This about as midline as you could get because there's nothing good or bad about it per se it is what it is. It's a reduced price, not wholesale, place for chefs, cooks and restaurant owners to pick up bulk supplies for reasonable prices. They're not going to get any lower than this especially if you order through the mail. Today I picked up a case of monster energy drinks which is 24 for $38 and now I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 3.79 each. There are supplies even for barista stands things like cups and stirrers and coffee syrups and coffee beans and the like. A good supply of essential professional cooking cookware like inserts, whips and utensils and some really good knives. For the bar there are dozens of different Frozen appetizers that patrons love like deep fried shrimp, chicken strips, zucchini, even pickles breaded, onion rings and other things like burritos, chicken strips and the like. They have a whole walk-in dairy refrigerator it's bigger than my bedroom which is quite nice when you need a lot of supplies and don't like the crowns of the supermarkets. No you do not need to be a member or have a special sign or club membership to shop here and no there is no fee for that it's just like a regular supermarket only with a different kind of display setup. In fact there is no display setup. They just open the containers for you to see what you're getting and then you can buy brand new containers of what you like. In some instances they will break a case like cleaning supplies, pinesol and other things too. Sometimes it's fun just to come out here because you never know what you see that will surprise you. Location could be better, it's off the beaten path past 130th Street North and Stone avenue North off to the east side kind of tucked away there. Been going to this location when it called Cash & Carry, now US Foods ChefStore for over 20 years. Just realized after my visit (5/5/22) that yet again never posted via Yelp. Convenient location in North Seattle, ample parking, no membership needed, and prices often lower than local grocery stores and Costco. Most people who shop here are office, food service, restaurant, cafe, and catering staff. But the general public can also score great stuff in bulk, larger quantities. Perfect for those big gatherings. I've stopped in for kitchen gear, picnic supplies, spices, condiments, baking ingredients, and dairy products. They have what I want to buy. You do have to buy in bulk. The prices are comparable to other stores. The employees are polite and friendly. They are always willing to help you and take you to the product you want to purchase or look at. I shop there once a week. What I would buy in a grocery store I buy here. read more

Open to the public. No membership. Off the main road from Aurora, right behind Asian Food Center. Accepts ALL credit cards!!! :) No food stamps or checks allowed etc. The other reviews are dead on. Yes, this is definitely a no frill place. The service is fine. The guys up front (owners??) are not out of the way friendly but if you vocalise that you need help they'll definitely help. The prices aren't always cheapest around. Comparable for sure. For those without Sam's Club or Costco I definitely recommend this as a substitute. I have a Costco card but prefer this place for some things. Jasmine rice (50lbs for $18-$30 depending on the brand). Excellent prices on the rice. Soda was pricey. So was seasonings. Grocery Outlets has the cheapest bulk seasoning around - like giant tubs of lemon pepper, paprika etc for $3 vs $8 at Cash & Carry. Wear a jacket to the giant walk in fridges / rooms. Brrrr! Ahem.... Oh Michelle B. is ssssoooooo correct, I got my stores mixed up, for the luv of God, I need more coffee...ahem...carry on... So, I luv http://Craigslist.org...okay I'm addicted...ask Michelle B. she's been trying to steer me to a support group for years... Any-who.... I found a cotton candy machine on CL and well, I needed some floss sugar to get my cotton candy groove on.... Looked at the Interwebs, but dang, shipping was totally re-donk-u-less for a $7.95 item. A co-worker suggested I check this place out, and guess what....they had it! While it had been many years since I visited, I could have sworn you had to have a business license to shop here, well I guess times have changed and now they let anyone in to shop. I wandered the aisles for hours...well actually, about 45 minutes, just because I was in awe of the place. Granted I don't need a 500 count of ice cream cones, but hey, for that price, I'll take two! Most of my time was spent returning items from my shopping cart, I could just hear my wife asking me where were we going to store that #10 can of jalapeno peppers and the #25 of "cheese" sauce, sadly I left with just my floss sugar, priced right and two flavors my kids just luv... I really wanted to try this egg tart recipe that family friend gave me, and when I asked her how to make the tart shells, she said that she just bought pre-made tart shells from Cash & Carry! Cheat! But I guess that would save me some time. So here I was searching the Internet on the Cash & Carry website to find the closest location that I can go to when I stumbled across the part of the website that said that you had to have a food handler's permit or something in order to buy stuff from here. But, after asking around, it seems like the information in the general FAQ's is a little outdated since it looks like ANYONE can shop here. Woohoo!!! No membership fees either! What's so awesome about this place? They sell stuff in bulk like in Costco, but they have practically one whole aisle dedicated to my sweet tooth!!! Airheads, Charleston Chews, lollipops, and huge bottles of syrup for my Italian sodas! Not to mention a previous reviewer comment about floss sugar for cotton candy! OMG! Aside from that, there appeared to be only two guys working in the whole place during my visit there. They did lack some enthusiasm for their jobs, but they still helped me when I had questions about certain products and I appreciate that. read more

This is THE place to buy fresh fruit. I pretty much make a fresh fruit run once a week and I am set with high quality, delicious--and excellently priced--fruit. The main thing I buy are raspberries. The price is consistently less than half the price of the raspberries at the local grocery stores and they have them in stock for all but a few weeks a year. In the summer they always have the best watermelons--heck, all melons--and again great prices! I also buy a 5# bag of bacon bits. They last about a year and I share them by the cupful with people. But it's really great to have a big huge bag of bacon bits on hand for spaghetti carbonara and omelets and what-not. Soups! Salads! Sides! Yesterday I made turkey chowder and threw in a handful of bacon bits. You'd be amazed how much you would use bacon bits if you had some in your freezer. Also I buy goat cheese. It's like a quarter of the price of the same stuff in the grocery stores. I have also purchased restaurant supplies. Big huge chafing dishes. Great to have! Italian soda stuff? All, great prices. Finally, I should say something about the staff. I agree with people about the guys who work here. I've been coming here once a week for years and they never even register a flash of recognition. They are courteous, but never friendly. But I like it that way. So they still get five stars. read more

Interesting bulk size stuff. I was surprised to find that it isn't exactly THAT cheap as people suggested, especially for beverages. But if you drink a lot of Rockstar and RedBull, you can find packs of 24 for a little less than Fred Meyer on sale. I did find interesting stuff there. Jet Smoothie mix, the "Antioxidant" they make at Tully's. That is awesome. Remember it's almost $4 at Tully's, you can get a full pack of that thing and make plenty yourself for pennies. They also have bulk frozen soup (healthy-ish based on the ingredients) for pretty little. Fantastic for parties, and I echo their coffee supplies aisle is pretty well stocked. The guys at the cashiers are generally rude. Seriously, don't just have notices saying "You are welcome to shop here", try harder. A "thank you" doesn't cost much, and you aren't even exactly THAT cheap. read more

I talked to the Very helpful staff and they explained there is a supplier issue at the moment... but that I should look back. Huge jars of candy, huge bags of rice, even huge jars of hot sauce! this place is amazing, like sam's club or costco but half the price for twice as much! if you like to buy in bulk you have to check this place out. you can even find organic soups for around $1! read more

We go there frequently to get food for home- coffee syrup, cheese bricks, meat, pasta noodles, hamburger patties, veggies & fruit...things we like in bulk or for when we have parties/gatherings. My bf also picks things up for his bar here and he gets I think a 10% discount. I found out this place carried hardwood pellets for smokers on the cheap. I thought that I would check it out and boy do they ever. And the store also has great prices are large cut of meats , best part is their prices beat out the local "big warehouse" stores. They also are a kitchen supply store so there are many utensils here that just cant be had at other stores. Its a great place to shop if you are feeding a bunch of people. read more

This place has saved me hundreds of dollars since I started coming here. Good quality meat and produce sold in bulk. I shop here for parties or if I'm preparing meals in advance for the week. I come here mainly for the meats which are restaurant quality and are sold for a fraction of the price of grocery stores because the butchering and packaging aren't done here. I love shopping at Cash and Carry. I discovered it by accident and ventured into the store to see if anyone could shop at this restaurant supply. I was happy when they said yes. Everything is fresher. I love the great prices. I'm eating healthier because of it. I used to pay 18 dollars for a 3 pound bag of frozen blueberries at QFC and now I pay 7 dollars for a 2 and a half pound bag. So many bargains. I love to shop here. The people are nice who work here. They are professional and courteous. It is like shopping at Costco without the yearly fee. I bought a big box of tomatoes, a bag of garlic, a bag of onions, spices in large containers, and made roasted tomato sauce twice so far. I'm grateful that I found Cash and Carry. read more

Just went here today! My parents recommended this place because they get there coffee vanilla syrup here. The manager was super kind and helped me get ready for my pancake breakfast school fundraiser. The store has great prices and is awesome for getting ready for events. Super professional and hard working people there. I got paper plates, cups, orange juice, apple juice, syrup, pancake mix, syrup pours and water pourers all for under $40! Love this place. I had to chime in here about the reviews I see for my favorite C&C (the one on Stone Ave in North Seattle) ... saying that the people who work there aren't all that friendly/helpful/etc. I'm not sure what these reviewers expect ... but my experience at this store is TOTALLY DIFFERENT! I've been shopping in this location (and at other C&C locations around the Seattle area, too) for the last 12 years, in there at least once a week, minimum ... and I have NEVER ONCE had them be anything other than 100% helpful and wonderful *to me* the whole time I've shopped there. And they go above and beyond for me, too! For example, one of the things I buy there are cases of coffee syrup in the flavor my husband and I prefer. They know I'm going to come in there in buy at least one/month ... sometimes two (depending on our consumption rate) ... and it's rare for them to not have one sitting on the top of the shelf waiting on me when I get there, still in the box. In other words, once they saw me making that purchase on a regular basis, they started ordering extra cases of my flavor so that they always have one when I come in. I didn't even have to ask. They just started doing it! Plus, they're always happy to drag the stairs out to go get it for me, too! In other words, I've found them to be friendly, helpful, and very in-tune with their regular customers as well. They get five stars in my book! :) read more
