I find markets very interesting, especially markets that are not available in my home town. When I was in the city, I went to PCC to take a look at the offerings. When I walked in, the first thing that I noticed was the extensive bakery. In the bakery, there's a massive cookie dough case. I have never seen anything like this before. I think if I lived here. I would be a cookie addict. The pastries all look very wonderful and there was a huge selection. I came later in the afternoon, so most of it was sold out, but I can't even imagine in the morning when it's bustling with new bakes. The rest of this market was very clean and organized. All produce looked very fresh. The woman at the cookie counter was so nice and chatty with me on the cookie dough they offered. Love this type of wonderful service. This location is closest to my office, and it's been a great option for breakfast, lunch and grocery shopping in general. Compared to some of the other locations I go to like in View Ridge, the Bothell location is more spacious, has a wider selection of prepared foods, and is well-stocked. Parking is plentiful and easy, and they have plenty of cashiers and self-checkout for a quick trip. read more

The PCC Community Markets in Bothell was large, well set-up and stocked on my visit to get some brunch this past Saturday, 4 February 2023. I arrived just before 10 a.m. and was uncertain if/what hot foods might be available. They had a selection of breakfast items, of which I went with the potatoes, tofu scramble, and the last packet of Beeler's bacon. There were a number of bakery items both from the in-house bakery and other health food brands. After perusing the PCC bakery items I decided to go with the vegan gingersnap cookie. My bill came to $11.95 pre-tax, which was a fair price especially with the hot food items. Everything I had was delicious, well seasoned, and the combination of items just hit the spot. PCC seams more corporate than community as they like to advertise. Also was taken by surprise when an older white male clerk in the self check out was extremely rude and condescending to me, so much for customer service kindness. Also, PCC added seed oil in almost everything in the hot food bar and bakery, that has happened in just the past few years. I paid their higher prices not to have stuff like that in the food I buy. So, I stopped buying all of that food. Seed oil is a real concern as it is causing many health issues. I have switched to going across the street to QFC they are carrying more healthier foods now and at least they are nicer there and not lying about what there store advertises in there hot bar and baker. I can make my own food, so I won't miss the unwelcoming feeling I got more than once at this PCC. Some employees very nice, but too many aren't from my experiences there. read more

Totally glad I stopped by here today. Awesome and fantastic customer service. The gentleman at the deli counter was very patient and allowed me to sample the protein salad (chick peas, carrots, celery and sweet potato) I highly recommend it. I also had the broccoli salad (definitely recommend it) 10/10. They have the best salmon burgers (fresh)... I will totally sign up for the rewards program and be a regular at PCC, the ambiance, atmosphere and fresh healthy food has captured my attention. I highly recommend this location. read more

For the manager working here you have an aggressive pan handler problem in the parking lot. Thursday at 9-10pm a guy girl couple is approaching everyone, methodically, and persistently. I personally stopped shopping here because it's ridiculous. The parking lot needs a security guard. Cops needs to step up and deter this type of behavior before it turns into Renton. Kirkland PD does an incredible job deterring hobos from their grocery store and parking lots. read more

I know people that love PCC, but admittedly it's been a long time since I've been to one. For years the closest to me was Edmonds and that was a hike. Totally worth it for a kids' cooking class! I had a so-so experience recently at the Canyon Park location. Not great, not horrible. Was looking for fresh lasagne sheets and thought this would be a great first stop. There was nobody to ask as they were either busy behind a counter or would step away when I approached. Odd, but I decided to just peruse the store myself a few times in search of it. No dice, but I was able to find it at my next stop thankfully. I did pick up some other gems and I loved how fresh and well-priced the produce was! At checkout I was asked if I was a member to which I replied "No". The cashier didn't let me know what that meant nor said anymore about it, which was odd as well. I decided to focus myself on the person bagging my groceries. She definitely took her time and care with the groceries, which was appreciated, but it's not typical to have cheese packed on top of raw meat (both store-wrapped). At this point I just chalked it up to a weird experience and waited for my grocery total...and waited...and waited...then I realized the cashier wasn't going to tell me my total so I perused the screen and paid. I made sure to separate the raw meat from the cheese when I got to my car. Would I go back? Probably, but I won't be running there. Maybe it was just an off-day. read more

Some of the male employees are very rude. There is what we call the pizza Nazi, who yells at you if you don't put the scoop under the next piece of pizza and then there's checkout people that tell you in spite of the fact that there is no barcode on the item it's your job to put in the number of the grocery even though the cash register doesn't tell you how to do it and neither does the clerk . Given the high prices, PCC should instruct their employees to be customer appreciative, and supportive, especially toward handicap people like me. Got the pork burrito in their take out section. No salsa bar at the moment to go with burrito that I could see. Most likely because of covid hence burrito was kinda dry without it. PCC is a great place to get local products. Also excited for any place that allows us to bring in our own containers to make "bulk product" purchases. While they have varying spices in their bulk section, there are still some basic stuff missing like oregano. There was also a lot of confusion between staff when we were trying to get our glassware weighed. One employee said to go to the cashier to get it weighed, then the cashier said it didn't need to be weighed. That didn't sound right, so we moved to another cashier (possibly a manager) who finally got it weighed. Phew. Products are good anyway! read more

I have a friend that works at PCC and she is always saying good things about them. So yesterday I swung in here for my lunch break, ate lunch here, browsed the shelves, bought kombucha, and a a cookie, and I have to say, I am a fan of PCC! This morning on my way to work, another friend mentioned they had amazing breakfast sandwiches, so I had to try it! This is my favorite PCC location. It's new and large (for this kind of grocery store), and PCC seems to have incorporated everything it's learned all of its other stores. The produce selection is second to none. Most of it is organic. Much of it is local. And the produce folks are pretty good about making sure it is fresh. They are not perfect, but they do try. This store has a complete kitchen. It also has stations with different kinds of food. The meat and seafood department, though small, still has a great selection. And everything in that department is of the highest quality. The people that work in that department are exceptionally friendly and helpful. About the only issue I have with this store is that sometimes they don't open enough of the registers to make check out move along a little quicker. read more

This is such a bad ass PCC market, the selection here is amazing and the food is actually like going to a decent restaurant. When you walk in you have coffee and fresh food right at the entrances You can see the cooks making the food with the no wall blocking the kitchen layout and half this location is dedicated to fresh cooked on that day food. Bonus, they have cooking classes in the back that anyone can sign up for and it is actually a really lovely looking class with a space for demonstration and an audience. read more

I would call this place a Whole Foods junior, but better. They have lots of organic and local ingredients and products available. Love going to the bakery and hot deli. Always have fresh and specialty cookies, like flourless cookies. Hot deli has really good pizzas and sandwiches. I've eaten and shopped at this market since it opened. It's very close to my office and the food is always fresh. I normally have breakfast and lunch at the Bothell PCC market. The one issue I have with this market is that they keep their beautiful bakery goods behind a glass window to protect them from customers. Occasionally, while waiting to order coffee and pay for my meal, I've noticed flys on the baked goods. Sometime later, I observed the PCC installed 2 small electric fans to blow air over the baked goods. I guess they thought the moving air would keep flying bugs a bay. It's not working. I noticed a large fly on their baked goods today. I also observed that the 2 fans were pretty dirty. I think some sort of cover or case for their baked goods would be a great id 11/19/2018 Back for coffee and still no resolution to the fly issues at Bothell PCC. I took a few new photos. This specific store has beautiful, fresh organic meats, produce, and tasty seafood. Shout-out to the male who works in the meat department that taught me how to cook two beautiful pieces of tenderloin! He said pan fry each side for 2 mins then put in oven for 20 mins at 300 degrees. Lovely marbling from the meat. Will never forget that. I'm sure I'll see him soon again. I also love their corn bread that's individually wrapped by the deli section - moist and perfect amount of sweetness! Oh and their turkey & havarti sandwiches....so divine. I get one once a week :P just wish they made them a little bigger (they feel smaller compared to when they sold them in the summertime). Everything is spotless clean, even the bathroom. I am a member of PCC. Good food but it's overpriced! The amount of virtue signaling in this store is out of control. Vegan this, vegan that. You don't need to put "vegan" on a pumpkin pie. Also, seems like the staff are forced to wear BLM, LGBTQ and any other radical leftist cause buttons on their clothing. I come here to buy good food, I don't come here to be indoctrinated. So lay off the ridiculous virtue signaling. This is not Seattle, this is Bothell. Wake up PCC! I have problems breathing and one day, my mask slipped below my nostrils. Masks irritate my eyes because of the shape of my face. A militant deli worker confronted me and told me to put my mask on properly. I spoke to the millennial manager about this harassment. Instead of being sympathetic, he escalated the situation and made me feel like a criminal. This tinpot dictator threatened to kick me out of the store almost immediately. I've lived here for 20 years and have never been treated so disrespectfully. I could have gone to the CEO of PCC but I let it go. After reading other reviews about mask snitches in the store, I was wrong to be silent about this outrageous treatment. COVID-era review. I was so impressed in the leadership of pcc in making quick adjustments at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. They were certainly leaders in this regard. As a result of this, my family became intentional about buying as much of our household necessities as possible from this store. Now, we are seriously reconsidering this choice. King county has advised people to wear masks in public places.... So I was hugely disappointed to see so many staff in this store not even trying to wear their masks properly. Please educate your employees on this!! If you are paying them extra for working an essential job during a global health crisis, don't make a mockery of your employees by having them disregard this policy! read more

Clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing! Full disclosure, I rarely come into this store. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I went in a few days ago to find it as clean and organized as it was the week it opened for the first time years ago. I couldn't help but to feel good when I walked into the store. I was specifically looking for an item that a friend of mine told me she got there. Turns out I probably had the wrong store but nonetheless I walked around and found the options vast. This is a feel good, healthy eating type of grocery store. This is definitely not your typical processed food / junk food type of store. It's more for the health food crazed! What I really liked was the different options and the variety they had for single serve meals, whether it was a salad or something with a little more umph to it. There were different sizes of the pre assembled meals which was cool. I noticed as I walked around I found prepackaged and pre-assembled fresh meals in different locations in the store. For instance, there were a few near the self-serve buffet salad bar then I found some more in the refrigerated section. Regardless, if you are looking for a pre-made fresh and healthy meal, this is an excellent place to find that. read more

How I didnt notice the immense deli and salad/soup bar before I dont know, but this place deserves a restaurant rating as well. 1st off, PCC's ecological efforts are OUTSTANDING, wherever possible, compostable and earth friendly packaging is used/available. I noticed that both 'eco-plastic' and "bio-plus" cardboard are available for the salad bar, i used the cardboard and it worked great. BONUS GREEN star for PCC. I've enjoyed the Mediterranean lentil soup, the quinoa salads, curry tofu, the reuben panini and turkey wrap. All delicious, the chefs are light with the salt-shaker, I like a little more (thats great, you can always ADD salt) :) The '$$$' is unwarranted here, if you get a meal for one you're looking at $11-15, a $$ rating. I went in last night, got a few items, went to the register and NO debit card! Looked all through my purse and could not find my card so I had no way to pay. The man that was running self check printed a receipt, took my name and phone number & told me to take the merchandise and pay within 30 days. WOW!!! That is excellent customer service and so appreciated. I went in there tonight because I had found my debit card and bought a few items and easily paid for my prior evening's purchase. I also got a couple of delicious items from the hot bar & some sesame seasoned snap peas from the deli that are delicious! I first discovered PCC years ago and became a member. When choosing between PCC and Whole Foods I will pick PCC every time! Not only are they local, they have better service, and support tons of local organic, sustainable agricultural efforts through the PCC Land Trust. I love my monthly news release which publishes important agro and environmental issue articles as well as informative debates on various topics. PCC was strongly behind our failed GMO labeling initiative and I can only commend them for all of the work they continue to do on that front. Last Summer, I was stoked to hear a PCC (Bothell) was opening near my office and they did not disappoint! This store has become my regular weekly lunch spot. From scratch made delicious deli soups, to a daily roasted meat selection (you have to try the lamb!), to daily hot food specials, Ellenos yogurt counter, organic espresso bar, bulk spices, and a great charcuterie section (awesome prosciutto, BTW). Thanks to PCC my lunches are healthy and tasty! The staff has always been friendly and engaging. I spend plenty of time chatting up the wine steward or the deli folks. Admittedly, I don't always do all of my grocery shopping at PCC, but a good majority of it. In my experience, they are a few notches above WF, Central Market, and Metropolitan Market on the quality of food, service and social responsibility. P.S. Well I really love this place because it's a small community organic market with many options including soup bakery really good bakery which is the best takeout salads fresh butcher etc. however when I go there the takeout Pizza slice has no meat on it including pepperoni or sausage seven dollars a slice really! without ingredients in addition recently I monitored my blood pressure after buying the fettuccine linguine with broccoli I had today was way too high in sodium at least that's what my blood pressure monitor indicates if I keep eating high sodium at PCC I'll be dead soon. read more

I had never heard of PCC, but my friends got all excited on my behalf when they heard a PCC was opening near my house, so I wanted to come check it out. Obviously it's a brand new location so it's experiencing some growing pains, but I think there's a lot of potential here for folks that love natural/organic and vegetarian/vegan products. One important thing to note: this is not the place to come to do your weekly grocery shopping, especially and most importantly if you cook your own meals. PCC will remind you strongly of a smaller, less well-stocked Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, with familiar brands replaced by quirky organic knockoffs at twice the price, and a massive, disproportionate footprint of the store devoted to prepared foods (tacos, pizza, salad bar, etc.). In that sense, PCC is far more like a cafeteria than a grocery, but the foods looked and smelled fabulous (I had already had dinner, unfortunately). Aisles are narrow, short, and laid out diagonally in relation to the walls of the store, which is a little disorienting. The cashiers are on the far right of the store (as you face when walking into the entrance) rather than the usual spot right in front. Nothing that can be done about that, I suppose, and it's probably fine once you've been to the store a few times. The bulk foods and wine sections were quite impressive, if a little overly pricey. The fresh meats/seafood section was also impressive. The produce section is far, far smaller than you'd hope for at a natural foods market, but the produce they had looked pretty good. Prices in the meats/seafood and produce sections were comparable to other higher-end groceries in the area. Overall, PCC seems like a good place to come for lunch or take-home dinner if you have enjoyed eating at a Whole Foods or other natural/organic market. It's also a good place to grab that rare organic ice cream or green tea or cereal that you can't find anywhere else. At this point, and while they're still getting into their rhythm, this is not the place to do your weekly grocery shopping, but I'm looking forward to coming back here and seeing how they grow into their new location. read more
