My memory slipped and it turns out I wasn't on my wife's membership card. At the membership desk they urged me to get my own card, but I told them my situation and understood. Ted retrieved the cart out of the cooler and I completed checkout with him. Him and I chatted about One Piece for a little while since I peeped his Zoro earrings. Again, the service I received was excellent. (3/5) just for the situation in general. I think Costco as an organization should find a quicker way that allows spouses to be added within a moment's notice. A way for it to be remote so I don't have to haul my wife on over just to buy groceries. It's a huge waste of time for multiple parties. Overall, this wasn't the worst but it was incredibly inconvenient. read more

Kudo to the tire shop crew! Yesterday mothers day on a short notice an hour before closing, my daughter's Mazda CX-5 had a flat tire and the person answered the phone agreed to take my daughters Mazda! The usual questions of were tires purchased from Costco etc, I am very grateful and want to thank the person on the phone, ( sorry didn't get the name) and the entire crew for their dedication to duty! Hands down, best Costco I have been to after living in the Bay Area and Portland area. The staff is very friendly, the store is clean and well organized and always stocked up. Their selection is wide with many Asian items including sushi and sashimi. The price is top notch for everything compared to regular grocery stores. The register section is smooth and speedy, given we do self-checkouts which have hardly any lines and move quick. The food court is great with their self service option. The only downside is the entrance and exit into their parking lot. It can get chaotic bc there is only only one exit into the Costco that is right in front of the store entrance and the other is on the backside of the lot. I'd say enter in from the Home Depot side and park in the back. Or enter the gas side and park behind the other retail stores. If you have the executive, take advantage of the 9am store opening hours with your membership. read more

Nothing like a Costco hotdog! This location has sparkling water, the best way to wash the treat down. They do a pretty good job of having more staff on deck on busy days to keep the wait at the registers down. Skip the self checkout it's a nuisance. read more

This location has a gas station that is slow, only has 2 pumps per lane compared to many other gas stations that have at least three possibly four or five. The actual warehouse has no real problems, I don't mind going to this one for Products as they often are well stocked read more

Wow. When I say I have never had a worse experience than this, I mean it. Stopped by to buy a beer while on my way back home as it was a long drive. I was looking forward to get a drink, but what cut my excitement short was the quality of customer service. The cashier was obnoxiously rude and didn't even offer me my receipt. I couldn't find the product I was looking for and I asked the staff for help but received no helping hand. Even on the weekends, I feel like the lines are shorter than I expected and because there are so many other businesses in this plaza, there's always parking somewhere. I will attempt unbiased for this review but please know that I started going to Costco when they opened their first store in Kirkland Washington. Much later they chose Kirkland as their brand name. Costco selection is famous and infamous it was more so infamous in the past when if you didn't buy something you needed when you saw it, it would not be there the next time and maybe never again. Today its selections are mostly reappearing. Service is Costco brand, it is what they chose as a business model. The employees appear happy and if you talk to a manager they will find a resolution for whatever you have on your mind. Reminds me of Nordstrom employees. Value is the key to the undisputed success since the first store in Kirkland that I enjoyed! Fortunately, they are now everywhere I have lived and just minutes away today. They have these nice shopping bags and it's a promo to sign up for executive. We just renewed our executive and cashier said the promotion is not for existing executive customers. We were looking all over for printer cartridges for a printer we purchased there. We hunted an employee in another department and she looked up info and only to tells we now have to shop on line to purchase from Costco. We went on-line not available. So we decided let's go to e-bay and they were $20.00 cheaper. And I am a sewist and created my own shopping bag and same size and I saved money. An a senior bagger (appeared to be from corporate was rushing the cashier to move faster and this cashier is one of your best. Then he placed my blouse to be purchased in my my shopping cart and in a mean voice said Don't touch it, Leave it there with mean eyes. This was the second Costco we visited on our long-term stay in Seattle. This one was a spur of the moment decision as we were making a day-trip to Everett and this Costco was conveniently located at the transit center we had to go through. Yet again, I was disappointed by the state's liquor/sales taxes which added what seemed like 40% to the base cost of alcohol here. I get that Costco can't control that. Ahh Costco, one of my favorite stores in the world. This is your typical Costco so you will get what you expect here. There's a large parking lot, there are tons of carts lined up for you to grab, there is a food court, there is a gas station, and of course there are always tons of people. I really like the self-checkout stations if you have fewer items and I like the self-ordering kiosks at the food court to speed things up. If you go early enough during the day you'll get some free food samples! One annoying thing is that it's constantly congested on the southern part of the lot on N 200th street as people are turning in from both sides of the street. This makes things worse as that's the gas station entrance, so getting through that area (whether you get gas or not) is a nightmare. read more

As far ask I can tell, this location does not sell gasoline for your car. Compared to the Marysville location (an hour north), the layout is about the same. I love that as I frequent both locations each month. The shoreline store definitely carries more variety month to month and asian grocery items, which I love. The business level compares to the lynnwood location (20 minutes north), and can get quite hectic especially on weekends. I like how the first sunny summer weekend usually means there are less folks there but it's hit and miss as with anything. In this location, I push my way through and charge otherwise no one lets you in and you get blocked at every turn. This location has sushi and sashimi at reasonable prices and is fresh. The sugar tax does apply here for soda and juices so keep that in mind! Hence mt trips to Marysville in Snohomish county where it's not applicable. This location is always clean and organized and typically not over crowded with workers on machinery so it's been a good swift experience each time. read more

Wow before this most recent trip to Costco, it must have been years since I had gone to this store... I completely forgot how easy it is to get lost and just find yourself buying things that you really (at the end of the day) probably don't need. But there are so many neat things strategically placed on your path to the items you actually went there to buy. This store located in Shoreline is not the biggest store I have been to but it sure was popular. Even on a weekday morning, the parking lot was full and there were tons of people roaming through the aisles. For those who are not in the know, Costco requires a membership. Flash that pretty card at the door and you're in. Even if you tried to sneak in... don't try. You have to scan your card before you purchase your items. If you dont' have a membership yet, let the front door person know and they can get you to the membership line. In just a few short minutes, you'll be signed up and ready to participate in the chaos that is Costco! But let's be real. People come here to buy discounted bulk item purchases. They also have great deals on snacks and also snacks/food you don't often see elsewhere. One of my favorite things to get here actually is their prime rib caps. You know that tasty fatty part of the prime rib at the top of each cut? Yes, they sell just that often curled into rolls that you pop straight into the oven and cook just like you would a prime rib. It's an awesome cut of meat but they only have a few for purchase in the morning and by mid day they are often sold out. Probably should have kept that secret to myself... read more

I have been shopping at this Costco for over 10years. My experience was always excellent service until today. I came to the pharmacy for 2 vaccines. I presented my insurance card to Asian tech with glasses and Burnett hair. I am an American born citizen from Detroit, MI- the land of the white supremest, never in my 51 year has my USA citizenship has been questioned. Yet this lady took 1 look at me and asked me if my vaccines were for immigration. What the f..ck. She's is Asian and I never questioned her status.Since when Costco pharmacy-are racist and asking Americans- their immigration status??? The pharmacist was rude, unprofessional because he was overbooked with immunizations appt. And walk-ins. The intake tech did not tell me to wait by his door until I was text. All she said when is your turn we will text you, and come back to pharmacy. It took me 5 min to get to the pharmacy after I was text. The couple that was waiting informed me that the pharmacist called my name. I went back to intake window- to inform them I just arrived. Different tech btw, she told me go back to the door, she will inform him. I informed him I was back, when he started scolding me about not waiting by the door how he was sooo busy. I informed him I was not told to wait by the door, he was sooo rude and completely unprofessional, I'm the executive member. I'm stunned and very dissatisfied. Typical Costco. Parking lot was almost half full 15 minutes after opening. Lines to get gas were not too bad, we only had to wait for 2 cars ahead of us. However, if the line was any longer it wouldn't have been worth the minimal discount. We found everything we needed and there were not any empty shelves that we noticed. Things like eggs which had previously been out are now stocked. We had to wait over 20 minutes to check out, which is never fun. However they had all the check stands open and were probably as efficient as they could be. The most unpleasant thing by far was employees coming up to people in the checkout line and trying to get them to sign up for a credit card. read more

I came to this Costco all the years I was growing up through when I moved to Africa. Then I went to different Costcos a few times when I lived in Hawai'i and didn't really go when I lived in California. Now after eight years living abroad and in other states I am back to shopping at the Shoreline Costco. Well, a combination of moving back and finally cancelling my Amazon Prime Membership. Just not buying much online anymore. I have spent maybe $6 on Amazon since cancelling my Amazon Prime membership several months ago. Oddly enough this has led to more happiness and reconnecting with places I used to frequent like this Costco. So many places have gone out of business or closed, it is nice to see that this location remains. I came with my dad and my mom this past week looking for a few things. Two of the items were previously in stock and now out of stock. One they had, and a very good one! They had 5 lb bags of peanuts for $6.89. Talk about a good deal, that is over 60 cents cheaper per pound than the next best deal we have found in grocery stores thus far. We were not the only one after peanuts, another lady wanted some for her squirrels as well. Turns out she also had a chipmunk sighting in her yard for the first time a few weeks ago. The chipmunks at our house like the peanuts, so maybe she'll be seeing more Chippys! The chicken enchiladas with a red sauce here is a common dinner in our household and has been for over a decade. Love the bulk food options here. We used to get our film from our cameras developed here when I was growing up, not so much these days. Make sure to have your membership ID ready when you get here because it will be checked. In regards to COVID-19 response, this Costco is very much on top of it. Cleaned/sanitized carts are put in one location and used/dirty carts have a cleaning station of to the side of the entrance/exit of the store where employees clean the carts with a spray. Masks are currently required. One of the novel things I saw that was a bit of a marvel was the television screens in the electronics section. These screens are on display just inside the entrance of the store. We walked in and all of the screens were displaying the same set of COVID-19 best practices notices in perfect synchrony. Really cool if one is shopping to pick out a screen as it allows one to compare the image quality of the screens relative to one another easily since they are all displaying the same message. The parking lot is very large and will fill up at busy times with people circling looking for spots. We make sure to give ourselves adequate time to find parking if coming at a particularly busy time/during the weekend. read more

I somehow managed to loose my wallet before even making it inside and was frantically searching around the parking lot. Jo helped me search high and low around the lot and in my car. She even lent me her cell phone (I left mine at home) to call the Starbucks I was just at. She went above and beyond to help calm my frantic self and gave me so much support. I mean.. imagine not having your cell phone and now loosing your wallet?! Luckily, a Costco guest turned in my wallet and I was able to go on with my day. Thank you Jo! Love this Costco. This Costco is always busy, but show me a Costco that isn't and I'll definitely drive there. The floor is always well stocked and the staff is super helpful. We decided to buy a kitchen table there and while we (okay, me) were struggling with loading the boxes, 3 associates arrived out of nowhere to help us out. Every time I have a question about an item, someone is there to answer it. The lines seldom get terribly long as there are generally many registers open (much more than your average grocery store!), and the lines move quickly. read more

After being a member since the 90's I purchased 2 food tray platters as we didn't have time to make it ourselves. Reviewing the options inside Costco and reading the ingredients it was what to choose that was less harmful as there were tons of preservatives in each or with items like seafood all of which is farmed and or from Asia (that's bad news if u eat this on a regular basis). We got a meat fruit and cheese tray plus a pin wheel tray that have chicken wraps cut in circles both had literally no flavor it was like eating cardboard the savior for us was the wine we purchased made it easy to wash that crap down your throat. I'll never buy any pre made food at Costco again as this was a bad experience which of course I should have known better read more

I love shopping at Costco shoreline I love the worker and then deals are great. But in November 4th I was shopping and minding my on business, just getting food and a random guy rush by me with him cart and almost hit me but I moved out the way. Then I like at him and he pulled a knife out and threatened me with it and said what do you want to do. I then alerted a worker in Costco with his description. It's been a few days now and nothing can be done about this guy at all for his actions towards me. So I am more worried about bring my family there because he hasn't been band from shopping there or has gotten his membership revoked. I love that Costco but send the managers don't see it there's nothing I guess that they could do. This is why I gave them 3 stars. read more

My parents and I went to Costco for some groceries and baby supplies as I have a wife at home recovering from giving birth. While shopping, my parents decided to surprise gift us a new TV, so they took pictures of the item number for checkout. We paid for our items and they asked how we should go about carrying out the TV they purchased. A manager, Brian was ushered over to help us. Instead of walking us to the area to grab it and ensuring our exit out of the store, he radio requested another employee to help us. As a former retail employee, I understand that his decisions as manager, and his laziness not to see us through the rest of our journey created a terrible situation for us and for two other workers. So what happens next is Brian's fault. We go to the TV isle, a worker helps us grab the right TV, and sends us back to the registers. While walking past a register with TV and receipt in hand, a vigilante cashier, Connie, stops assisting her customer and stands in front of our cart to prevent us from walking past her toward the final receipt checkers at the exit. I show her our receipt and point to the line with the TV on it. Her attitude was very accusatory and derogatory. I became frustrated, as you do when someone insinuates you're stealing an expensive TV you just bought. I explained the situation and that Brian told us to go get the TV, she still wouldn't let go of my receipt or step aside. I ask for another manager and got more agitated. For some reason she thinks she's in loss-prevention and not a cashier. Finally the second manager, Casey steps in and pulls us aside to resolve things. Once again I explain the situation, instead of acknowledging my frustration or the validity of our purchase, he shoots back angrily "the way this happened is not how it should happen." I asked him why that was our fault, and my dad calmly explains that even though we are regular Costco customers, we're never afforded any trust, especially as we already have our items checked again at the exit. At that point he let us go without an apology. I am half Mexican and it wasn't until my white father stepped in and explained the situation that we were let go. Makes me wonder how people of color get treated here regularly. I'm going back to cancel my membership tomorrow. Worst retail experience I've had. read more

Tire Center is awful. They will only assist, even if you buy tires from there, by appointment. Appointment times were 2 weeks out. Waited for appointment and then had to wait in line behind everyone else, anyway. Once at the front of the line, they revisited every single question asked online for the appointment because they say they "don't get that information." To pick up car, hours after tires are on, you have to wait back in the same long line. Terribly inefficient process. Will never use Costco for tires, again. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THE FOOD COURT. What happened to grabbing a quick snack on your way out after shopping? Did they lower they pay for the food court workers? Are they understaffed and under motivated? It takes 25 minutes to get a slice of pizza and hot dog. It take close to 45 mins to get a whole pizza. It's unacceptable and Costco managers see it's bad and deliberately do nothing. read more

Always busy, it's fun to celebrate with a parking spot right at the front (just beyond the special, reserved parking)! Relatively organized, in that I haven't seen much move or be moved in the number of times I've come to this location. Most things are consistently housed where they were the time before, making it easy if you have to run in and out in a flash (minus the check-out line). Produce seems to be relatively fresh, though often the organic apples are soft and "puffy" tasting, and the onions tend to have a few rotten ones in each bunch. Their return policy, however, is excellent and makes up for the random grody items found in your purchase. read more

I was at the optical department to pick up my prepaid glasses. There was a sign to indicate where to pick up glasses. Employees ignored anyone standing there. Eventually I got a number to get some service. Finally someone paid attention and 3 people got their glasses. Getting the glasses took less than 2 minutes. It took at least 15 min of waiting to get them. read more

Social distancing encouraged, masks required, hand sanitizer available. The food court has lost a few items since I was last there. I'm guessing it's related to supply issues.
