I've been going to this Winco for at least 3-4 years and I'm giving it 5 stars just because it's open 24/7. I absolutely hate shopping for food during the day and having the option to go later at night is perfect for me. The prices are lower compared to most places which is also another plus. My only complaints are the produce and the meat can be a hit or miss. From my experience, they tend to spoil fast. read more

I don't know what's going on with their produce section, but it's obviously hurting. It could be the buyer for their stores, or it could be inept department management. I noticed a new produce manager a couple months ago. Hardly anything is fresh, and certain items are not stocked in a timely manner. You need to get it together! read more

My friend introduced me to WinCo as "It's like Costco, but you don't need a membership". He's somewhat right as it has a similar feel, but the portions aren't giant and the prices on many things are indeed competitive. The big attraction here is the Bulk section that has many options - rice, pasta, beans, grains and more. My frequently visited bulk section is the pet treats area. scored chew bones for the pup here at a great deal and less packaging than if I go someplace else. I like how they target us consumers with literal signs showing the price comparisons to the likes of Safeway, Walmart and my personal favorite Fred Meyer which is my main grocery shop and even some prices at WinCo beat them. At the same time, not EVERYthing at WinCo is a deal, or if it is lower, it is negligible. Sticking with the pet food, a 6 individual cans of Purina One, (my preferred) dog canned food is $1.85 here, down from $1.99 at Freddies, I'm all about saving money and frugality, but I couldn't imagine going out of the way for that. Alcohol here is actually more expensive that Freddies or otherwise here at $12.99 for Georgetown 6 packs, compared to $10.99 at Freddies. These are but a few measures, so I know there are deals to be had, but it pays to be a savvy shopper too. My hang ups here are they don't take Credit card. I'm sure that's to help cut down on their expense and middleman, etc. but that's annoying. Also I don't know if it's me but it just feels even more cramped in here than the already cramped markets, we all frequent. I felt like I was constantly blocking somebody even with my cart pulled all the way to the side. Beyond that WinCo is ok. read more

4.5 stars. One of the best WinCo locations in the Seattle area I've been to. Only reason I knock off .5 stars is they don't have frog legs like the Kent location does in the meat and seafood department. WinCo has low prices and does not take credit cards. Cash, Debit card, and EBT friendly only. You pack your own groceries self check out or not so be prepared with your own reusable bags or to pack your groceries in their paper bags. WinCo is open 24/7 which I am a huge fan of! Love this place for road trip snacks, early morning or late night grocery shopping or a random munchies run. The store has many products that you can't find at a Safeway or a QFC. Prices on specific products can be $2-4 cheaper at WinCo compared to Safeway or QFC which is a big plus. I love that I can find my fav Malt O Meal Brown Sugar here as I can't find that product at other grocery stores (only the dumb packets). Great deals and great products! My Go-To for Affordable Groceries I continue to shop at WinCo on the regular and it's become my reliable spot for stretching my grocery budget. I purchase seasonal plants for my balcony here and find this is the best store to buy my pantry staples. Most foods are significantly discounted compared to big grocery chains or gourmet type stores. One of my favorite features is that they're open 24 hours, which is incredibly convenient for my schedule (especially before traveling). With all the crap happening with this White House administration and the cost of groceries due to their b.s., I highly recommend this place if you're looking to make your grocery dollars go further. I like Winco I shop there often, my experience today had to do with ADA, I am disabled have a very difficult time walking so I need use of an electric cart to do my shopping, I arrived early this morning counting 8 electric carts out front, but everyone had dead batterie's and not a single one was plugged in to charge either, I had to get at least food for dinner so I used a regular cart walking in pain I was only able walk far enough to quickly get a few items, a fraction of the shopping I needed to do and check out while I could still stand, after checking out in pain I had to sit on the bench across from the register and rest a bit before making it out to the parking lot, now this afternoon my leg is in such pain from trying to walk around Winco I can't even stand on it. Come on Winco you can do better than this! life is hard being crippled why make it hard for me to shop? read more

Winco is my go-to grocery store even though it's a bit further than Freddy's and a lot further than Safeway ($), QFC ($) and TJs. It's employee-owned. There aren't a lot of staff on the floor (like EVERY grocery store) but they are helpful and knowledgeable. Packaged, bulk and organic veggies. Not the prettiest in town but that's ok. Well-stocked, reasonably priced refrigerated salad dressing. Large bulk item section. Smallish bakery section. Reasonably priced meats (some name brands). Extensive dairy section with Darigold FIT milk. Organic eggs. The seasonal aisle is up front. That's where things go on sale. They haven't reorganized in the years I've been shopping here. Once you're familiar with the layout, zoom. Good prices every day. No loss leaders. If you're worried one of the big three has something on sale, price check with their apps. Self checkout (15 recommended limit) is now debit only. You can use Apple Pay if you have a cash card installed. Cash is now (late 2025) taken only at staffed registers. No CCs. May not be the best store for once-a-month shopping as you bag your own (unless there are two folks shopping). I have never seen a shopping cart filled with trash. Occasionally there might be a plastic veggie bag. No boxes like at Costco unless you bring your own. Don't like their bags? Bring your own. (All stores here charge for bags; it's the law.) A few plants outside. Nothing like Freddy's or even QFC. Big parking lot. Hungry? Run to Dick's! Smallish hot food section in the store. What's not to like? First time here and I love it! I thought going to Fred Meyer was reasonable, but this place has even better prices and great finds. Just be prepared--they only take cash or debit cards. The Dubai chocolate is ono--$6.99 for a bag, individually wrapped, and totally worth it. I was visiting from Hawaiʻi and wished I could buy everything! I came during Thanksgiving, and they even had a promotion where you get a free turkey if you spend $150. Definitely a place I'd come back to whenever I'm in town. read more

I love Winco and I have no idea how it took me this long to discover it. The grocery store is always super clean and bright and just makes you want to be there. The produce prices can't be beat and I always find great deals here. It's always really good quality and a good deal. what you cannot miss is the bulk section in the back. It has just about everything you can think of and they always provide bags large and small so that you can buy in bulk. I have compared prices and the book prices are pretty comparable to Costco bulk pricing but the benefit of buying it here is that you can buy as much or as little as you want. It's really nice that I can come here and buy a few pounds of flour when I need it instead of buying it in 25 pounds bags for the same price. I buy my sugars and candies and other books stuff from here as well. The only thing that I get confused about is buying some powdered items that I don't know recipes for. Does anybody know how to use for example, their brownie mix? I guess you can measure it out and pretend it's a box mix and just follow any box direction? Not sure. Or even their cheese powder mix. Regardless, everything is a great deal and I know I can find great items for sale here. Oh yeah, and don't forget about the food court. Their fried chicken meal with fries is delicious. There was one time I had the best fries of my life here but after coming here a few times I realize the quality varies. It's always good, but it hasn't reached peak Since the first time I had it. I shop Winco often however, 03/24/26 was a frustrating morning for me. It was raining very heavy as well. When I finished shopping I left the store and went out to start my vehicle, all I heard was click, click. Appeared I had a dead battery. I called AAA and they said 1.5 hour wait. I needed to be at work in 1 hour. Went into the store and found a super helpful person named Lisa. She was fantastic. I needed a wrench to remove the connections prior to AAA and she came to my rescue. Lisa loaned me a couple of tools (pink) that worked. After I cleaned the connections with those pink tools, my vehicle started. I went in and gave the them back to Lisa and told her how amazing she was and for her kindness. For me that day she was a Godsend. I made it to work on time. I can't thank you enough. Thank you Lisa. read more

Prices are lower because WinCo does not accept credit cards. I'm thankful! I buy my canned goods here, drinks, sausage, bacon, butter, cheese, household cleaning goods, candy... Then I go to Costco and Trader Joe's for other things. WinCo is a saver for families and seniors living on a limited budget. Best prices for groceries! The atmosphere isn't great, but that's okay, they have everything I need in one stop. Always plenty of parking, the lines move fast. They have the frozen pizzas I like, and our favorite cold brew by Stok. The location is convenient, right by the freeway, and the employees are very friendly. They also had a ton of options for cat food, and beer and wine. Definitely a good option for budget groceries. read more

Adventuring to the WinCo Foods on Highway 99 by Dick's Drive-In today, Tuesday 14 November 2023, I stopped in to look for a bakery item or two for a hypothetical wedding cake tasting... yes I am a little weirdo and went with a 12 ounce old fashioned pound cake from the in-store bakery/WinCo Foods Bake Shop. I figured out if everyone at the wedding (say 24 people) got 4 ounces of cake, we would need 8 cakes. I only went with 1 cake ($4.28) for the tasting and was pleased. If that hypothetical wedding ever comes to be, the pound cake would be my pick if available. Looking through some of the other store offerings, I found excellent deals on a number of items. I got a couple of the seasonal candy items, each of which priced in at less than $1.50. It was before 10:00 a.m., but I still looked over the deli items to see if anything looked good. I went with a tuna salad sandwich ($2.98). The bread was soft and salad strong on its tuna flavor, also not losing the tuna texture to creaminess. For the lane I chose at check out, one of the self check-out lanes, the payment methods accepted excluded credit cards and cash, so I opted for my debit card. I drive through the parking lot each time I go to Dick's Drive-In and each time I have passed by, the WinCo Foods parking lot has been busy - no matter the time of day. The parking lot handles this well and is large with aisles that are well labeled, including directional arrows, which I find helpful. read more

An underrated foodie paradise with bargain prices. The selection is vast, and the bulk section is so fun and comprehensive. I left with a ton of rare Polar seltzer flavors, multiple random sweets from the bulk section that easily outshines what you'd find in Seattle, and a ton of other random ingredients way cheaper than elsewhere. It's somewhere between a hybrid of Costco, Town and Country in Ballard, Grocery Outlet, and Walmart maybe? The system for checking out is pretty cool and efficient too. It's employee owned I believe, and it shows in the attention to detail, the stellar selection of products, and systems in place to help keep the prices so competitive for high quality stuff. The only weakness seems to be the fresh produce section, which depending on the section and time you go, could have stuff that's probably on its way to expiration. read more

The store is well stocked with off brands, but has people really fooled with their prolific signs about prices in other stores. Other stores have better sales and prices as a whole are not lower here. The specials, coupons and benefits such as fuel discounts at other stores make for lower grocery/fuel bills overall. I tried their chicken strips last time and it was a huge package, it made a lot of lunches. More limited variety in some areas like Italian and Asian food. I have heard of WinCo for many years, but only in the past year that I went there. I *love* it! Before I went, I have heard this is a budget friendly grocery store. Two stand-outs at these stores: 1. The produce areas - big selection with great prices. The organic section is very, very small. But hey, it's a budget grocery store, so this didn't surprise me one bit. 2. The bulk foods section is HUGE. It's the biggest I've seen than any other store. It's clear that some restaurant/eatery owners come here to shop too. They have those giant bins on the ground level as well as the pull-down-handle dispensers. They have coffee and even tea in bulk. They also have spices in bulk and the machines that make freshly grinded peanut butter, almond butter, etc. The seasonal items are cheaper than other places, including Target. They don't have steep sales, or the doorbuster items. For their shelf-stable goods, I can buy them cheaper if I wait for a sale at the regular stores. Service is borderline non-existent. During the weekend, lines are super long. The self-checkout lines move along reasonably fast. A BIG GOTCHA is that they do NOT accept credit cards. They take debit, EBT cards, and cash. read more

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, and it wasn't me. I went in to get ONE donut at 7 AM, and yesterday's donuts were still in the case. The employee said she was still working on getting the donuts out, so I gathered other things I needed. When I returned, I still had no donuts. Dont go here if you have to help people shop at the same time as you. Everything is great till you get to the checkout. You have to pay, try and bag, then run back and pay, then run back and bag, all the while they are sending your food down a chute smashing your breads and tomatoes. And ALL of your orders go to one side piling up while they start sending the next person in line right after you. Granted they flip the switch to divert their order to the other half of the checkstand, but there is still no room and any elderly people cannot move fast enough, so they get plowed over. We even tried the self check out thinking it wouldn't be as stressful, but its only for 25 items or less, which is all you want to be purchasing if you go through the checkstand. ALSO there is not many handicap parking spots in their lot too. I don't think this store is Handicap friendly at all. I am not Handicapped and I flail around juggling just to get items destroyed in the checkout. We just stopped going here. Walmart is friendlier. read more

Must I say, I absolutely love WinCo. The prices, the quality, convenience in shopping, it's got it all! I absolutely love the bulk section where I can get whatever amount of certain ingredients. The downside of this WinCo is the layout, I personally prefer the Everett WinCo layout of just 2 sections where here there are 3 and it feels like I always keep going around in circles here looking for things. I've been shopping here for almost 10 years, and will continue to do so. I will give an honest review of persistent traits, good or bad. Pros: Excellent and competitive prices, diverse stock of items, some of which you cant find elsewhere. Helpful employees and in most cases quite competent. The interior is easy to navigate, comfortable and open so as to not be claustrophobic. They don't switch things around on you very often, if at all, so knowing the layout is easy. Their Winco generic brand is good. Cons: It can be a bit agoraphobic, however. Sometimes, not often. To the point of bumping into people. Like sardines in a can, like a Japanese subway car during rush hour. Its often chaos on the floor, people going every which way... not even ten feet inside the door and already heading against traffic... there are no guides on the aisles like lanes in a road. The store does little to help the problem as many checkout lanes are shut down and lines are long. I don't much appreciate being forced to choose crappy paper bags... they've done away with the plastic (last I checked), and charge you for the bags you cant use for anything else. At least plastic can be used to line my garbage can at home. But this is rainy Washington and these crappy paper bags (which require the slaughtering of forests) don't last the walk to the car in the rain. Not everyone uses a car either; I used to take the bus. Good luck getting home in the rain without your bags breaking. They charge you for the crap bag too (some of which don't have handles, broken or defective), which they could factor into the prices of items instead so I don't have to see it on my bill. Its just one final jab to my gut before I leave. They do nothing for customer experience in general. Good luck finding a shopping cart that isn't FILLED with trash. Its disgusting. I often don't even use the carts. At least a quarter of all carts contain garbage as it sits there supposedly prepped for a customer to bring into the store. I don't want to touch someone else's trash, and I dont want my food items touching it either. A fair number of the carts have crappy wheels too, you cant adequately control the cart as you drive it through the store, knocking into walls. I've also had some carts lock wheels on me not but ten feet from the front door upon exit. Major pet peeves... outside the store in the parking lot shared by other stores... the place is trashed beyond belief. Garbage all over. The entire parking lot reeks of an ash tray and its not helped by the numerous smokers, some of which are employees, which use the awning in front of the store to stay out of the rain. Its illegal to do that within x number of feet of an entrance and its a rule the store wont enforce on their customers (or other loiterers), much less employees. If you take issue with that particular stench, park close and use a respirator. Its one of the WORST parking lots in the county, IMO. The parking lot isn't well regulated either with regard to traffic. There are really only two exits and to get to them you have to take the stretch of road directly in front of the store. There is a constant stream of pedestrians spanning the entire path, and none hold any regard for vehicular traffic, unless and except when they are the ones behind the wheel, then its all they care about. Just put a pedestrian cross walk and a stop sign in, is that so much to ask? Its a relatively dangerous parking lot, all things considered. I'm surprised more people aren't hit. It takes sometimes 8 minutes to navigate all the traffic to get to an exit 30 feet away. Major frustration dealing with people who wont let others take a fair turn. The men's bathroom isn't the worst I've seen, but its not the best either. Dirty, smelly and poorly stocked and I wouldn't bring it up unless it were a persistent problem. There is also no place to put your full cart so that you can slip into the bathroom. I've popped into the bathroom for three minutes just to find my cart gone and all my stuff being put back on the shelves. I've had my cart stolen by other customers too who didn't have the forethought to grab one on the way in. There are no considerations for bathroom-users. Also, the POS system sucks. I dont know if its typical of all debit transactions that credit doesnt suffer, but the processing wait times are horrendously long, and prone to error. I would hope and pray that either the managers at this store or corporate read this comment and take it as legitimate criticism and constructive advice. I think the prices are worth the trouble, but I only go once a month and stock up. If I have to make a daily or weekly run to the store Id opt for Safeway or QFC instead, which are only blocks away. read more

Their prices are unbeatable, they even undercut Amazon by a good amount on pricing. I'm surprised they haven't put the competitors out of business. But when you look at their locations it's clear the competition steers clear of building nearby to them. I will only shop here from now on. It's out of the way for people that live in Seattle but it's well worth the extra travel time to pay a fraction of the price for a ton of groceries. They're even cheaper than Grocery Outlet. Only thing is you need to make sure to use your bank card as they don't accept Apple Pay. read more

Great finds but checkout can be stressful - after my latest visit here I'd recommend using cash if you don't often use debit just in case something's up with the card reader or on the back end. Produce wasn't in good shape on Monday night maybe try another day of the week. I don't think I'll be doing my main shopping here anymore due to the amount of stressful experiences and long waits I've had and that I've witnessed while going through the main checkout haha. read more

But fundamentally, the stuff is good, and unlike Costco, there is no membership required. I was first drawn in by the bulk foods, and they are amazing...but that's not all there is. As a family of four and inflation making things so expensive- I am very thankful for the consistency of affordable prices at Winco. We find good produce, and plenty of options to fill our needs. I can't say anything on customer service while we are in store because we have never needed help. I will highlight the fantastic option of the Caroline Cart. It's a shopping cart with a seat for larger bodies with disabilities. My son being autistic, I am very thankful for this option when he is struggling to stay still and patient while I need to shop. Credit cards are not accepted- but we don't use credit cards, so it's never been an issue for us. In the end, I absolutely recommend shopping at Winco. Only downfall is the long lines- even when a lot of registers are opened- but I guess that just shows how good the store is because we keep going back! read more
