm a complex patient with a lot of prescriptions. The staff bend over backwards trying to help everyone to the best of their ability. The are kind, warm, and friendly!!! They are definitely part of my healthcare team! I think CVS does not provide the head count, in my opinion, they need. Unfortunately, it seems the staff are not in control of staffing levels. Regardless, I advocate for myself and plan ahead. That way I'm never without meds. read more

So the people that I've experience are great and helpful. But overall its crap. My prescriptions are never ready by the time they say they will be causing me to have multiples days without meds. RXs should be ready by the time they say or before, not multiple days late. read more
