Marshalls - Discount Store Near Me - Shoreline, Washington

The Marshalls not too far from Shoreline Community College in Shoreline was one of the first places my parents would take my sister and I when we were growing up and we were looking to get new clothes or shoes. It was/is close to the house and had new items at lower price points than some of the stores at the nearest mall(s). The parking lot is large, shared, and can be a bit packed depending on how busy the store and other businesses in Aurora Square are. The store offers a variety of items in addition to clothes and shoes and we have purchased merchandise from each of the sections at some point or another. Food items have been especially fun to test out and sometimes I have gotten hooked on items I have only found here. On my most recent visit, today Friday 8 December 2023, I found the shelves well stocked and ready for the 2023 Christmas season. Looking for some gift items, I was reminded of how much fun it is just to look and see what is on the shelves. The different sections were easy to navigate and I enjoyed perusing the offerings. I got a seasonal reindeer 3 kitchen towel set as well as Reese's pieces themed socks for less than $20.00 with tax. Overdue review and literally the only discount retail shop within the Shoreline city limits. However, over the years I have appreciated the layout, relatively orderly organization, well stocked with a variety of merchandise, and efficient staff. I have found lots of seasonal clothing and accessories, toys, kitchen gadgets, stocking stuffers, snacks, culinary spices, teas, quality soaps and scrubs, pillows and linen. Brought my 10yo granddaughter dress shopping and first off the electronic doors tried to crush us on the way inside, which we just laughed off. When we found out the ladies bathroom was out of order not so much laughing. Decent selection, could be better. Ended up finding something cute. read more

Awful experience. Was at DMV to get some paperwork done and it was taking a while, so stopped into the store while waiting. The store seems pretty big and clean, some nice items, but...there were two burly security guards at the entrance, dressed in what looked like combat gear! A lot of the premium items were locked up - from purses to beauty products - even cookware! At the dressing room, I was treated like a criminal, with my items counted a number of times, and I was pounced upon when two of the shirts were tangled up, with the dressing room attendant erroneously concluding that one was missing from the initial count! My God! I felt like I was shopping at the prison commisary! It looked like they also had random people walking around the store checking on shoppers. On the way out, I was informed that carts were not allowed in the parking lot and that they would let out an alarm as soon as they cleared the doorway, so good luck getting heavier items to your car! Not the least of which was, there was a long line at the checkout, with only two cashiers open, and one of them was doing a return, which, took at least 15 minutes, with each item being thoroughly examined and checked, and the flustered shopper being treated like an inmate. Too, the cashiers must get compensated on opening new accounts because they positively bully everyone...a woman at the checkout said she had their credit card but hadn't brought it that day, and there followed a five minute discussion of the cashier trying to strong arm the woman into opening ANOTHER account in the offhand chance that her card may have been cancelled since it hadn't been used in a while! Don't know about you, but I'm not comfortable shopping in a place that assumes you are about to commit highway robbery! Gave up and left after a while. read more

I ordered items online to be shipped to me, they sent the wrong items and when I contacted them through their services on their website twice, I was never sent a response back. I then contacted the caller online and was told I wouldn't be issued a refund for anything. read more

Left because the dressing room woman was so rude to me for wanting to try on more than 10 items (10 or less at a time was fine for me, she was just annoyed I had more than 10 in general). When I left after trying half on feeling really disrespected/it put me in a bad mood and I didn't want to be there anymore , she FaceTimed someone on her cell phone showing that I had ~15 items and wasn't buying them. Not to mention she was FaceTiming the whole time while working and was very loud next to the dressing rooms. Sad bc I was excited for all the finds I had discovered! read more

Clean, well-organized, and with lots of staff to check out and work the fitting rooms. I think this must be a decent establishment, because there are a few employees I see time and time again. Makes me feel less awful about shopping here. I have found a lot of great things here-- off-season and last year name brand type of things. They have tons of kitchen items, weird food, exercise equipment, accessories... If I ever need a cheap, quick gift or want to add something fairly basic to my wardrobe Marshalls is a good bet. This Marshalls is probably the best one I've ever been in. Super clean, organized and well stocked, this location had great gifts for the holiday season. I found some unique household items and art supplies for gifts and myself. I'm use to going into these types of stores and finding chaos after people have demolished the racks and displays. Everything here was in order and well attended to, which was a breath of fresh air. The store was quiet and not many customers were in, which surprised me. The selection of Women's clothing was next to non-existent. Most of their clothing was Men's and Juniors. I would appreciate if the cashiers in shoreline, Washington, can be more welcoming to customers and to show a bit more customer service skills. Unfortunately when I entered the store I wasn't greeted at all and the person was in front of the door, neither when I paid for the items I bought. In fact, my husband who paid before me received a better treatment, even got an offer to apply for a credit card, but when it was my turn to pay the cashier did not acknowledge me as a customer nor said thank you, she only said: do you need a bag?. I love TJ's, Marshalls and Home Goods. But this visit to Marshalls in Shoreline, WA left me very disappointed. Three guys were going up and down aisles and two were loudly talking on the phone. All three were not wearing masks. I mentioned it to two sales associates who stated they cannot do anything about it. I mentioned it to a third person and she said I'm sorry. Just a typical overstock store. I used to come here all the time when I was younger and they had amazing deals. Not sure if my tastes change, but even though there are a lot of items, I can't find a lot that I would buy and the prices don't seem much better than Target (who has a better selection of options and styles). I happened by this place today and went in on a whim. (Retail therapy is my friend.) I could not believe how nice this place was! Dooney & Burke and Juicy Couture bags, Steve Madden and Franco Sarto shoes, Le Creuset cookware, Bed Head hair products, clothes organized in a way that made sense, Ralph Lauren bedding, and (important to me on this particular day) a huge selection of dog toys. I really had not expected that this Marshalls would look any different than the ones I'd been to previously, but I ....kind of loved it. I may or may not plan to visit there again tomorrow. This little shopping area in Shoreline has the holy trinity of bargain shopping: Big Lots, Sears, and Marshalls....LMAO Really though, I love Marshalls and this location in particular got MAJOR DEALS! Being that this store is right off Aurora, I do believe it gets over looked. However, that benefits me because I have easier access to the discounted merchandice!! Haha!! So y'all can keep overlooking it! lol Brand name clothing, accessories, and home goods for such reasonable prices; you can't beat it! I never leave this place empty handed, ever! The only thing missing at Marshalls is a good jewelry section, but I guess that's what TJ Maxx is for. This location is pretty good! I was surprised at how much clothing (and other) stock they actually had. I have been to a few locations that were less than impressive so this was a pleasant surprise. I love Marshall's & T.J Maxx! They are my go-to for bargain shopping! I hate going to the mall, I feel like I can't get the deals there that I can at Marshall's! I love their clothes selection. I can get a pair of American Eagle jeans (always can find my size, every time!) for only $16.99! I bought a pair of white, Michael Kors capri jeans for $35, which would be around $79-$99 in a dept store! I always shop their home goods as well. I love finding Buddha heads, wall art and candles. My favorite candles are the Every Body Soy candles, I get them in the clearance area sometimes for $2.50-$4.50 for a large jar! They are great candles, they burn evenly, and don't crater in the middle like Yankee Candles or traditional wax candles tend to. Their iPhone/iPad accessories are also a great deal! You can find cases for under $10, speakers, head phones.... you name it! If you LOVE bargains, you will love Marshall's!! read more

This is my third time shopping here. First time at this location. I opened a credit card account here last time and didn't bring it with me today. Sara O. Was the cashier and was irritating!! She couldn't look up my card with my ID (I've never had that happen) so I used a different card. Then she said "I can ask my manager if you want" not sure what the heck she was going to ask her manager! She didn't even know the name of the general manager. She said a male name when asked and then said "well we have a few men managers" customer service is lacking at this store! I even had my temporary shopping pass they gave me when I first opened the account but it expired yesterday. I told her that and she didn't offer to help or get someone who could help. She just did the head tilt and said "oh. I can't use it if it's expired" I just don't understand what the big deal is! At any rate, will cancel the card and not waste money here again. The whole Marshalls/TJ Maxx company is the greatest thing ever invented. I find so many great deals here that it's actually ridiculous. I recently bought a skirt that I had seen the same day in the Billabong store selling for $30 for $14 at Marshalls. I buy most of my clothes here. They recently remodeled and have really added a lot to the selection (including a GREAT shoe selection). The staff is so-so, most barely speak english, but they're all very friendly. read more

I don't want you to know about this location, because it's awesome. They get several shipments a week, so you will find a totally new store every few months. I've gotten art, coffee travel mugs, picture frames, dresses, skirts, shoes, candles (Yankee Candle), hosiery, snazzy bamboo cutting boards, tuscan seasonings for chicken, holiday decor, and beautiful tabletop settings to complete my Italian decor here. The store has a nice layout and nice location but there aren't that many selections.

This is a decently stocked store. Dressing rooms and sales floor are kept clean. Friendly employees who are unobtrusive. There's also ample parking. I usually forget they are here because they are behind a Sears and you'd miss them if you weren't looking. read more

I love the Shoreline Marshalls! I was shopping there last night and saw an entire rack of authentic Seahawk jerseys for kids - Wilson, Lynch and Harvin, all for $29.99, 1/2 the price of retail. I didn't buy one, and woke up the next day regretting it. I called the store and asked if they were still available and if I could put a jersey on hold. Emily, who answered the phone was extremely helpful, patient and accommodating. She took down the size and color information and put me on hold. A few minutes later, another lovely woman picked up the line to let me know what was available. I ended up buying 3! Thank you! read more

Clean, great deals, an interesting variety of stuff, not too crowded. I like their clothes, housewares, toys, lotions, and notebooks.

Do not expect to return defective merchandise to Marshalls! I bought a medium-priced non-stick frying pan at this store. The non-stick finish came off in several places the first time I used it. I used no metal utensils and did nothing out of the ordinary while gently cooking lamb chops. I took the pan, with its wrappings and my receipt back to the store six days after the purchase and was told that I could not return it as it had been used. I have never had a pan scratch so easily and the label clearly stated that the finish was tough and would last a long time. Had the store refunded my $14, I would have immediately purchased a more expensive replacement from them. Now, I vow never to return to Marshalls and to tell everyone I know about my experience. I have never written a review in Yelp or anywhere else, but I want other shoppers to know that anything bought at Marshalls, once used, is not returnable, no matter what defects show up. read more
